    → growing up, it's safe to say that sejeong had a pretty normal childhood. she grew up as the second and final child to seo minhyuk, and his wife, jihyun, two years after their oldest daughter, sekyung. and from then on, the four were a picture perfect family. during the early years of her life, sejeong and the rest of her family lived close to her mother's parents, near the hotel that they ran on jeju island. sejeong doesn't remember much of it, but she can recall running between the elevators, playing elaborate games of hide and seek with her grandmother, and floating around in the big pool with her pink floaties. when sejeong was five years old, her grandfather finally passed away, on her grandmother followed soon after. it was a devastating time for the family, and sejeong didn't really make things any better, as she was too young to understand what was going on at the time, and kept trying to ask her mother if she could go and play hide and seek with her grandfather. with both her grandparents gone, the hotel was left to her mother and her aunt. sejeong's mother decided that she didn't want to run the hotel on top of trying to raise two children, to ultimately, it was passed onto her aunt, who was more than happy to take over. however, once her aunt took over the hotel, sejeong's parents packed up their small house and moved the family of four to the city, away from their aunt. it was a new experience for sejeong, who wasn't used to things outside of jeju island, and wasn't used to not being allowed to use the hotel facilities as much as she wanted to anymore. however, growing up in the city was never a problem for her. her parents both worked well off jobs during the day while sejeong and her older sister were at school, and they earned more than enough to sustain for their family, even if sejeong and her sister had to stay at the neighbours house for a few hours after school everyday.
    → it wasn't until her final year of high school when she finally began to date, and started with her first boyfriend. she supposes it was doomed from the start, given that they started dating a couple of weeks before their graduation, and they were both going off to different colleges. they're relationship didn't last longer than a couple of months, and at the time, sejeong hadn't really thought much of it anyway, so she hadn't been that devastated when it ended. however, all of her relationships following this seemed to end the same way. she wasn't sure if it was because she was racing into them too quickly, or because it was simply the wrong time, but no relationship of hers has ever lasted more than a couple of months at best. and now, aged 23, she's had a total of five boyfriends, none of which she's managed to hang onto for more than three months total. she doesn't know how to feel about the fact that he dumped her because she was too clingy, and too over protective and too demanding of attention. these were all things that she felt were normal in a relationship, so she can't quite work out why this was the reason for the downfall of it. she's only recently just been broken up with, but she doesn't intend to dwell on it for long. seo sejeong likes to look at the positives in life, and she thinks it's about time she and her friends pay a visit to her aunt's resort in jeju island. sejeong thinks it'll be the perfect way to move on from their breakups, and she's ready to meet some new people, and maybe even find a new boyfriend while she's at it.

      it's not a stretch to say that seo sejeong is a very chatty person. extremely chatty. like constantly talking. there's never a quiet moment when you're around her, because she's always yapping on about something or other to try and fill the silence. quite clearly, sejeong never got the memo that comfortable silences could be a thing, too, because she's always talking and trying to make enough noise to fill the silent void. which is fine, most of the time. except for when other people really want to be left alone, or really enjoy peace and quite, in which sejeong is the most annoying person to have around, and the last person you want sitting across from you. it's no secret that she's the number one, most hated student by the campus librarians, because even in a public space like a library, where you're supposed to be quite, sejeong still won't shut up. it's no surprise that she's been banned from all the local libraries in her area for disruptive behaviour (see: talking), and the only library she has yet to be banned from is the one on campus (and there's probably rules against actually banning her, anyway. the point is, being quite is definitely not one of her strong points. she just likes to talk all the time, 24/7. and if she's got no one to talk to, she'll just talk to herself. she's a sporty person, but the muscle she seems to work out the most is probably her jaw, at the rate of all her talking. and with her chatty personality comes her friendly nature. sejeong is a friendly person, sometimes even overly friendly. she likes to meet new people, and talk to others, and has absolutely no qualms about talking other people, even when she barely knows them. she's actually really easy to make friends with, because of this, and her friendly nature is what draws a lot of people in. because she's such an outspoken and friendly person, she's always been easy to approach, and because of it, she has a long list of friends all over her campus. watch her befriend every guest at her aunt's hotel, too.

