As you approach the large, solitary tree that the Diglett...ran? past, you notice that it harbors a hollow, almost cavelike indention at the base of its trunk. The entrance is about the size of that of an average home's crawl space, but much darker. It's basically impossible to make it out, and even a flashlight wouldn't help too much - it'd still be difficult to see.

Innsma:
"Hmm, I can afford a l-little more time on f-foot...but it'll be hard without Black Moon by my side at the time..."

Katherine :
"Eh? Rivi, wait hold on!" She quickly follows.

"All the more reason to find something to catch!"

The pattern is just a small strand - it's about four or five inches wide. It doesn't cover the floor, or anything of the sort. And while you don't recognize the pattern as anything, you do notice that it's rather segmented, and a little...hm, it looks sorta like scales, I guess?

When you get near the area the Diglett was headed for, you start to hear the loud sounds of ground being upturned or burrowed into. You can also faintly make out what appears to be a confused man shouting. When you pass by the old tree that stands by the path, you see that not only does it hold a...small rodenty thing, but that Diglett is there, as well! But at the very sight of you, it flees southward.

You seem to be approaching the source of all that squawking you've been hearing since you stepped onto the route. You look up, and notice a few black silhouettes circling an enclosed area to the east. Seems you'll need to loop around to get to it, but it's not too far off the beaten path.

One of them stands out from even this weirdness; a different colour from its brothers, it seems to relish the sunlight even more than they do, and a strange, hot power seeths from its head.

Well, it's hard to say for sure, because the grass here is exceedingly tall - it reaches over your heads. Luckily, such conditions are short-lived, and its length wanes over the course of, say, a half mile or so. Still, it managed to obscure the pocketed-off area you now find yourself in...and perhaps that was for the better. You seem to've stumbled upon a battle between the local wildlife!

Turns out, there's a, surprise, flower-like Pokemon standing atop a tree stump, being accosted by a birdlike one, while a...whatever the fuck Ralts is-like one looks on in horror as it stands before a small area, as if guarding it. But the rose Pokemon don't give a shit. It just smiles serenely, despite its injuries, as an ominous power begins to build up in one of its bulbs.
