Dodging

A blinding light pierced his retinas. Link's mouth was agape as three monsters stood before him. They were exactly the same as the line of armored statues that were around him. Their faces were the only skin visible, and they were near to an animal's.

"Didn't I say that if you touch the armos that it will be revived?" came the voice of the girl again.

"Wh-Who are you...?" Link barely had time to finish his sentence before the monsters attacked. He dodged the lance that cut through the air toward him and drew his sword after getting to his feet. The very next moment, he blocked an oncoming lance strike from a second monster with his shield.
