Kid Anon and Fluttermom part 40

>As Rainbow Dash neared her destination. She slowed down considerably and landed on a cloud, looking below it.
>A little downwards was her cloud house...or more like a manor. It was breathtaking, you'd never seen a floating house made of clouds before. Was it really even livable?
>Lower to the ground you saw Fluttershy with...oh hey it's Rarity. You wondered why she was there.
>"psst, Anon...." Rainbow Dash whispered to you
>You didn't pay attention, you were too busy looking at her house. "A-aunt Dash, your place..it looks like a dream mansion..or something..it's incredible."
>Rainbow Dash had to chuckle, nobody ever called her house that before "Hehe...it is pretty awesome. But Anon, listen. You gotta play it cool, remember. We never went too fast, I showed you all the sights. Nothing crazy happened ok? Last thing I need is Fluttershy getting angry at..well either of us. It'll just slow me down."
>You nod "Gotcha...I'll play it cool" You felt bad about lying. But you already went this far with it. a little white lie won't hurt.
>"Right on. ok...ready?" Rainbow Dash whispered
>"yeah" you reply
>Rainbow Dash positioned herself, and gently floated off the cloud and made a very slow descent downwards ".....and here we are Anon, sorry we had to go so slow. But didn't want to worry your mom, you know how it is."
>you nod "yeah..yup..eheh. It was interesting..kind of boring though..eheh.." You weren't good at lying, not to Fluttershy anyway.
>Rainbow Dash lands as both Fluttershy and Rarity take notice of it, and the conversation at hand. It seems they both buy it as simple banter as they come to greet the both of you.
>Fluttershy walks up to you both first and greets you with a smile, listening in on your "normal" conversation "Rainbow Dash, Anon. you're here. And it sounds like things went wonderfully...and safely." She inspects you "I don't see a single mark on you, thank you Rainbow Dash. I knew I could trust you"

>Rainbow dash almost rolled her eyes a little. She knew it wasn't fully true. considering all the belts and harnesses. Speaking of which.
>"I told you Fluttershy, you can always count on me now uhh...mind getting me out of this? It's starting to chafe...everywhere." Rainbow Dash said, moving her neck from side to side, you could hear a small bone snap.
>Fluttershy nods and starts to undo the gear fastened to you and Rainbow Dash. "Anon, did you really enjoy yourself? You didn't get scared did you?"
>"n-nope, Aunt Dash showed me a lot of stuff...I-I just thought things went a little slow, thats all. Still neat." you stuttered.
>Fluttershy undoes the last strap and lets you off "Hmm..I swear you both went a little faster than I expected.." then she shrugged "I guess there wasn't much to show off of our town after all." she sounded a little disappointed. "But I'm glad you enjoyed yourself"
>You nod to her and give her a hug. Well, she believed it. Rainbow dash begins to stretch her body, even floating up and about to stretch her wings. Remarking how great it feels to be out of that mess.
>Rarity comes up to you bearing a gentle smile "Ahh, Anon, hello, how are you today?" she was staring a little above your eyes as she said it.
>You turn to her and immediatly bow, you remember that for her especially, a lady must be treated with respect "I-I'm doing ok Miss Rarity, how are you today, what umm...brings you here?" You almost said "my lady"...oy
>Rarity giggled, she was charmed by how respectful you were "Oh, I'm marvelous, let me just...".
>You suddenly feel your hair move about and fix itself from her magic, you feel a few pulls. and wince.
>Rarity Apologizes "Sorry dear, but your hair looked simply dreadful"
>As for why I'm here..." She turns and uses her magic to bring over a large trunk "I'm here on business. I finished the designs on the sponsorship jackets and made enough for all of us."
>sponsorship jackets? you looked at the trunk. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash noticed and hurridly landed looking at the trunk
>"Oh man! I didn't know you were already done! lemme see, lemme see, lemme see!" Rainbow Dash was excited,

>Rarity sighed, as she started to sift through them. Man, there were actually a lot in there, how many did she make?! "Patience Rainbow Dash, I'm looking for mine to show it off. hmm.."
>As she sifted, she found Fluttershy's first and levitated it towards her, still busy searching through. The jacket seemed to be in a transparent blue plastic. "hmmm, now where did...ahh here we are!"
>Rarity lifted the jacket up and carefully took it out of it's blue plastic and put it on, and began to show it off. The jacket was pure white like her. Jewels shaped to look like small apples adorned the front, while larger jewels matched together were placed on the back in the shape of Rainbow Dash's cutie mark.
>Fluttershy smiled "That looks lovely Rarity"
>You didn't say anything, it looked alright. You supposed it was probably because it was just a jacket. But it being white did make it look plain.
>And Rarity fixed her eyes on Rainbow Dash, who didn't look too impressed.
>"it looks ok" she said "good job Rarity" It didn't sound like she actually meant it too much.
>Rarity suddenly frowned "You don't like it, Rainbow Dash?"
>Rainbow Dash looked left and right in surprise, then directly at Rarity "wh-what? I said it was ok. I mean, my cutie mark looks neat."
>Rarity put one hoof forward as she put another on her head, frowning, she looked sad. dang, you didn't know any of the ponies could look that sad so quick over a jacket "No! I can already see in your eyes that you don't like it! I put all this work into it...and you don't like it!" She started to whine, oh boy, did it NOT sound pleasant.

