January 4, 2018: Happy New Meera/Ulysses Whaled

Party chased the septopus, went down the wrong cavern to find two Lacedons

During the fight, Meera accidentally stumbled upon the septopus

The party managed to beat both Lacedons and the septopus. After Ulysses is paralyzed, Kip comes in and saves the day.

After the fight, the party retreated to rest (and advanced to lvl 3 in the process)

The party returned to find its shipmates

Upon re-entering the cavern, the party was ambushed by 4 grindylows, and one was identified as wearing Sendara's Besmara Tricorne

The grindylows were defeated

The team found its way through the rest of the cavern, until only the middle was left

As the team entered, it saw a monstrous (large) grindylow, as well as an angry female

The female cut two bodies from the ceiling using her harpoon (identified as Sendara Quinn and Giffer Tibbs). The characters began sinking as they hit the water, for having 2 large silver ingots tied to each.

The female, identified as the Brinebrood Queen, said "attack, my son! Feast!"

Dorant blinded both of the enemies on the first turn

The team ended up diving in and killing the whale

Longwhisker went to rescue the lost crewmembers at the bottom, but saw that there were Lacedons at the bottom of the water, attacking Sendara and Giffer from underneath

The amazing and incredible Subwoofer Kip was a vv G O O D B O Y E and jumped in to try to attack the brinebrood queen after she summoned an octopus

The team eventually killed the Queen and octopus, and cut Sendara's bonds, who cast channel positive energy on the team

The lacedons knocked Giffer unconscious, and Meera grabbed her to bring her to the surface.

Meera forced air into Giffer with an airbladder to prevent her from drowning while unconscious, and brought Giffer to the surface

The team found lots of treasure in the cavern room

The team feels like it can take on Master Plugg, no longer afraid of his overt influence.

The session is ended with appraises, spellcraft checks, and 8000xp
