LV1 Silver Crown FAQ

What is Level 1? How are you not gaining EXP?
An ability on Critical Mode called "EXP Zero" makes it so neither I nor my teammates gain EXP. We still can, however, level up Summons and Drives, even with EXP Zero on.

Are Stat Boosts allowed?
Power Boosts, Defense Boosts, and Magic Boosts are all banned, AP Boosts however are allowed.

What is the Silver Crown and how do you get it?
Sora gains a crown on his head after completing these 3 objectives below. 1/3 gives you bronze, 2/3 gives you silver, and 3/3 gives you gold.
1. Beat Terra
2. Beat all of the Data versions of Organization XIII
3. Defeat all of the Organization XIII mushrooms

What is a "Silver Crown" speedrun?
The objective is to get the Silver Crown by completing 2 out of the 3 above objectives, then beat the game with it as quickly as possible.

Why can't you get Gold at Level 1?
Mushroom V, Mushroom VII, and Mushroom X are all impossible to defeat in time, unless you use Stat Boosts, which aren't allowed.

Can you read Japanese?
Yes and no. I can read Katakana perfectly fine, but I don't understand what most of the Hiragana or Kanji means at all. I mostly just memorize what is what and go from there. You don't need to be able to read Japanese to play these games.

Why not use the English patch?
It's a modification of the game. I like my speedruns to be as legitimate as possible.

How are you playing KH2FM? Emulator? Japanese PS2?
I'm playing KH2FM on an NTSC-U Playstation 2, using a Flip Top and Swap Magic. Use Google for more info on how this works.

Will you get/speedrun KH 2.5 when it comes out?
For a little bit I will. Unfortunately, KH2.5 isn't a great speedgame because of the 40 EXTRA MINUTES OF LOAD TIMES as well as unnecessarily long Drive loading causing pause loading everywhere just makes it seem sluggish and boring as all hell.

What does the Silver Crown do?
Absolutely fucking nothing.

Why are you doing extra worlds like Atlantica and 100 Acre Wood?
To unlock Terra, all worlds (including Atlantica and 100 Acre Wood) must be completed before you defeat Final Xemnas. A glowing ring around a world means that it has been completed.

Why are you grinding Drive Forms?
Some of your Drive forms need to be at a high enough level to make it through Cavern of Remembrance, as well as for having faster boss fights and such. This is how much I grind up each Drive Form.
