- Covet: -Eli was in the kitchen making some popcorn in the microwave and cutting up apple slices, putting them in a bowl. He was doing his best to not show how nervous he was, by keeping himself busy.- It's not like it's a date, I just invited her over to hang out and watch a movie, we've hung out plenty of times. But that doesn't really count because we just happened to meet up. I specifically asked her, in probably the stupidest way possible. It's okay, maybe she will see the charm in it. She's sweet and will like the gesture. C'mon Eli stop psyching yourself out. You got this...Man up. -He continued talking to himself while he got the snacks together.
- Tsaaq: ((WOO!))
- Covet: [Don't be a woo girl Bliss....XD]
- Tsaaq: ((AHAHAAH but his nervousness is hilarious))
- Covet: [He's such a pussy XD]
- Tsaaq: ((A baby back bitch lol?))
- Covet: [No he does have some balls....just not big ones]
- Tsaaq: Bliss parked her black prius in the driveway of the OCH with precision. She got out of her vehicle and dashed up the steps of porch and right up the to door. She shrugged and went to the window since that seemed to be the go to thing for her. She stared at Eli whilst he spoke to himself for a moment before smiling. Bliss banged on the frame of the window and waved like a maniac. “Hi!” She shouted through the glass.
- Covet: -Eli jumped when he heard the banging on the door, nearly knicking himself with the knife. He waved the hand with said knife in it, then looked at the knife and put it down, making his way into the living room to open the door for her. He had a big goofy smile on his face as he greeted her. -Hey, you got the message, I figured I could have just texted you, but I wasn't really thinking.- He told her, running his hand through his curls.- C'mon in. I was just making a couple of snacks. I know you don't eat this late normally, but I made sure it was healthy things, Popcorn and Apple slices with caramel dip. -he told her, putting his hands up while he explained, after ushering her in.- We can have juice, or water to drink cause I didn't want caffine to be a big deal this late, but I do have Root Beer, chilling in the fridge as well.
- Tsaaq: She jumped a bit when the door opened. “It’s no problem at all, I’m partly glad you asked at all. You wouldn’t believe the night I had to endure yesterday.” She said as she walked through the doorway. “That is so lovely of you Eli!” Bliss exclaimed and looked at the snacks. “I suppose I can break my own rules for once.” She whispered. “And if I get thirsty water is fine. What are we watching?” Bliss asked as she pointed to the television.
- Covet: -He frowned when he heard she'd had a bad night- Well I was going to let you pick, because I was torn with three options. Watching a bootleg copy of the new Avengers movie, I know...shame shame. The Dark Crystal, which is on Netflix, or if you were feeling daring and bold we could spend the whole weekend watching the complete Harry Potter series. With appropriate breaks in betweeen of course. But, before any of that, I want to hear about your night last night, Is everything okay? -he asked her, walking into the kitchen to pull down a bowl to put the popcorn in.-
- Tsaaq: “Hmm, this bootleg you speak of? Is it a good copy? That’s very important.” She inquired as she walked around him and went to sit on the couch. Bliss began to frown as she crossed one leg over the other. “Well, Lucius and Serenity came back to camp yesterday trying to party again. And I was caught off guard because Hayley, Adam and I planned to go to that stupid haunted island but when Hayley heard about a party she made me go with her. Lucius wouldn’t leave me alone and it was just strenuous on my psyche.” She sighed. “Anyways, I was happy to hear you wanted to hang out. You’re always fun.” Bliss smiled.
- Covet: -Eli nodded at her- It is in fact, a very good copy. It's the cut they send to the distributor, I just got it downloaded today. -He reached into the fridge and grabbed a couple of bottles of water, along with the the snacks and set them down on the coffee table in front of them.- I'm sorry I wasn't around. I would have gone with you to give you a distraction. That Lucius guy really gets to you doesn't he? Lex Luthor type? -He asked her as he grabbed the remote to access the thumb drive plugged into the blu ray player.-
- Tsaaq: She bounced a bit in her spot on the couch. “Ooo, let’s watch Avengers then!” Bliss clapped her hands together for a moment before becoming reserved again at the mention of Lucius. “It’s quite alright, though you being there would’ve been nice. ” She shrugged. “He is. He’s very arrogant and superficial among other things.” She sighed. “Oh well.” She waved her hand. “I don’t like to think about him. I want to think about watching a fun movie!”
