  1. TEXTBOOK READINGS FOR PSYC 302 (Monday) and 315 (Tuesday)

  3. Read from the section on "Understanding Why, Where, When and How Many," until end of chapter (5th Edition: pages 306-321; 6th Edition: pages 252-267)
  4. Most of this reading is NOT covered in the lecture content, other than some aspects of numerical understanding. This reading takes many of the ideas we'll have discussed in lecture content and then extends to infants' understanding of space, time, causality, etc. You'll want to be able to summarize the main developments in understanding within each of these domains.

  7. Read sections on Piaget's theory and Core Knowledge theory (what is included in the attached file) --> you can just skim the sections on Piaget's Concrete Operations and Formal Operations Stages (ie, you'll want to have a very general idea of these stages, but no need to know specifics as they aren't relevant to infancy!)
  8. Most of the important aspects of this reading overlap with lecture content-- though the reading goes into further depth on some things. There are additionally a few areas of the reading that we don't cover in the lecture videos that you'll still want to know! These include:
