  1. Is it somewhat risky to rank more than one site for the same kW?
  2. I have a personal website that ranks good for many words. Some kw, those that interest me most, have position 1-2. Other 7-8. Mainly first page however.

  14. Is it a good idea to build a new specific site for these kwords with new content and trying to rank it good? My goals are 2:
  15. -Appear on the first page with multiple sites...but it's always me
  16. -Set up (2) different layout sites, different communication, etc... so that if a customer does not like the first site he lands, I can always gain it with the second one.

  22. Don't use the same hosting (AKA same IP address) or mask the second site with cloudflare.
  23. Make the 2nd site different to the first one.
  24. If you don't leave any kind of footprint it is ok.
  25. If you have time and budget to invest on this, surely it can be done. But it depends a lot on your niche, it is not that fruitful in every niche. If you do a proper Branding and marketing, then there will no need of creating another brand/website, you can always take example of Moz.

  30. Actually, people are using this strategy for a long time. Try to rank multiple sites for the same keywords. No risk, just make sure there is no footprints.

  40. Just go with a different server ip and a different webmasters account. That'd make it an independent website in the eyes of Google.

  47. Guys, now that I have more time, let me explain better.
  48. I manage different sites and I get good rank with them. Since they are VERY DIFFERENT niche sites so far I ALWAYS managed everything with the same Google webmaster / Analytics accounts...
  49. No worries for footprints, therefore, since there's nothing to hide.

  51. Right now I'm NOT ABLE and I have NO intention of hiding footprints. My new sites must be managed in the same way, simply by adding them to my accounts and without worrying about hiding ip. There are already too many things to know, if I also introduce the "variable footprints" I will not understand anything anymore :)

  57. Don't think it is risky but the value of ranking it is certainly less.
