Physical Description
Elis is small, standing around 5'6", and stocky-bodied, with dark brown hair and green eyes. He's pale, with freckles spattered over much of his skin, from his face to his back and arms. He typically dresses in loose green trousers and robes with a light green shoulder wrap, and carries a staff tipped with the Selesnya guild crest. He has a few small scars on his arms from his time as a cathar, and two that cross his chest.

Backstory
--(content warning: there is a minor mention of corrective abuse, but it's very vague. Paragraph 3 if you want to skip it, marked with a *.)--

Born in a sleepy township in Gavony, Elis spent his childhood under the careful guidance of his father, who saw natural talent with healing and restoring magic in the child. Others in the village may have thought the young Elis was different from the rest of the flock, but his father supported him in every endeavour, even when he sought to join the Church as a Springsage at a young age, even when he made it clear who he really was. The support of his father led Elis to foster a gentleness and trust toward other people, no matter who they were or how they treated him.

Following Sigarda and her Host of Herons, he left for a larger town once he was a young adult, studying in the parish there and learning what he could about holy magic and the protection of the countryside. The robes of a cathar may have been large on his small frame, but Elis wore them with pride as he worked to drive back the dark from the woods and the fields. Wandering the province with a small group of other cathars and Springsages, he focused on restoring the scarred land when it was cursed or razed by dark forces, destroying dark artifacts, and putting to rest the undead.

*On one of his visits to the church he had been studying at, however, the priest of the parish discovered Elis's true nature. The man sought to 'cure his deviance' by any means necessary, seeing the young man's struggle to assert who he was as an abomination before Avacyn. Hurt, frightened, and reeling from the experience, Elis cloistered himself in his chambers, chest burning with emotion.

It was this surge of doubt and despair that ignited his spark, flinging him into the Blind Eternities and potentially saving his life. Burning bright, his spark led him on a winding trail through the void until he found himself on the grand city-plane of Ravnica. Wandering the city, he was amazed by the variety of people and places the plane boasted, and he eventually found himself in a Selesnya-controlled district. Seeking shelter, the Conclave took him in, and he immersed himself entirely in their teachings, wanting an escape from the home he feels rejected him. The arms of the Conclave held and supported him as he recovered from his trauma and struggled through the aftermath, until he could one again bloom into the young man he knew he was.

He quickly attained the rank of Guildmage, specializing in communing with creatures and calling forth the mighty wurms that hid under the ground in times of dire need. He learned how to transform himself temporarily into the shape of creatures, specializing in wolfshape; the irony was not lost on him, and he still thinks about how the people of his home plane would feel about that from time to time.

He learned about other Planeswalkers the first time when a mysterious man attempted to convince him to join an association of others. Elis refused, and managed to evade further notice under the shelter of the Conclave. He did manage to get enough detail from the man about others of his kind to meet some of them later, forming a small band of other planeswalkers that occasionally met and exchanged information.

Elis planeswalks rarely enough that he has managed to evade the notice of Project Lightning Bug, and remains ignorant of the nature of Ravnica's Guildpact and the Izzet mazerunner. He currently continues his work with the Conclave, aiming to unite all of Ravnica under a common banner and to help its people realize their inner peace.
