  1. [18:22:43] Another presence had been felt that Asami was aware of. A glassy gaze looked over Demyan who was pleading for life. The child's ears twitched as he rose. Asami had backed away.
  2.
  3. Each word pressed into her mind tightly, outstretching and filling her thoughts to drown them out. The man's words hit Asami like a wave crashing against the shore, pushing the sand back yet pulling it back in.
  4.
  5. Back and forth, she could feel her emotions tearing apart in her mind, visible by the amount of tears the flooded in her eyes, dripping down her cheeks. Asami staightened herself up.
  6.
  7. "I-" She paused. He had said the very words she hadn't heard in years. Asami had touched his heart deeply shown. She shook her head, the storm from before crept in their direction as thunder rumbled throughout the area, echoing in the distance.
  8.
  9. A bolt struck own against Demyan as Asami forced winds to knock him off his feet. It was aparent of the coldness within her own heart, failing to listen to the man's words over those of Valentross.
  10.
  11. An annoyed sigh slipped her lips, staring at the downed man on the ground. Asami's eyes gazed to the direwolf stalking on their conversation, lurking nearby and watching, approaching but keeping a distance. This would be her messenger-
  12.
  13. Her attention was stolen back from the wolf to Demyan. Asami took a hand to her cheeks, wiping away at the tears. Maybe to the man it had seemed like she calmed, but deep inside she was holding in her emotions to finish their final conversation.
  14.
  15. "I have to listen to him.." Her voice was angered, annoyed, and cold in tone. "I.. I love you too!" She spoke in a tone more irate than before. This was an incredibly weak moment for her that she couldn't falter within and break. Her orders from Valentross and this situation were inevitable now, there was no stopping it.
  16.
  17. They had been deep within the marshes, hidden behind a wall of trees and between two bodies of water. The wind picked up around them.
  18.
  19. "I have to listen to him! He.. he owns me, he's all I have, even if you tell me you didn't leave, you're lying, you left me there, he hurt me, you left me! You left Valentross! You left Loranthis!"
  20.
  21. Her other hand placed on his scythe, raising it over her shoulder. "W-We... n-never did.. but.. we.. we will again.. someday, Demyan.." She nodded her head quickly, sticking out her bottom lip as they quivered. "I love you too!"
  22.
  23. The scythe came down swiftly on the man's neck, cutting his neck in half. "We never did.. we never grew it.. I.. I love you so much, Demyan!" She was in panic now, the man's head rolled from his body on the ground, causing complete fear to take over and she fell back on the ground, dropping the blade. Everything around the child's body spun in rapid circles as if her world was crashing down heavily on her body.
  24.
  25. "I'm so sorry! I belong to Valentross! He told me to do it, he told me! I-" She could feel a strange presence again, the murmurs, the echoing, feminine voice but she couldn't make out what it was saying over her whimpering cries.
  26.
  27. "Demyan! I love you, I'm sorry! We'll... We'll grow gardens together when we're both free! I promise to Asena! I promise to Saekanis! I promise, I promise you!"
  28.
  29. She looked upon the man's headless body that bled, soaking into the soil below. What to do next now.. Would this disgusting act she had accomplished truly prove anything more than what it was meant for?
  30. (Asami Adaliah)
