Staff PM (Bwoink)
Check and create notes (a system for noting down incidents)
Check and create warnings
Temporarily server and job ban (not permabans)
Wind players (admin-freeze them)
Defuse welder bombs by clicking them while ghosted
Adminghosting, which lets you ghost around as if you were dead, but jump back to your body afterwards
You can also View Variables to view variables, but not edit them.

As this is a sign of a fresh account with little customization beyond aesthetics and name (as evidenced by their default age), I would look and see if they have any logs created before I address them about their improper name. Oh, and I'd jump to them to make sure they're not throwing toolboxes just yet.

I suspect this to be either ckey ban avoidance somehow able to pass our system or a general run of the mill troll. As I've attempted twice to contact them after their sporadic behavior and clear no-intent to roleplay, I show them the door. I see if any higher staff are online. If there are, I'd like to report the situation and request a more permenant ban that needs appealing, if not, I take the logs of the round, ckey, and incident before applying a temporary ban that I would later address with staff.

They're still actively shooting eachother. The CT is winning the fight, and one merc is dead while the other is in crit. The remaining 3 are fighting.

I calmly ask the offending user about their previous notes on powergaming and validhunting, and also inform them they have broken the rule oncemore.

Seeing that we keep giving this user multiple chances, as they have a note, a warning, and a RECENT ban for validhunting and powergaming, I show no mercy. The temporary hammer strikes as I follow up with staff regarding the incident.
I contact the mercenary informing them that the player was powergaming.
Are there any staff besides the moderator that I can contact to help minimize the issue that this player caused?

But generally we do not hand out rejuvs unless it is blatant grief.

Right. via looc I inform the mercenaries that we are grateful for their report and waiting for the incident to be resolved, and that sadly there is not much we can do for their injuries or casualty.
Since they are winded, I ask the admin to remove them via cryo or other means after they have left the area.

Well, firstly- since no one else is around I sure am not gonna "dibs". I jump to the changling to observe them. I reply to Richard stating that I am looking into the incident.

You go talk to the changeling, and they say that they've been chasing randomer482 for the past 20 minutes. They also say that they tried talking to them just a minute ago, then randomer482, who is an engineer, pulled out a bootknife, yelled "I know who you are!" and attacked the changeling.

Alright, I'd like to look a bit more into the observation logs that I've watched scroll by earlier. Was that the only major interaction they had? Were they talking any time before? Have people been suspicious of changling?

You notice the first attack log between the engineer and the changeling:
randomer482 has attacked changeling with boot knife

After that it's just the ling hitting randomer482 with an armblade until they die.

It seems like it was the only major interaction they had beyond the ling stalking randomer482. This was the changeling's second kill, but nobody knew of lings yet.

Alright. Not new enough to not know the rules. I speak with randomer informing them that their character would not be able to make a valid accusation and attack based on the incident. I request that they review the rules for what is required for valid interactions, as well as using meta knowledge such as how the round may contain threats. I put down a note that I gave them a verbal warning on not properly escalating conflict.
Do they react at all after I inform them of the rules? I would hold off on adding notes until I get a reaction.

The scenario changes because you altered who was chasing who from the edit

Yeah, hold on, let me make it clearer.

Randomer482 was an engineer, who was being chased for the past 20 minutes by the ling. He ahelps saying that the ling ganked him. You go ask the ling and they say that they've been chasing randomer482 for the past 20 minutes. They also say that they tried talking to them just a minute ago, then randomer482, who is an engineer, pulled out a bootknife, yelled "I know who you are!" and attacked the changeling. You ask the changeling how randomer482 knew that they were a changeling, he replies that 'He didn't know that I was a changeling, just that I was a murderer who was stalking him'.

Randomer482 is a clean slate account, who's been playing for a few weeks.
