  1. [17:03] A raging battlefield ahead of her and with nothing more than a blade in hand the girl advanced. Her body snuck by, over and under enemies on the frontlines before she got to a position that was far from appropriate for a girl her age, let alone someone with her pedigree.
  2.
  3. It mattered not, however, this was war and she had joined the Fourfold Army. Her duty was to serve and protect and that's... just what she'd do. An aggressive assault was sent towards the enemy, blindly attacking one of the magi without any particular discrimination.
  4. (Rindou Sakamoto)
  5. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6.
  7. [17:07] The lumberjack was brought into this battle from his own little dreams of grandeur. It was an uphill battle. Two factions against three but even still, a warrior should always fight until the last man. Holz scurried through the battlefield, crushing those that could not withstand his might under a metric tonne of ice and snow.
  8.
  9. And suddenly, he found himself in a place he didn't expect to be in. With a person he'd never expect to see again. -And she was already attacking, the only thing to do next was retaliate.
  10. (Holz Lendora)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [17:11] ** Rindou Sakamoto has inflicted an injury upon Holz Lendora. ("Permanent Injury", "Permanent Injury", "Permanent", "Severity: MODERATE (-10 Vit)") **
  14. [17:29] What an insane and overwhelming exchange of blows. Rindou was far and above the opponent she had targeted on the battlefield; her mythril blade cutting through cloth and flesh relentlessly. As blood was drawn from Holz' form the nobleman spoke. She was starting to feel herself at home in battle.
  15.
  16. "Many people told me that I shouldn't be out there fighting at war. That I should have a retainer take the fights for me and that... I was too young. Too noble."
  17.
  18. A heated fist was swung towards the ice magi, melting through his defenses and forcing him backwards quite a bit. The young woman had quite a lot on her heart. It wasn't going to be easy to resolve it all - a single battle would not be enough.
  19.
  20. "Some told me that I should give up on what I feel is right, too. It looks like they were wrong, doesn't it?"
  21.
  22. Rindou's molten shell cracked and fell on the ground around her as the full might of her holy powers was put on display. Her knees bent lightly before she launched herself at Holz directly.
  23.
  24. A blade of holy magic would vanish.
  25.
  26. The light grew brighter as she approached, reaching all the way to the tip of her blade. Echo, Butcher Of The Dreadlord was thrust forward, piercing through skin, flesh, and muscle alike. The influence of holy magic was forced upon the young man's body in a manner reminiscing of an exorcist's ritual, yet Holz had no trace of occult magic to burn, leaving the bright lights to do no more than shine as they spread through his body.
  27.
  28. She kicked him away, allowing her enemy's left shoulder to bleed as the hint of her holy might remained within his system - preying for vile influences. While nothing would be felt for now by the young man any contact with an occultist would result in the dormant might striking.
  29.
  30. A curse of its own kind.
  31.
  32. Blood dripped onto the grass as shereadied herself again - expecting him to pick between death and retreat.
  33. (Rindou Sakamoto)
  34. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  35.
  36. [17:50] As expected. Would his effort ever bare fruit? It seemed to him that he was outmatched and outclassed. The ice magi's harsh winds that tried to buffet his foe were incapable of slowing them for long. Their deluge's were merely plunged into and taken advantage of. His feeling was quite the opposite, one misstep after another mistake.
  37.
  38. Throughout the fight he kept his mouth shut, he wasn't the type to speak during a duel, save for the occasional grunts and winces. Listening to the woman drone on about expectations and defying such things wasn't the best thing to hear during such circumstances but one that he was forced to deal with.
  39.
  40. Afterall, he was the loser here. He wasn't quite as experienced as Rindou whence it came to combat and it showed, and even his own armor couldn't dull blows for long enough to matter. His body gave up on him, refusing to stand as his defenses shattered. Holy magic given shape, given focus had pierced his fragile body and tore through him like a hot knife through butter.
  41.
  42. He was lucky to be alive, clearly. If he had actually been an occultist... He'd be in much more trouble. Alas, he was now given a choice. Death or a solemn retreat. He wouldn't squander this chance, not after the moments of bliss he spent with his friends just before arriving onto the battlefield. Being thrown further away from his assailant was in everyone's best interests. In moments, he'd struggle to his feet, quaking endlessly in his steel boots and bleeding from more angles than just his shoulder. For now, he had no idea what had just happened to him.. Only that he was beaten swiftly and painfully.
  43.
  44. As he took a forlorn walk home, scurrying to see the ones he considered family. He could only help but remember the first time the duo had met. Leaving with this,
  45.
  46. "I'm still not close to being worthy of beating you. Thank you for my life."
  47. (Holz Lendora)