      sejeong seems to live her life in the state of a constant sugar high, despite the fact that she doesn't actually have a large intake of sugar in her diet. she has a lot of energy, far more than she ever knows what to do with, and because of this, it can often take ages for her to tire herself out. even with all the sports and extracurricular activities she's involved in, she still always seems to have energy to spare by the end of the day, and is buzzing around like she's had too much caffeine until it's very late. her energetic nature also tends to come out in the way she talks because as well as being very chatty, there are times where she can talk extremely fast to the point where people might not understand her. her energy seems to intensify whenever she's excited, and it shows whenever she gets passionate about something, because she'll start talking a mile a minute while bouncing up and down on her toes. at a young age, her parents started signing her up for all the different sport clubs in the neighbourhood, hoping it would use up some of her energy, which is the sole reason that she's so sporty now. she used to do a million different sports – swimming, softball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, netball, you name it, she played it. however, now she tends to stick to the last three, so she still has time to do other things in her spare time. sejeong is also a very impulsive person, and has a habit of acting before thinking things through. she's not reckless, and doesn't normally attempt anything dangerous, she just tends to act before she can consider the consequences. she seems to have a lack of a brain to mouth filter, and can sometimes blurt out things that she shouldn't have said, and often ends up doing silly things that she ends up regretting a few hours late,r because she doesn't have enough impulse control – like downing more shots than she knows that she can handle, and trying to jump over the cracks in the pavement while drunk and with impaired balance. she doesn't mean to be so impulsive, and not think things through, but sometimes she can't help it. sometimes, things just slip out unintentionally.

      as an impulsive person, it's probably a good thing that sejeong can be pretty shameless too. since she's a bit impulsive, she's no stranger to a range of embarrassing incidents that spread widely across the spectrum. lucky for sejeong, she never really seems to dwell on these embarrassments, and often forgets about them entirely. she never, ever seems to get embarrassed about anything which is good for her, but not so much for the people around her who just witnessed her do whatever embarrassing thing it is this time. sejeong doesn't get embarrassed easily, but that doesn't stop any onlookers from being exposed to the second hand embarrassment from her latest stunt. on top of this, she doesn't seem to care about retelling it and sharing it to anyone. she has a habit of oversharing things, that goes hand in hand with her chattiness. most people strike up conversations about topics they have in common, but not sejeong. no, she's got a whole load of embarrassing stories to tell you, ranging from the old man she met in the elevator of her apartment building that morning to her embarrassing emo phase as a child to wild drunk escapades. there is just nothing predictable about her, and you best be ready to listen to whatever story she's about to tell, because she doesn't take too kindly to being ignored or brushed off. people probably know what more about her than they'd ever want to, but sejeong just doesn't care, because oversharing isn't a word in her dictionary. she's not very good at keeping secrets either, so it's probably best that you don't rely on her to keep her mouth shut. she's not very good at keeping her own secrets, let along anyone else's. she's also extremely childish, and despite being insanely independent, she can act like a child. she's very clingy, and demands attention, which while it might seem cute, is actually the reason she's been dumped so many times before. she doesn't mean to be so clingy, but she craves attention, and all she wants in a relationship is cuddles and affection. is that too much to ask for? apparently so, according to all her boyfriends.

