Hey...

I’m your girlfriend’s ex…

I don’t know if she’s talked about me or what happened but yeah…

I did something I’m not proud of to get to where I am now in her life.

You’re probably wondering why some fucking asshole like me would want to talk to you.

I’m here to tell you about some of the things I learned while with her, and I’m here to tell you some of the things that I fucked up on.

Because I know she’ll never forgive me...

And trust me, you don’t want to be where I am.

[pause]

She’s an amazing girl, You’re lucky to be with her.

I was fucking lucky but I didn’t know it then and now I know I shouldn’t have been.

I’ll start with the things I got right, the things I got lucky with.

[nostalgic, reminiscing tone]

When you meet her parents, try to make them laugh. She’ll appreciate that.

When you see her hands start shaking. Hold them close to your heart and bring her in close… fastest way to relax those jitterbugs.

When you guys eventually start sleeping in the same bed, try to fall asleep on her chest… i promise, she loves it.

At least try to help her when she tries to cook something, I know she’s not the best cook and you’d be in danger being in the kitchen with her but trust me…

it’s worth it. It makes the best memories...

Now to the things I fucked up…

I fucked up being there for her when she needed me the most...  Whenever she calls you saying she needs you. She really does.

I fucked up not giving her time, girls are complicated, and especially her… she’s not going to have an answer for you straight away.

I fucked up not letting her help me, don’t do this shit where you feel that she can’t help you since you’re the one that’s supposed to support her. You’re in a relationship, support each other.

Let her comfort you... let her give you all of her love.

That’s all she wants.

Look, I’m not looking to get back with her, those thoughts of our future are long gone.

I just want her to be happy… I want her to feel like she’s on cloud 9 waking up in the morning knowing she’s with you.

I’ve lost all my chances, I was just another asshole in her life. Now holding her hand for the first time is something I regret.

She’s been the most important person in my life, I don’t care if she doesn’t give a shit about me, that doesn’t matter. I just don’t want her to feel the same way when I was with her.

So just for me, I don’t care if you don’t do what I’ve told you before because all I want you to do is this.

Take care of her… cause’ after me, she finally deserves someone that can.
