  1. [15:36] Putting her hat on, the youngest Kang frowns as she holds the tassels down-- and pulls them down as much as she can.
  2.
  3. "..Um.. He said that he needed to leave. For a while. Maybe he'd come back.." She frowned. "But I don't know if he will.."
  4.
  5. She breathed in, slowly. She frowns deeply. Then she huffs.
  6.
  7. "Can you show me how to use my powers?" She'd ponder. "I still don't know how, and.." She shuts her eyes, sighing. "Everyone else can."
  8. (Percival Kang)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [15:42] Sima's eyes slowly scan the room after all of what's been said. Who was going to feed him? Who was going to teach them how to use cosmic magic now?
  12.
  13. How was he going to teach Percy?
  14.
  15. His hands raise up to rub either side of his face. Kraus, he didn't even know how to begin with teaching anything beyond just swimming and fishing. The teen was a beach bum if anything, not some wonderous magi.
  16.
  17. "I... I can try? What uhm… What powers?" Sima asked, a bit breathless if anything. "I-I can only use water, wind, and u-uhm… Tiny bits of stars."
  18.
  19. He had to feed them didn't they? That wasn't knew but... Still. "He'll come back... Yeah-- A while is just one day, right? Right." A nervous chuckle escapes him shortly after he speaks.
  20. (Sima Kang)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [15:49] Now that their father was gone, the younger Kang would have to do more.
  24.
  25. "I.." She pauses. "The same powers that Aurora and um- Thalia have." She would declare. "I thought you knew how to use 'em.." She frowns.
  26.
  27. She huffs.
  28.
  29. "But that's okay if you don't know how. Maybe Aurora does." She'd state.
  30. (Percival Kang)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [15:50] Percival doesn't seem to comment on the 'one day' idea. Because it was far from it.
  34. (Percival Kang)
  35. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  36.
  37. [15:56] Sima is holding onto that 'one day' idea like it's his last breath. He's not going to go into a panic fit.
  38.
  39. Yet, at the topic of the same powers as Aurora and Thalia have he'd purse his lips. "It's... Strange to explain." He begins, holding a hand out. "The whole thing is sort of finnicky when it comes to casting. It uh... Comes from within, sort of?"
  40.
  41. It truly is hard for him to explain, but as he bolsters down on the feelings of protection and the innateness of what their blood held a golden sword appears within the extended hand.
  42.
  43. "We're born with this... It takes time to awaken. We're here to protect the rest but uhm… It seems kind of rare with our cousins for some reason."
  44. (Sima Kang)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [16:04] Percy only smiles, awkwardly, as Sima holds onto the idea of their father returning within a day, and she would do that over the next few days if it was brought up again. She knew how long it would be before he was 'supposed' to be back, at least..
  48.
  49. "From within," She mumbles. Percy didn't know. It was hard to understand.. "...I don't get it.." She'd frown. As a golden blade forms from Sima's power, the young girl is shocked.
  50.
  51. "..How. How?!" She fumes. "I'm just not strong enough, I'm just not good enough.." She frowns. "I don't get it." She repeats.
  52. (Percival Kang)
  53. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  54.
  55. [16:08] Sima can only shake his head lightly in response "I don't get it either." He repeated on back. Honestly it had just happened one day, right after--
  56.
  57. "It's protection, as I've said. W-we uhm… We have to harness the will to protect those about us. This isn't easy magic that just anyone can do, Percy." He'd release the sword, allowing it to glitter into the ether. "You have to keep training, keep harnessing that desire to protect others."
  58.
  59. "It'll come to you... You've just got to believe, like how you're one with the earth, right?" He'd conclude, flashing a half-hearted smile. Sima can't keep it for long, however, the absence of their father still heavy on his mind.
  60. (Sima Kang)
  61. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  62.
  63. [16:20] Watching as the blade glittered into the ether, Percival almost felt her eyes sparkle with hope. Something that she would achieve one day-- some day, if she kept trying. She breathed in heavily, releasing a huff.
  64.
  65. "Okay, protection.." She mumbled.
  66.
  67. "It's what I'm already good at," She'd mumble. It was what her father said. Even if she felt like it was necessary to truly protect those close to her. She draws a long breath in.
  68.
  69. "Okay, I get it now." She declares, though there's no understanding smile- or a grin, or anything.
  70.
  71. "..I'm gonna go for now then."
  72. (Percival Kang)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [16:24] The Kang's watch that bare spark of a hopeful glitter within his sister's eyes. He had to keep that going for them, right? Sima had to keep them happy and moving.
  76.
  77. "I know you'll get it in time, Percy. We can't give up - Not after what dad has said." He'd declare, motioning them in for a hug.
  78.
  79. What was with their luck these days?
  80.
  81. "Just stay safe for me, ok?.. You're all I've got left now." If they'd accept the hug they'd be squeezed tight, a solid moment passing before they're let go. It was the least he could do given their mother's disposition to embraces.
  82.
  83. "I'm... I'm going to stay in here for a bit before heading to the lighthouse."
  84. (Sima Kang)
  85. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  86.
  87. [16:33] Breathing in, finally, for a final huff, the youngest Kang tries to smile. It's weak, and somewhat fake.
  88.
  89. "..Okay, I will for sure.." She declared softly. She returns the squeeze in tow, but it's not as tight. Percival, even as a girl, was just as weak as when she was a boy.
  90.
  91. "Be careful for me too, then."
  92.
  93. Then, she moves to depart from the tower.
  94. (Percival Kang)