      if you asked someone on the street who knew sejeong to describe her in one word, the word they'd use would no doubt be 'sweetheart'. because that's what she is. she's so sweet and kind to everyone and anyone that she meets, that people have even begun to call her honey because of it. she has a natural kind and warm nature that makes her extremely easy to talk to and approach, when she's not trying to talk you ear off. she's very polite and kind, because she's always been brought up with the belief that what goes around comes around. she treats other people the way she wants to be treated, which is why she's so undeniably kind to every – even the people that she's not fond of. just because she's a sweetheart doesn't mean that there aren't people that she can't stand. she just keeps any unnecessary mean comments to herself and continues on with her life without being mean about it. along with this, she's also fiercely protective over her friends and family. if you manage to get yourself on the unwritten list of people that she loves, she's got your back for life. and if someone tries to mess with you, she'll come up and show them just how terrifying she can really be. those who have seen her get angry on her friends' behalf tend to compare her to a mother bear, so it's safe to say that she's not someone you want to piss off. she's also a hopeless romantic, something that even sejeong will admit to. she's high key the type of person to get love sick, and honestly, she's watched too many dramas that now she wants a romance exactly like one from a well thought out movie. she's obsessed with finding 'the one', which apparently, wasn't any of her last five boyfriends. in a relationship, she just wants affection and attention, to the point where she can often come across as annoying without intending to – it was the reason she was dumped by all her past boyfriends – but she's never seen it as asking for much. she's not looking for a quick hook up or a one night stand, and honestly, she's not really looking for sex either, because she's far too immature to sleep with anyone (she's the type of person to still laugh at immature and childish dick jokes, let alone be able to actually look at one in real life).

      selfless is sejeong's middle name. that much is clear about her to anyone who's ever met her. she's not the type of person to put herself first, and she never really has been. instead, she prefers to put the entire world first, and will only think about herself as an after thought. which could be considered an admirable trait, but can also be incredibly frustrating and infuriating. it's one of the things about sejeong that makes her incredibly difficult to hate, because even in arguments, she's willing to put aside her own opinion and listen to what the other party has to say first. she's so selfless that she's the type to make sure every single other person around her is okay before she even begins to think about her own needs. she's also the type of person to go around and make sure that her friends are happy. she puts her friends and family on a pedestal above herself, and she'll see to it that they're all okay first. if she just failed an important test, she'll be there to make sure that her friends did okay, and if they didn't, she's volunteering to buy them all drinks. if the family pet just passed away, she's the one comforting her older sister, even if she herself is completely devastated. but despite all this, that doesn't mean that she's not fully capable of looking after herself. sejeong is actually a very independent person, and knows how to take care of herself, even if she looks insanely innocent and has a habit of putting her own needs at the very bottom of her list. she moved out of home into an apartment closer to her college shortly after she was accepted, and even though she lives alone, she's surprisingly not living off instant food, or scrambling around to pay rent. she's independent enough to be able to balance her classes, school work and part time job on top of each other, and earn enough money to pay for everything that she needs. but even she will admit that this holiday to her aunt's hotel is the long awaited break from everything that she needs.

      sejeong is a very bright person in all sense of the word. she has an ability to immediately brighten whatever room she walked into with her smile and her good looks, even if she's never been one to actually dwell on her appearance. she has a contagious smile, and an even more contagious laugh, and it isn't very difficult for her to turn the mood of a room completely upside down in the time that it would take to flip a switch. she's also very smart, or at least, a lot smarter than she looks. she's a psychology major, and she's very good at reading people, which is part of the reason she's so good at making friends, because she knows how to make people comfortable in her presence. her natural smarts put her just above average, but with extra studying she sits in the top ten of her classes. she doesn't like to cruise along and rely on natural smarts and memory alone. she's also very optimistic to the point where it's endearing, but also mildly concerning. because no matter how dark things seem, or how bad you think your day is going, seo sejeong can always find a bright side. always. so if you want to feel better about it, you should probably go and find her. just failed a paper? it's okay, you've still got time to make it up. accidentally broke the fridge in the apartment? now you can finally get a decent brand with a good energy saving rating. just got dumped by your boyfriend? well, at least her brought you a cute pair of shoes last week. positivity is sejeong's middle name. and maybe it's because she prefers to be a happy person, and doesn't want to brood over all the bad things that have happened in her life – including the now five ex-boyfriends she has under belt – but she's always looking on the bright side. she doesn't like to think about the negatives, hence her optimism. but there are times when even she can't find a bright side. it's times like those that she gets really anxious, and feels all of her negative emotions coming back up, and really needs her best friend to be there for her and let her cry things out on her shoulder. sejeong is an optimistic and friendly and selfless person, but she's only human.

