  3. Smithing is a property in PvP class building that allows players to upgrade weapons and armor. Available on all armors besides mage armor, smithing upgrades both weapons and armor by 5%. With the novice smithing skill, upgrades on armor improves the armor rating by 10%. Apprentice smithing unlocks better weapon upgrades, where there is different upgrade bonuses depending on the weapon. Adept smithing reduces the weight of upgraded armor by 10%. Expert smithing reduces the weight of upgraded weapons by 10%. Master smithing allows players in the create a class to upgrade and enchant a weapon or armor, but for half the effectiveness of each. This means that both the upgrade bonus percentage and the enchantment will be halved in effectiveness (making a 10% upgrade bonus only 5%, and a normally 8 fire damage enchantment be effectively only 4 fire damage).
