typically a rich girl her age would dress neatly, laugh moderately and have a desirable handwriting. meanwhile, kihwa isn't, she is basically the opposite. kihwa dresses weirdly yet expensively, laughs like a dying donkey and has messy handwriting that could be easily mistaken for spaghetti. she never asks the appropriate question, always the unnecessary and weird ones. although she's seventeen/eighteen she acts like a seven/eight year old, always playing around.

although kihwa knows that she can die from the disease, she's trying to act as if she doesn't suffer from the disease. she doesn't want anyone to know that she has the hanahaki disease because she worries that others might grow too much attention on something negative. kihwa would usually talk about jokes or anything that isn't a sad topic. she may act happy, cheerful and positive to the public but the pain from the disease is unbearable. as soon as she goes into a private place, she shows an unhappy and vulnerable side of her. as long as no one asks about the disease, no one would have to know unless she feels like telling someone.

kihwa was unexpectedly born in paris of the wonderful country, france. after her birth, her parents decided to make her study at paris instead of going back to seoul. the advantages of studying in paris was the ability to learn more than one language. kihwa's parents were real rich, they had a mansion full of maids, expensive clothes to spoil their child but a humble smile that runs down the family. when she was five, she met her older sister, kihee.

	❛ nasty , who coughs up flower petals? ❜ ☆ CHILDHOOD [ 6 - 11 YEARS ].
during her childhood, she moved back to s. korea because her sister had difficulty with communication since she was only able to speak korean. kihwa's father was planning to build a hospital, and since that plan may invest in millions of dollars, he sent his daughters to a public school. when she was ten that was when she first experienced the disease after falling in love, but only to see her crush in love with her sister. kihwa was very scared, she knew it was abnormal to have flower petals viciously force it's way out of her mouth because she couldn't breathe.

on top of that, their parents weren't getting so well with each other. her mother was against the idea of having a hospital, she thought it was useless and a big waste of money. her husband is a very persistent man and wanted to build the hospital; which resulted the couple to argue and occasionally, physically fight. after a year, they divorced and the two girls lived with their mother. instead of living a single life, she married another man who fell in love with her money.

her mother naturally ignored her elder daughters and had a baby boy which she fed him with attention. sometimes, her mother would actually forget the fact that she lives with the two. only kihwa's sister knew that she had the hanahaki disease and was allergic to flowers. that all changed when she had a new neighbour, her neighbour was a cheerful kid like kihwa. he looked out his window and saw that his neighbour also had their curtains open. kihwa's neighbour was going to shout out a gleeful "hello", but instead only saw her choking out bloody flower petals.

kihwa fell in love with park jihoon, the guy who has every girl falling for him. he was one grade above kihwa and he was always around pretty girls, she knew she had no chance whatsoever. whenever kihwa sees jihoon, it's like as if time has slowed down and her heart has this warm cheesy feel to it. at first, she didn't cough out anything, she was just choking. how did she know she suffers from the disease? she figured out she has the hanahaki disease after seeing her sister come home with jihoon. kihwa understands why, kihee is like an absolute angel, she's nice, smart, funny and pretty- who wouldn't like her? when the kihee came home, jihoon had literal hearts in his eyes, kihwa thought it was cute that a boy has fallen in love and has the courage to escort her home. however, her lungs say otherwise, she quickly ran to the washroom, choking and coughing out disgusting flower petals. unfortunately, since she's allergic, the area around her mouth slightly blistered.

kihwa fell in love with the cutest boy in her class, lee jeno. he was basically her ideal type, he was a gentlemen who looked like he would enjoy his special someone's company. she didn't experience the pain at first since jeno, himself also liked the lass. suddenly, she started choking one day when she arrived home. jeno was going to confess to the hairy egg/kiwi aka kihwa, since he didn't know where she lived, he asked her sister, who was a year above him. when he was inside the house, he was admiring how pretty and adorable the older girl was when they were playing kihwa's video games. jeno fell in love, kihwa choKED when she was walking up the stairs to the door of her home. she coughed onto her mother's flower garden, in a way it blends in, but also doesn't. then casually walks in to the sight of the couple with a blistered mouth.

only her sister and her neighbour knows, no one else knows, not even her close school mates. before, when she first coughed out the flowers, she took medications. however, the medications didn't quite help so she gave up on medications. now she would talk to neighbour about it, as it would be too awkward to talk about it with her sister. a weird method was practising a confession with her neighbour. the thought of that came from the thought that perhaps she should confess, get rejected then hopefully stop liking jeno/jihoon. however, it didn't work because she felt too shy to confess to the dude who loves her sister.

jihoon is someone who's easily angered, when offended. he's not only angry because he's offended, he may get mad at times if his friends feel offended. when he feels offended, he may get slightly violent/protective bUT YOU DO YOU BOO. jihoon pretty straight forward, he gets right to the point, as most would describe him as blunt. although he's hot-headed and straight forward, he's a sweet guy. jihoon isn't necessarily a generous person but more of a delightful kid. he is very friendly and no one holds a grudge against him. he's also easily embarrassed, and when he does something cheesy, he cringes at himself. jihoon isn't much of a blabber mouth, he's quite awkward with strangers or people he's not very close to, but is talkative around his friends.

jihoon was born in masan of south korea. he was born into a family containing a loving mother, a humorous father and a playful older brother. at a young age, he was encouraged to be an actor, and so he became one. he has appeared on 4 broadcasts, 1 musical, 1 CF and 1 movie. however now, he doesn't do acting anymore since his grades are dropping. jihoon taught himself how to pop and beat box after seeing a street performer do so. jeno was born in incheon, south korea. his family consists of a delightful mother, chill father and smart older sister. during his childhood, he too, has been in front of the camera. however, he stopped doing both since he wasn't getting any offers. currently, he resides in seoul and attends school like any other kid.

it was like love at first sight, except it wasn't exactly love. at first, kihwa thought he was a total weirdo, so she catches herself glancing at the boy. slowly, they were brought closer to one another by assignments and arrangements. sooner or later, she fell for how cute he look and how eccentric he acts. as mentioned earlier, he's basically kihwa's ideal type. he's reserved, absolutely a gentlemen and has the cutest smile.

it was a natural process, he just woke up one day, opened the curtains, saw kihwa and wanted to hug her. this was when, she was still all about jihoon/jeno; he felt angered toward the older boy because he didn't see what he saw in kihwa. jinyoung/jaemin thought she was very cute and just simply loved it whenever they talk or whenever he sees her. that wasn't why he fell in love with her though, the literal reason was love at first sight. when he first saw kihwa in her vulnerable state, he wanted to hug her and protect the lass from all the evil in the world. he enjoyed her company, her mellifluous voice and her unique personality. i would've been lying if i said he wasn't jealous when kihwa would go blabbering about jihoon/jinyoung.