    → happy would be the first word anyone would think of to describe jung hoseok, and to be completely honest, they're not wrong. he has a smile capable of lighting a room, and it's one that never seems to leave his lips, even after he broke up with his ex girlfriend. he's long since moved on from it, even if she hasn't (not that he'd know, because he hasn't really spoken to her since it happened), and he's continued on with his life since then. he doesn't like to dwell or live in the past, and he's a firm believer of what's done is done. it's probably the main reason why he makes sure that his life keeps moving forward, and doesn't like to think about the what if's or the could've been's. he has a bit of a partying life style, and it's no secret that he spends most of his weekends partying and drinking. he probably consumes an unhealthy amount of alcohol on a weekly basis, but he's also a happy drunk, so it might be part of the reason why he always seems to be happy. he doesn't like to dwell on the bad things, and he likes himself better when he's in a happy mood. he's usually a pretty happy and carefree person, but he's most certainly not someone you want to piss off. they're not wrong when they say that it's the happiest people you need to watch out for. his temper seems to be non existent, but don't let that fool you. if you continue to press his buttons and push him over the edge, you're going to wish that you never met him in the first place. people think that SEOKJIN is the scary one, but he's got nothing on an angry hoseok.

♡ | FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
    → HER FIRST IMPRESSION | at first, she didn't really see him any different from the others. she just knew she wanted to make friends with them (because she was fresh out of a relationship looking for a new boyfriend, and there were seven potential candidates in front of her), and seo sejeong is the queen of making friends with complete strangers.
    → HIS FIRST IMPRESSION | didn't really think much of her at first. he just thought she was cute, but he didn't really think they'd ever get close. he didn't even think they'd talk ever again, if she hadn't been so insistent on them being friends. he thought she was cute so her went along with it to humour her.

♡ | HOW THEY ACT AROUND EACH OTHER:
    → BEG | despite only being acquaintances, there's no time for awkwardness between them. they don't really know each other that well, other than maybe seeing each other around campus once or twice before (but sejeong can't really remember if it was him, since he always seemed to have different coloured hair). so to start with, they're not really close. but that's no issue if you're with seo sejeong, because she makes friends with everyone, whether they want to or not. so unfortunately for hoseok, he doesn’t have a choice in this matter. it doesn't take her long to befriend him, always going out of her way to go and talk to him whenever he enters a room and sharing bits about her life (including old stories from her past boyfriends). to be honest, he's a bit overwhelmed at first, because it's undeniable that sejeong can come off a bit strong, especially if she's determined to be your friend. she tends to be early chatty with all of them, but seems to have singled hoseok out, and he's not really sure what to make of that knowledge just yet. but overall, he thinks she's pretty harmless, and doesn't see any problems in becoming friends with her either, even if she tends to talk his ear off. she seems nice enough, and she doesn't try and scold him for his partying ways (something that he's had many girls trying and tell him after his breakup with his last girlfriend). besides, sejeong seems to be pretty cute, and getting to know her can't be too bad, right?

    → MID | well, despite being a relatively smart person, sejeong can be pretty dense. and this time, it's pretty bad. she's not too sure what to do when she finds out that he's actually the ex boyfriend of one of her friends, and that he was the one to end the relationship which was the sole reason why sejeong decided they all needed a break. above everything, sejeong values friendship, so she feels the need to completely back off them out of loyalty to her friend, and doesn't want to pursue him if she knows that LIKE THAT isn't completely over him. so she starts to back off him a bit, and while it's not completely obvious, since she still goes out of her way totally talk to him (because sejeong is a friendly person, and she likes to talk all with all her friends) she always seems to be a bit distracted, like her mind is somewhere elsewhere, and her eyes are always not trailing off. and he's started noticing it. he's figured that it probably has something to do with LIKE THAT, but it also kind of annoys him, because he's trying to move on, and he thinks that sejeong is actually a pretty cool person, and he wouldn't mind exploring a relationship with her — which is something big for him, because he's not into mindless hookups and he hasn't dated since LIKE THAT. just because he likes to party, doesn't mean he sleeps with everyone, because he always knows when to stop, and very rarely crosses that line. meanwhile, sejeong is the type of person who would try and distance herself (distance for sejeong Justin means less clinging, and talking slower, so it's not really distance at all), until she knows how LIKE THAT feels about the whole thing. only when she was assured that the other girl was completely would she actually pursue hoseok. sejeong values friendship above anything, and no matter how much she wants to find a boyfriend this summer, she's not going to lose a friend over it.

