Marduk's booming voice sounds quiet as he realizes that he won't be able to finish recovering in time to allow him to move out of the reach of the blast of pure power being generated by Tiamat. Therefore, in an act of pure desperation, he tries to throw his axe at the two of you, just in time for Tiamat to let loose a blast of pure white destructive energy from her mouth at him which was supplemented by a tiny beam of Truth just underneath it. Tiamat's blast slammed into the Axe of Marduk and overpowered it in an instant, sending the axe spinning backwards towards it's owner while your attack pierced Marduk just at his waist.

The powerful God got to say nothing more as his own axe bisected him vertically, which was followed up by you also slashing him in two, leaving the god in four pieces as the bulk of the blast of energy overwhelmed him and scorched the pieces of Marduk. Marduk was dead. Tiamat had been victorious.
