- Cisco CCNP ROUTE Training
- Advance your career and earn more money with CCNP ROUTE. Taught by CCIE Joe Rinehart, this course will prepare you for the ROUTE 642-902 exam which will give you the skills necessary to use advanced IP addressing and routing.
- Overview
- Greetings and salutations to my fellow Cisco network professionals!
- One of the things that I have learned during my years in the industry is that no matter how brilliant you are, if you fail to stay current with your skills, you will eventually become obsolete. In the networking industry this is doubly true, as the engineering marketplace continues to adapt and change with the adoption of every new technology. To put it another way, the demand has never been greater than now, nor the prospects better, for skilled network professionals. While many advanced technologies such as Voice over IP, wireless, and data center networking often get great attention, they are of no value if the network “plumbing” isn’t solidly functional.
- Developing top-notch technical skills requires hard work and a great learning blueprint. In addition, understanding practical application can make the difference between simply having a job and enjoying a career. I learned this myself while working as both a network engineer and architect supporting many different types of customers, from small companies to large multinational firms. The expertise required to be successful in this environment is built into the CCNP certification. Having made this journey myself, I can attest to the opportunities it can create for you.
- The CCNP ROUTE course will enable you to explore IP routing topics at a profoundly deep level. Some of the protocols you will discover include:
- Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol
- Open Shortest Path First
- Border Gateway Protocol
- IP Version 6
- Redistribution and Path Control
- In addition to exploring routing concepts, you will be exposed to practical application of those concepts in a multiprotocol routing environment with nearly a dozen devices. Creating the complete lab project requires end-to-end interoperability, which will round out the entire knowledge base needed. Finally, this will enable you to successfully complete the CCNP ROUTE (642-902) exam.
