Dear Dr. Antonishen,
	I am very interested in a career involving medicine, mainly pharmaceuticals. Considering that you are an accomplished doctor of internal medicine, I thought that you would be the best person to work under. If I could do any sort of thing which would help in my efforts to become a doctor, it would be greatly appreciated. If I could assist or shadow at the free clinic or your practice this summer then that would be most preferable. I am willing to do any sort of job that you may need assistance in, even if it isn’t directly related to medicine. I feel that I am qualified over other because of my greater interest in this. I feel a great passion towards learning, especially in medicine or bio chemistry. I am an honors student and will be getting into national honors society next fall [along with medical occupation, the base to which I will start my career]. I am also very available this summer. I will only be taking one college class and testing out of only one subject [it seems like a lot, but trust me, it’s much better than last summer’s]. I would be extremely grateful just to be around the medical community. Any position you see fit would be appreciated. It would be a great experience to work under you and thank you for your time and consideration.
