  1. > Joe legal works in construction, has a Social Security number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.
  2. > Jose illegal also works in construction has no Social Security number and makes $15.00 per hour cash, under the table.
  3.
  4. First of all, the pay gap would be a lot wider in real life. Jose might make $75 for the day.
  5.
  6. > Ready?... now pay attention....
  7. > Joe legal: $25.00 per hour × 40 hours = $1,000.00 per week or $52,000.00 per year. Now, take 31% away for State and Federal taxes. Joe legal now has $31,231.00.
  8. > Jose illegal: $15.00 an hour × 40 hours = $600.00 per week or $31,200.00 per year. Jose illegal pays no taxes. Jose illegal now has $31,200.00.
  9.
  10. 31% is absurd. If Joe only took the standard deduction federal taxes are about 10.2% - tack on a few more percent for the state and you're still less than 15%.
  11.
  12. Also, Joe gets 2 paid weeks off a year.
  13.
  14. > Joe legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Joe legal now has $24,031.00.
  15. > Jose illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the State and local clinics and emergency hospitals at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose illegal still has $31,200.00.
  16.
  17. So joe gets pretty good medical coverage.
  18. Jose gets shit coverage. Those 'free' clinics are mostly emergency care only and they do charge for services. He doesn't get dental.
  19.
  20. If it was such a good deal, Joe could choose not to get coverage and do the same as Jose. But he doesn't, since it's not a good deal.
  21.
  22. > Joe legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe legal spends $500.00 per month for food or $6,000.00 per year. Joe legal now has $18,031.00.
  23. > Jose illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps, WIC and welfare. Jose illegal still has $31,200.00.
  24.
  25. Jose isn't a woman or infant, so he doesn't get WIC. Jose is an undocumented immigrant, so he doesn't get SNAP or TANF.
  26.
  27. If he did somehow get all of that, he'd still be worse-off than Joe's $500/month
  28.
  29. > Joe legal pays rent of 1,200.00 per month or $14,400.00 per year. Joe legal now has $9,631.00.
  30. > Jose illegal receives $500.00 per month Federal rent subsidy. Jose illegal pays out that $500.00 per month or $6,000.00 per year. Jose illegal still has $31,200.00.
  31.
  32. Joe is living somewhere twice as nice as Jose (otherwise, why pay more than twice as much?)
  33. Jose is an undocumented immigrant, so he doesn't get housing assistance.
  34.
  35. Also, they both pay rent to a landlord, which pays property taxes on that property, which supports local services.
  36.
  37. > Joe legal pays $200.00 per month or $2,400.00 per year for car insurance. Some of that is uninsured motorist insurance. Joe legal now has $7,231.00.
  38. > Jose illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance."... and still has $31,000.00.
  39.
  40. Who pays $2400/year for car insurance? Mine is ~$900 for a nice Audi. Joe needs to call geico or something.
  41.
  42. > Joe legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline.. etc.
  43. > Jose illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline and what he sends out of the country every month....
  44.
  45. So we see those numbers are bogus...
  46.
  47. > Joe legal's and Jose illegal's children both attend the same elementary school.
  48.
  49. For which they're both contributing property and sales taxes to.
  50.
  51. > Joe legal pays for his children's lunches while...
  52. > Jose illegal's children get a government-sponsored lunch.
  53.
  54. More likely, they both pay for lunches. Jose isn't interested in attracting attention of government authorities. In fact, most undocumented immigrants stay as far away from any government program as they can.
  55.
  56. > Jose illegal's children have an after school ESL program.
  57.
  58. Wait, do you want immigrants speaking english or not?
  59.
  60. > Now, when they reach college age...
  61. > Joe legal's kids may not get into a State school and may not qualify for scholarships, grants or other tuition help, even though Joe has been paying for State schools through his taxes, while...
  62. > Jose illegal's kids go to the, 'head of the class' because they are a minority.
  63.
  64. If Joe's kids can't get into a state school, they should have studied a bit harder. It's not like they're hard to get into. They also probably get tuition help like 84% of all students do.
  65.
  66. Affirmative action in US universities is quickly dying. By the time these kids are of that age I doubt it exists.
  67.
  68. > Joe legal and Jose illegal both benefit from the same police and fire services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not.
  69.
  70. Except both paid for them via property taxes.
  71.
  72. > Do you get it, now?
  73. > If we vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens,... we are part of the problem.
  74. > Its way PAST time to take a stand for America and Americans!
  75. > We need to keep this going -- we need to make changes ASAP!
  76. > What are you waiting for?...Pass it on!
  77.
  78. Now let's look at the company... Average employee overhead between benefits and taxes is around 25% With that in mind,
  79. they just saved around $30,000 by hiring Jose illegally.
  80.
  81. Who is really benefiting here?
