  1. <<DM'S SIDEBAR>>
  2. If a player character belongs to the Morphic Web, you have a great opportunity to use prophetic dreams. Rather than having an NPC approah the group with a problem or news, the member has a dream that relates. Dreams can be more flavorful, by being less tied to reality and reason, and can also convey information you think no NPC should 'realistically' have.
  3.
  4. Dreams can also be used to provide forshadowing. A PC might have a dream about an overwhelming feeling of being freed, and a rush of power that accompanies it. And then a day later, the PCs hear stories about farms that have been overrun and mutilated. The details of the dream could let the party suspect a demon instead of a wolf, and allow you to set the stage more easily.
  5.
  6. However said, you should take care to not overuse these dreams, both to avoid lessening their impact and to keep the member of the Morphic Web from overshadowing the other characters.<<SIDEBAR>>