>Fluttershy rushed to her side to try to calm her down "D-don't worry Rarity, I think it's alright. And I bet everypony else will think its great!" she quickly turned her head towards Rainbow Dash and gave her a "How could you?!" face.
>Rainbow Dash started to get flustered and stomped her hoof "I said it was ok! what more do you want?!"
>o-oh man, Rarity began to cry. You ran up to her. She looked so sad, it hurt your heart. "D-don't worry Miss Rarity, I think the jacket looks great!"
>Rainbow Dash facehoofed the moment you joined in on the fiasco, she thought Rarity was being too dramatic
>Rarity sniffed "Oh thank you Anon, Fluttershy..b-but! WHAT'S THE POINT IF IT'S ONLY OK..I-I'LL HAVE TO START THE WHOLE THING OVVVVEEERRRRRRRR" She began to cry.
>"oh....come on!" Rainbow Dash started to feel guilt and frustration "I SAID IT WAS-"
>suddenly she is cut off, and you and Fluttershy are nearly blinded as the jacket suddenly irradiates a near harsh glow. In the next moment it dims only a decent amount to a rainbow color, even emitting off as an aura. All the jewels are brightened like beautiful lights as the white of the jacket morphs into an ever changing rainbow. you step back and rub your eyes as Rainbow dash is caught offguard, staring, amazed, and mouth agape, as Rarity strikes a pose. Suddenly no longer crying.
>Rarity looked amazing. The jacket was emanating an crazy rainbow aura. The Cutiemark ablaze with color as the apple jewels become alight and deep red as the freshest apple.
>Rarity steps up to Rainbow dash and chuckles "this is why I always follow the first rules of fashion, always put on the best show and.." she uses her hoof to manually close Rainbow's mouth "Always leave them speechless"
>you were all speechless, and a little blinded from the initial burst of light.

>You rub your eyes and try to get a good look, yeah..it did look great. But..did she use magic? you were curious. "Miss Rarity, how..how did you do that? was it magic?"
>Rarity smiled "Anon, I'm glad you asked. You see the white on the jacket is no ordinary fabric. It's a special "Spectrium" fiber that when it absorbs enough light. It will resonate with the jewels on it to release an array of colors. Of course with my expertise, I managed to make the most of it while still being practical."
>Rainbow Dash shook her head, snapping back into it "Then why did you have to get all upset when I said it was ok if it could do this?! You could have just said so!"
>Rarity chuckled "Oh Rainbow Dash. Haven't you ever heard of "dramatic effect"? the impression it left on all of you was simply priceless, I wish I had taken a picture."
>Rarity carefully took off the jacket and levitated it back into the trunk. and began to sift through it again. "hmm, now where did I put it.."
>You chuckled at Rainbow Dash's expression. She looked amazed and stunned.
>Suddenly Rainbow Dash began to giggle "ok Rarity,you got me. I didn't know you were..ya know...capable of pranking anypony."
>Rarity giggled as she continued searching "Prank? oh no darling, simply a good act.If I wanted to prank you, I can guarantee it would have been so much better if I put just a little thought into it... ahh here we are" She lifted up another jacket in blue plastic. At this point, you can guess the plastic was to prevent any of the sunlight from actually giving the jacket it's "effect".
>Rarity levitated it towards you "Here's yours Anon, I still have your measurements so it should fit like a glove"

>You smiled as you clutched it gently "Thanks Miss Rarity! I can't wait to ear it!"
>Rarity turned to you "ahh ahh! not yet Anon. I want both you and Fluttershy to keep it in the plastic until the day of the race. I want them to be in the best of conditions. I don't have the time to make little fixes on all of them should anything happen."
>you nodded
>darn. You kind of wanted to try making that effect happen yourself. It looked really neat. Well, the part that didn't blind you. You noticed that as Rarity put away hers. the plastic made the jacket turn back to it's original state.
>Fluttershy nodded "Don't worry Rarity, I'll make sure nothing happens to them."
>Rarity closed the trunk and started to make it levitate "Oh I know you will dear,I can always count on you for such a thing Fluttershy. Anyhoo, I simply must be going. I have to see Applejack and her family to give them their jackets and then Pinkie Pie." she sighed "I hope I can count on Pinkie not to wear hers, you know how excitable she is"
>Rainbow Dash noticed she didn't get one "Hey, where's mine?"
>Rarity turned to her "Rainbow Dash, darling, you're in the race. You don't get one."
>Rainbow Dash frowned "o-oh...right" she actually really seemed disappointed. you guessed she really wanted a jacket now after seeing that display.
>Rarity made her leave, giving you all a goodbye. You made sure to make your goodbye as respectful as possible. Again, Rarity smiled and remarked that you really were a good gentlecolt. More respectful than most children your age...well..at the age they all could guess at.
