  1. AURORA COMMUNITY TUTELAGE ACT (ACTA)
  2. ---
  3. Created by VaultDweller, it is hence his intellectual copyright. Do not copy without permission.
  4. ---
  5.
  6. Pre-act statement:
  7.
  8. The usage of the Aurora network is a privilage, not a right. Opers have the right to remove you for any reason,
  9. as long as that reason is within a understandable means. The right to be an oper is also a privilage, not a right.
  10. O:lines can be removed by a Root Admin of the network, if required.
  11.
  12. ---
  13. ACTA is an act to protect Abandonet from dictators and invaders, of course.
  14. We as a network must protect ourselves, from any attackers, regardless of their stance in the community.
  15. Under this act the following may occur:
  16.
  17. 1. Any staff member accused of attacking the network, may be stripped of power temporarily, and put on trial. This can only occur if the person is presented with enough proof of their attacks.
  18. 1a. Proof of an attack is not logs, but actual proof that it was the person connecting from their actual IP, and not a proxy IP.
  19. 1b. CloneSXSing, and DDoSing is considered proof of an attack, if the person can prove of a persons intent on doing so.
  20.
  21. 2. Any staff member in a conspiracy, such as WinTalk, is subject to an immediate o:line strip, and automatic ban. No exceptions.
  22. 3. Staff members are expected to be model members of the community, and if they aren't, they will be evaluated by a panel of staff members.
  23.
  24. 4. ACTA will enforce the rules, with most offenses being a killable offense, if in excess.
  25.
  26. 5. If a staff member or a regular member breaks a rule, depending on the level of infracture, it may be a killable offense. The complete finalization of rules under ACTA may be variant on the panel associated.
  27.
  28. 6. Abuse of oper power is a possible strip of power, as decreed by OBattler and VaultDweller and Skynet., if stripped of power, a staff-wide review of the said abusers history as an oper. If voted to be stripped, that person is stripped. Completely, and permanently.
  29.
  30. 7. Any threats against a persons life, or well being, is considered harrassment, and the person will be stripped of any power network-wide, and placed on trial to determine if they will remain a member of this network or not.
  31.
  32. 8. In times of trouble, Aurora is expected to remain together. With this, during a time of war, Aurora secession is forbidden under the rules, and can result in an expulsion from any Aurora staff level.
  33.
  34. 9. Racism, Sexism, or Ageism is strictly forbidden, under a Fair Rights laws in the United States of America, European Union, and the State of Japan.
  35.
  36. 10. If this act is passed, staff members will be reviewed for mental stability, and if a staff member is deemed unable to mentally withstand the requirements of an admin of a network, they will be demoted temporarily, or even permanently to a lower position, until they are deemed capable of mental stability. Mental stability is defined as capability to withstand flaming or accusations, and not be tempted to kill his or herself. In this case, mental stability can not be tested unless in times of war, which mental stability is mostly tested by a certain party.
  37.
  38. 10a. Going on an extreme rampage, and calling people very harsh names, and going on a non-stop caps rage, can be grounds for evaluation.
  39.
  40. 11. Piracy kicks fucking ass.
  41.
  42. 12. Sexual talk is allowed, but botsex must be committed in a private room, under regulation.
  43.
  44. 13. All staff members are to be treated as equal people, regardless of staff level, unless required by an attack, or coup against the current owner. Do not take this out of context. This MEANS that they are treated equally in disciplinary actions only. This does not apply directly to rank.
  45.
  46. 14. Excessive kicking for no reason is frowned upon, and may be grounds for removal of an access level, depending on the nature and severity of your infraction.
  47.
  48. 15. Trashing of other networks is frowned upon, and can be grounds for a kill or a kick, depending on the severity of said flame. Due to the fragile nature of ABN-Defi relations, trashing Defiance is frowned upon, but not banned. If you flame Defiance, you will most likely be reprimanded by an admin.
  49.
  50. 16. In the event of a coup, Abandonet becomes a semi-police state, until said coup is over. If the police state is abused into becoming a permanent feature of the network, then a coup is definitely allowed, and will be regulated by somebody. This does NOT apply, in the case of a coup ending, and the police state being lifted. Police states can only be instituted in a major coup, not a minor.
  51.
  52. 17a. Major coups are if a high-ranking official attempts to overthrow a member of the Aurora staff.
  53. 17b. Minor coups are when lower-leveled members attempt to overthrow a person. If a high-ranking official joins the side against the administration, then it is elevated to major coup.
  54.
  55. 18. This is a given, but I must mention it. CloneSXS, DDoS (LOIC, or any other DDoS tool) can not be distributed across Aurora. If you are caught doing so, you will be permanently glined.
  56.
  57. 19. Certain modules which violate a persons privacy, are strictly forbidden. Installing such a module, is grounds for a permanent jupe. Period.
  58.
  59. 20. Do not post parts of logs that may be considered fake, or fraudulent. It may be taken out of context. So please try to avoid posting controversial or miscontexted logs, personal message logs should not be leaked, unless both parties agree. Not applicable to notices, other channel discussions.
  60. 20a. Please do not leak logs to other networks.
  61. 20b. Do not reveal a person's IP, due to privacy reasons, and they may not want it leaked.
  62.
  63. 21. Shotcon and Lolicon is authorized, but may not be publicily distributed, due to possible offense against Americans. Japanese culture is fully allowed, as are every other culture known.
  64.
  65. 22. According to current rules, discussion of controversial matters is not allowed, including discussion of controversial girlfriends. This can only be nulled, when there are no members of a particular group in the channel, or monitoring the channel.
  66.
  67. 23. Monitoring a private channel with logs is strictly forbidden, under the rules of ACTA, and is punishable by a kill, or even gline, or qline.
  68.
  69. 24. Reporting high-ranking celebrities to their corporations or businesses (eg. idols) is strictly forbidden, and can be considered harrassment and bullying, which is a bad offense.
  70.
  71. 25. When put on trial, resisting your trial can be considered resisting justice, and can also be grounds for an temporary akill, or temporary gline, or kline.
  72.
  73. 26. Ei-chan is now exempt from direct voting, and may vote via OBattler. No other person is entitled to this, unless defined by OBattler, VD and Skynet.
  74. 26a. Ai-chan is also exempt, and may vote via Patrick. For proof of voting, Patrick must provide detailed screenshots of the logs and actual chat window to show Ai-chan's actual vote, or Ai-chan can vote via OBattler or Ei-chan's MSN. She is also on the same level as Patrick.
  75.
  76. 27. There is now a maximum of 4 clones and 4 bots per IP. That is a maximum of 9 users (adding the one non-clone).
  77.
  78. 28. You may not discriminate against a globally disputed nation (Israel, South Korea and Taiwan in specific), by calling them "illegal occupations" or "provinces of another nation", etc. etc. It is considered flaming and discrimination. Any persons caught doing so, will be killed.
  79.
  80. 29. All people's privacy must be respected, and asserted as important. Any persons caught using IP trackers on a public link, will be prosecuted, unless you inform the people before hand, but even then, you must ensure you are not violating a person's privacy in ways violating ACTA. Do not track a person's IP, or personal info relating to your PC. This is considered spying, and harrassment.
  81.
  82. 30. SVSKill is now forbidden, due to prior abuse on the day of 13 October 2010. The punishment of SVSKilling is a kill, and temporary strip of powers relating to such.