    → END | by this point, sejeong's pretty much befriended all of the boys, but it seems like she's closest with hoseok. he's her favourite, not that she'll ever admit it out loud, but she genuinely enjoys being around him, because he's always so happy, so they actually get along pretty well due to their similar personalities. both of them are capable of lighting up a room on their own, but when they're together, it's like the entire room has been lit up to the point where it's almost blinding, because that's how powerful their personalities are together. sejeong is still eager to try her hand a summer romance, though, but she doesn't want to go rushing into things this time. she's not too sure why, whether it's because she genuinely really likes him, or doesn't want to make the rest of their trip awkward if he doesn't feel the same way, or maybe she,s just scared of another relationship crumbling to pieces like the last five. so she tries to be subtle. or at least, as subtle as someone like seo sejeong can be, which in realtity isn't subtle at all. she flirts with him a lot, most of which can be taken pretty innocently. what she lacks in subtlety she makes up for in her talent for flirting, because she's actually not that bad at it. however, hoseok picks up on her change in actions towards him, and he's not oblivious enough to miss her (obvious) flirting, so he flirts back, which only ever seems to make her flustered. he's not too sure why, but he thinks it's cute, and has picked up a habit of kissing her cheek and patting her head. it's quite obvious that there is something going on between the two of them, because there is no way that there elation ship is strictly platonic, not when the others can swear they've seen them kiss before, and they're basically bordering dating. but neither of them will admit. sejeong's too scared to even think about admitting it to herself, and maybe she thinks that if they don't put a label on it, it’s won't hurt as much if it all goes down the drain. so sure, sejeong is scared, but given her past relationships, she thinks she has a right to be.

    → she's not really the type to go on dates often, she's more the type of person to just go out with a group of people and make new friends. she's the type of person who wants to be friends with someone before she starts dating them, which makes sense to her, because if she wants to form an emotional bond, then she wants to get to know the real them. if she was in it just for a quick fuck then things would be completely different. but she just likes to go out and meet new people, and try and pursue a relationship from there. it worked the past five times, even if all of them didn't alst more than a couple of months and all ended in a disaster.

♡ | HOW DOES SHE TRY TO MEND HER BROKEN HEART?
    → by meeting new people. coming to the hotel was sejeong's idea in the first place, after her aunt had suggested she bring some of her friends to the hotel during their break for a nice relaxing getaway, so it was sejeong who convinced all the other girls to come along. and staying at the hotel means a new environment, and new people to meet. so now she has load of new people to meet, so she can look for another boyfriend, and maybe this time, she'll find 'the one'. she wants to find a new boyfriend by the end of the summer, because she craves affection, so her way of mending her broken heart is to forget all about it and move onto someone else.

♡ | WHAT DOES SHE LOOK FOR IN A PARTNER?
    → to be completely honest, she's not exactly the most picky of people. she just wants someone that makes her happy. but she also craves attention, and she wants to be doted on, and to find someone who's willing to put in as much effort to their relationship as she will. she just wants cuddles and an emotional bond, she's not in it for the sex or anything, and she's quite honest with herself about that. but her clinginess clearly tends to turn people away, so she guesses that she's looking for someone who will tolerate her clingy nature and just make her feel loved.
