SSS Tier
Count Moneybone - Swap Force 3DS (Probably the best villain in the series. Has a great design and personality, and probably the best final boss fight in the whole series. He shows up in Superchargers as one of the best parts of the game, though his fight is mediocre because you're in a crap car)

Pain-Yatta - Trap Team (A magically animated pinata. His backstory involves him being friends with something called a Unocorn, which is notable for being mentioned in another character's backstory. Besides that, he's just really fun and has an incredibly good kit when he's playable)

Grave Clobber - Trap Team (A giant mummy man, who no joke was buried alive in a shallow grave by his brothers. It's heavily implied that Grave Clobber just murders his brothers when he gets freed. the entire thing is weirdly dark for Skylanders. also he switched from the earth element to the water element between games which is weird but whatever. he's still great)


S Tier
Hood Sickle - Trap Team (A big grim reaper who has a real big scythe. In Trap Team his main attack involves him teleporting and coming back with a ghost following him, implying he murders people, but this was retconned so that he just likes scaring people and the ghosts are changed to dark energy balls. He still looks awesome tho)

The Darkness - Superchargers (The big villain of the whole series, only showing up in the fifth of six games for some reason. He's an awesome villain and is treated seriously the entire time he's on screen, which is a rarity. would be SSS tier if his boss fight wasn't maybe the worst in the series)

Mesmeralda - Swap Force (A random minion of Kaos' Mom who gets no real build up or explanation, but she's wonderful. She opens her fight with a full song, and has a great puppet gimmick. Her fight's mostly just okay, but that's good at that point in the series)

Baron von Shellshock - Swap Force (A weirdly realistically designed crab man who speaks in German for some reason. He's just kind of a dick that's there whenever they need a shady villain, but he does it really well.)

Dr. Krankcase - Trap Team (One of the more popular of Trap Team's villains, mostly because he has a really fun design and personality. His fight is one of the weaker in the game, though)

Kaossandra - Swap Force (Kaos' Mom who comes to help him during Swap Force. She has a very clever boss fight, and is just really funny. She has a larger and better role in the TV series)

Spellslamzer - Superchargers (Probably the best villain Superchargers invented, mostly because he gets one of two memorable boss fights, and has a cool design and voice. He's a giant Spell Punk, magic enemies, that can use the power of every element and create nightmare realms)

Occulous - Spyro's Adventure (A giant floating eyeball that takes over the undead realm and prevents the ghosts there from eating pie. His fight is shit but he gets a fun personality and his design is nice)

Guacamole Monster - Imaginators (A monster made of Guacamole that Kaos imagined up. You have to use a battleship to beat it and it's honestly only up this high because the music for the fight is hilarious)

Thunder Tow - Superchargers (Kaiju lobster monster who acts like a surfer dude. Inexplicably has an ancient artifact that's needed for the plot, and gets an okay fight)

Beachcomber - Superchargers (Kaiju squid monster who acts like a valley girl. Only gets by because she has a fine design and a fight at all)

Chompy Mage - Giants (Old man wearing a Chompy costume, Chompies being the Goombas of the series. Started off as a fun villain but he kind of got over-saturated by the end of the series and just became kind of annoying)

Brain - Imaginators (One of the Ancients who created Skylands. He's just kind of a goof who very rapidly flips between his loyalties because of bad writing. He turns good at the end because Kaos insults his lack of thumbs

Vathek - Spyro's Adventure (Has a great design, but is a fucking chump who never gets a fight and dies due to being an idiot and leaving his weak spot open for a generic NPC to hit)


D Tier
Bubba Greebs - Swap Force (A mutated Greeble, generic purple mooks, that acts as Kaos' Mom's minion and gets a decent fight. No personality, but has a very creepy design.

Arkeyan Conquertron - Giants (A giant robot voiced by George Takei, which was fun at the time but is now just kinda unfortunate. Acts incredibly loyal to Kaos, and is basically just a tool to progress the plot. Generically runs out of fuel and dies at the end, without a fight)

Hektore - Spyro's Adventure 3DS (A glowy floating head who chases you through levels once a timer runs out. Has no personality but at least has a good boss fight)

Rustbeard - Giants 3DS (One of Frightbeard's minions, who you need to beat in order to find him. Pirate robot, which is always fun, but has no personality)

Squidbeard - Giants 3DS (One of Frightbeard's minions, like Rustbeard, but without the as-fun design. Squid pirate isn't a super original design, and this is just a slightly modified enemy design too)

Pipsqueak - Giants (Generic cyclops model with a crown. Apparently cyclops royalty inducted through nepotism. I think you technically fight him but he goes down in like one hit)

Fire Viper - Swap Force (Generic animal monster, but with a decent design and fight)

Pterashark - Superchargers (Generic animal, like the Fire Viper, but not as cool looking. Just a weird dog that can fly and dig through the ground)

The Gulper - Trap Team (Water monster who specifically eats soda in order to grow giant. Doesn't get a boss fight, you just have to do some puzzles until he's generically defeated. Also immensely stupid)

Dragon Hunter - Superchargers (A scrapped boss who somehow still appears in the game's mediocre racing mode as a boss. Only this high because he has a decent design, everyone below this is incredibly awful)


F Tier
Captain Dreadbeard - Spyro's Adventure (Barely counts as a villain, you only ever fight him via card games, but for some reason he keeps showing up and was a boss for some reason in a mobile spin-off)

Lord Stratosfear - Superchargers (Fat aristocratic guy who is only put in power because Superchargers is the game where Kaos wins. He has a shit boss fight and is humiliated without anyone mentioning ever again)

Evilon - Trap Team (An evil version of Master Eon, the Big Good of the series, from a mirror universe. Unfortunately he's only a floating head that's in the background of the level and you don't even fight him)

Blubberbeard - Superchargers (A recolor of a generic mook that for some inexplicable reason gets to be the boss of his own level and also dialog)

Dream Sheep - Trap Team 3DS (A generic sheep with no powers who rides on an idiot dragon who acts like a dog. He's also annoying as piss. You have to fight him in the exact same way 4 times)

Noodles - Giants (A brain damaged cyclops that worships a giant frozen robot, and acts as the villain in one level so you have to put up with him being lol random for an entire level. Was going to have a boss fight but it got cut, making him even memeier in a game with only 3 actual bosses)

Brute - Giants (An unchanged generic mook who gets a more generic name than the enemy he's based on, and for some reason is a unique character)
