  1. Here's a QRD of how corporate hierarchies function.
  2.
  3. It's typically split into three levels of management: low, mid, and upper. Low level handles and day to day operations of the corporation, mid level handles regional operations, and upper level are the administrators. Low level are the staff that interact with the talents, get perms, help with tech issues and stuff, and they have a lot of flexibility but are always stressed and busy. Mid level are execs in charge of the branches that are the go between for low level and upper level, although it's more akin to giving low level objectives mandated from up top. Upper level are your CEO, CFO, etc., basically executives and heads of departments and they ultimately answer to the shareholders, whether private or public.
  4.
  5. All of that is to say that mid level branch managers have no clue about the day to day operations of the talents and only know the info fed to them by the talent managers. They could try to get in contact with the talents individually or as a group but even then they're only getting a general sense of things, assuming they reach out to the talents at all. At upper level they're completely detached from what low level deals with.
  6.
  7. Despite their power, upper management tries to never touch the day to day stuff. Good ones do this because they trust the hiring managers they chose, trust lower levels to do their job, and trust mid level to report any problems before things spiral out of control. The bad ones are just on an ego trip, they don't want to know what's going on at lower levels and actively harass or fire people that report things are on fire. As you may have guessed, Yagoo is the former while Riku is the latter.
  8.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if the 80/20 rule applies even for the talents. There's 34 active chuubas in NiiiEN, and 20% of that is 7 members who do 80% of the work, and of the 7 in that 20% just 2 are doing 80% of that work load, which means 2 talents are carrying 64% of the entire branch. And yeah, you can guess who those 2 are and Riku has no clue about any of that because that's the job of the branch manager to know, but the branch manager is also doing the low level management work. Once the amount of the 20% workers that carry 50% of of the workload leave the corpo enters a death spiral because it's not that the remaining workers can just work harder and do better, they literally can't do more than they are because that is the limit of their abilities or else they would've been in the 20%.
  10.
  11. The 50% mark is because that's the tipping point of when the workload outpaces the work output and catching up becomes impossible. The only way to adjust is to take on less work, which means losing market share until they can keep up. It's a death spiral because people start leaving one after the other until the only ones left are the true believers of the corpo that can only produce the minimum output, basically your standard bootlickers. At current standings, if NijiEN loses 3 of the top 20% talents the branch will enter a death spiral and implode. Pomu is leaving, that's one. Selen is unknown, that's two. Who could be the third? Probably Rosemi or Petra or Elira. If that happens it's game over for the branch.
