Sweat And Hugs

Alexithymiaa: -Adam jogged through the park, Lady's leash in his hand with the dog running a few feet ahead of him. He took short shallow breaths as he ran, his skin coated in a slick layer of sweat as he made his way through the park, heading down to run along the river.-
Tsaaq: "I don't know..." She sighed, staring at her phone screen, headphones in. She'd been face timing with cousin Eugene while seated on a bench. "I want to come home for a little bit this summer but I might not want to come back here." Hayley said quietly staring at the screen then turning her head, seeing Adam and Lady approaching. "True that, Jersey sucked too... Hey I'll call you back. Bye Genie." She pulled out her headphone and waved at him lazily.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam turned his head to see Hayley waving at him, picking up his speed to run over to her, stopping beside the bench and breathing heavily. "Hey! What are... you doing?"-
Tsaaq: Hayley put her phone in her short's pocket and turned to face him.  "Nothing just um..." She pursed her lips as she looked Adam over then glanced at the doggie. "I was just hanging out here and stuff. Y'know." Hayley said casually.
Alexithymiaa: -He nodded and dropped Lady's leash so she could go over to Hayley, pushing her puppy face into her legs for attention and pets. "It's a really nice night to sit out here. And the park is so pretty at night."-
Tsaaq: She leaned forward and started to pet the puppy with a smile. "Yeah, I just needed alone time I guess... It's dark though. I was about to leave. You never know who's out here and shit." Hayley sighed, looking around nervously but still rubbing her hands all over Lady.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, I don't think it's a very good idea for you to be here alone at night. Or here alone regardless, actually. It's a good thing Lady is here, huh?" He smiled and moved to sit down on the bench beside her, leaning his torso forward to pet the dog.-
Tsaaq: "Something tells me Lady isn't very vicious to anybody." Hayley laughed, taking her hands from the puppy and putting them in her lap awkwardly as she looked over at Adam. "You're sweaty." She said, sticking her tongue out.
Alexithymiaa: "I was kidding. She knows better. Mostly." He laughed, leaning backward and looking at Hayley. "I was running. That'[s what happens when people run and exercise. They get sweaty." He stuck his tongue out in return to her before dipping to pick up Lady's leash from the ground.-
Tsaaq: "She's too sweet." Hayley grinned. She resisted the urge to laugh. Hayley sucked her teeth and pretended to look disgusted. "Well... It's gross. Sweet is gross." She said, imitating a valley girl accent, lisp included. "Just kidding. Ever since summer started I don't run. I don't know..." She shrugged.
Alexithymiaa: -He laughed at her mocking accent and tipped his head to the side. "Well you're always welcome to come with me. I run pretty much everyday. And now Lady comes with me. You could hold her leash while we run if you want."-
Tsaaq: Hayley held her gaze on him a moment then looked away."I mean, I'd love to. I don't want to get fat or anything." Hayley sighed. "Are you sure you could handle me in like, short shorts and a sports bra or whatever?" She asked, lowering her head.
Alexithymiaa: -His smile slipped off his face, his eyes lowering from hers to his lap, his voice shrinking. "Yeah... I'll be fine."-
Tsaaq: "Sorry. I'm sorry." She pushed up from the bench and waved her hands around a little. "I should've just shut up and agreed or something." Hayley sighed. "I'll leave you alone."
Alexithymiaa: "No, it's okay. You have every right to confirm your safety after recent events." He pushed up from the bench, his eyes watching her. "I should continue running anyway. And I need to call my moms. They've been so upset all day."-
Tsaaq: She still have a face full of regret. "Yeah I read the news about all the people acting crazy. It's sad." Hayley crossed her arms over her chest and turned to Adam. "Well wait-" She said with a bit of remorse. "Is it okay if I wait for you so we can leave together? Not that I'm scared or anything." Hayley asked awkwardly.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah...." His mood dropped noticibly, dwelling on the news of this morning. "It's really sad." He kicked one foot back to kick his butt, shifting feet and kicking the other. "Yeah, of course. I don't want you to be alone."-
Tsaaq: "And it's supposed to be gay pride month. What is wrong with people?" Hayley shook her head and little. "Do you want a hug?" She asked him quietly with her arms WIDE OPEN.
Alexithymiaa: "People are..." He trailed off, shaking his head. "Yeah.... a hug would be really nice." He took a step toward her, also holding his arms wide open because he wanted her to come to him because things.-
Tsaaq: Hayley watched him a moment with sad eyes before stepping forward as well and going to wrap her arms around him and give him a tight hug. "People are awful, I know..." She muttered.
Alexithymiaa: -He closed his arms around her, holding onto her back and leaning his head down to rest his cheek on top of her head. "I know. It just makes no sense to me. Why does anyone care about people who don't have anything to do with them?"-
Tsaaq: She inhaled him even though he was sweaty, she actually loves the smell. "I don't know. The world is a scary and horrible place sometimes. A lot of the time." Hayley answered but that wasn't really a answer.
Alexithymiaa: -He nodded his head against her, reluctant to let go of her because it made him feel better, but he didnt want to be weird. He released her and took a step back, his eyes dropping to her face. "You should have heard Gabe earlier.... he's livid."-
Tsaaq: Hayley bit her lip as she stepped back and went back to her arms being crossed. "I bet he was. I was upset seeing it too. I can only imagine you guys." She shook her head. "And it's just terrifying in general."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah. And before we only really heard of these things happening in really concentrated places. Like in New York and California and DC. I never would have thought Florida.... what's next?" His face was pained, sweeping his hand up to push back through his messy hair.-
Tsaaq: "I don't know. Hopefully your moms are safe though, along with everybody else." Hayley said with a nod, going to pat his shoulder. "Is there anything I can do?" She asked hi.
Tsaaq: him*))
Alexithymiaa: "No, it's okay." He forced a smile, turning to look across the park. "Are you ready to head back to the house?"-
Tsaaq: She nodded her head slowly. "Okay." Hayley said quietly then nodded again. "Yeah, let's do that." She answered, walking towards the park parking lot.
Alexithymiaa: -He walked alongside her, holding Lady's leash as they walked to the parking lot. "Do you have Bliss' car?"-
Tsaaq: "Yeah but it's so dirty, please don't tell her. I try to keep it clean but I'm really bad at it." Hayley said, opening up the driver's side door and a bunch of shit just falling out of the vehicle. "I need to clean this." She sighed.
Alexithymiaa: "I'll help you tomorrow." He smiled at her, resisting the urge to go in for another hug and just taking a step back instead. "I'll meet you at home, okay?"-
Tsaaq: Hayley let out a high pitched sigh. "Thanks, good. I'll see you at home." Hayley gave him a wave as she got inside the prius and began to drive away.
Alexithymiaa: -He waved to her, watching her pull away before turning to jog back through the park with Lady to meet her at the house.-
