'Sup, doods!

I've gotta be real with you. In terms of switching my brain to content creator mode, rewriting my thought processes about video editing and social media posting is going to be the trickiest part of the transition. On one hand, I managed to upload all of my personal best video backlog and schedule the relevant social media posts to go public over the next 2 1/2 months. The schedule is at the bottom of this update if you missed my posts about it. On the other hand, it was the ONLY thing I managed to get done over my week-long break. Well, that's on top of the eight pounds I managed to gain from overeating for Thanksgiving. Worth it, doods. I feel like I wasted an opportunity to get ahead on my other goals. Fortunately, the things that the StreamElements founders were saying about the Israel conflict made any efforts I would have made to redoing my stream UI a near-pointless endeavor. Guess I'll be trying to “mix it up” going forward. I was going to redo everything by scratch, anyway.

In any case, that is where my state of mind is at the moment. I think I have some tournament things to take care of next. I'll figure that out tomorrow. As an aside, I found a new time-wasting pastime for my phone. This time, it's a 2019 game called Rogue Adventure, a rougelike RPG where you battle with cards and skills during your adventure. “Slay the Spire at home” is probably a terrible simplification, but the pixel art aesthetic it has certainly leads my thoughts down that path. It's probably hella outdated by this point, but nothing else is scratching my single-player card game experience itch at the moment. Would Marvel Snap help?

Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals (actual priority is in constant flux):

Goal #5: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. This is the big thing I hope to get done before the next tournament.
Goal #6: clean up my own stream layout. I am brainstorming how I want the final theming to be. I probably want to give people multiple options, maybe allow spending bits to change the look. I don't have anything written down yet. I don't expect to get to this anytime soon.
Goal #7: maybe make a universal LPS broadcast layout. I have a base, but perhaps I should stylize one for the LPS brand. Let's just say I have plans. Hopefully I wouldn't over-homogenize it like SpeedGaming did. I think I actually need to focus on this ahead of January's Super Puzzle Fighter tournament.
Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.

Streams are on hold until I accomplish these goals. Anything I decide to do will be of the guerilla variety and have very little notice. There would probably have to be community races of some sort in order to get this to happen.
