Hi, thanks for the heads-up, I’m okay with the pingback being sent later.

I just thought about a “sandbox”, where you can specify the parameters being sent from your pingback script to see whether our server reacts properly, but I guess the failed pingback thing is good enough.

Hello, the new pingback script will queue up pingbacks in the database instead of sending the pingbacks directly, we have done this so that the voters don’t have to wait while pingback is being sent.
This makes voting for the voters a little faster.

As for testing mechanism, if you log into your account and edit your site there is a “Send failed pingbacks” check-box under the textfield where you input your pingback url, this option will send pingbacks whenever there is a voting attempt.
I have added this function to make it easier to test, let me know if this is enough or you want something different for testing?

I’ve ran a test and the pingback worked fine. It just came in a little late. (Later as usual)
I’d like to suggest as a side note that you may implement some kind of test mechanism so that we can test our pingback scripts more efficiently as we currently have to wait 24 hours before being able to test it again. (If that’s not in place already, I haven’t seen it yet)

Anyway, I confirm that it works properly now.

We’re using ASP.NET thus the post parameters are retrieved through HttpContext.HttpRequest.Form.

As I stated earlier, it appears to be working now.
Beforehand, it sometimes worked and sometimes not, causing the confusion on our end.