- Covet: Fair enough, Forget I ever brought him up. -Eli smiled at her and hit the play button.- Tonight will be a jerk free night. Well, the only jerk that's allowed tonight is Ultron. -He brought the bowls of caramel and apples up to the couch, offering one to her.- I hear that they really undercut Black Widow's role in this movie. They really have made her domesticated, It's a tragedy...
- Tsaaq: A smile grew on Bliss’ face and she let out a laugh. "Oh, thank you." She took the bowl and glanced at the contents for a moment before dipping a slice into the caramel and unhurriedly chewed it. She nodded her head and glanced at Eli. “This is bad at all.” She said when she finally swallowed. “Oh yeah, I read about that. It’s really unfortunate because in the last movie she was very tactful and cunning. Just as Black Widow should be.” Bliss nodded as her eyes went to the TV screen.
- Covet: Right?! She is a spy and was trained in Russia...She can speak how many languages? Let's not get into the places and people she's infiltrated. -he went off, grabbing an apple for himself as the movie started up into the credits. He leaned back against the couch, getting comfortable, his hands sitting in his lap, between apple slices.-
- Tsaaq: ((isn't* agh))
- Covet: [lol it's all good, I knew what you meant XD]
- Tsaaq: “I know!” She sang in a high pitch as she stared at the screen. “I don’t know why they do things like that to female characters. The same thing happened to Katniss in the second Hunger Games, luckily I’m not that into that.” Bliss began to say with a shake of her head. Her eyes would not tear away from the television as she reached for an apple slice. “Perhaps writers just get lazy…”
- Covet: Yeah, I liked the books for the Hunger Games more than the movies, I'm still confused how they stretched the last book into two movies. At that point, I think it's also on the directors. Which is really sad because they're the ones who get the awards in the end. -He shook his head , waiting for Bliss to take a slice before he took another.-
- Tsaaq: She hovered her hand and looked to him before taking her slice. “Thank you.” Bliss whispered. “Anyways, yes I feel as if they cut a lot of corners for and I’m not exactly sure why. Think about it. Did we really need Black Widow to change? She was so smart in the last movie. It was absolutely superb! If it isn’t broken don’t attempt to fix it.” She brought her slice to her mouth as she chewed. She shrugged and watched the action on the screen with a smile.
- Covet: They do it for time, which is stupid, because I would love to sit in a dark theater for three hours watching every detail of a story brought to life, rather than splicing it down and mutating it. -he chewed and swallowed his apple, before he kept talking, his eyes on the screen for a long moment before looking at Bliss.- Why change it now too? Of all times to have a strong female superhero character, wouldn't that be now? Politically at least.-
- Tsaaq: She had kept her gaze on the screen before hearing Eli speak, she turned to him with her hands raised a bit. “I know!” Bliss whispered with a dramatic nod. “There is a new wave of political thought in America these days! Is Hollywood aware of how much money they would make if they took advantage of it? They would make so much money. How many people are on tumblr? Millions?” She shrugged then smiled a bit. “This is fun by the way.”
- Covet: -Eli grinned as she spoke, watching her speak out. Enjoying her thought process.- It's all about the target audience, they aren't considering all the margins. If they catered to those other demographics, you're exactly right, they'd be making more than they are now. I think that's what kicked me off to doing Spider Gwen. It's not typical to see a strong female lead character. -he shrugged- I've gotten some flack for being some sort of creep, gender bending Spider Man, but that's not at all what it is. They just have to wait for the series to come out, maybe it will change their minds. I think a strong female lead is a great thing to have. -He told her then blushed a bit as she told him she was having fun- It was nothing, something small to help pick your spirits up. I'm glad you enjoy.
- Tsaaq: “But Spider Gwen is such a good idea! How could anybody call you a creep?” She pouted. “They’ll see. You’ve got a great thing going there. I’m sure it’s just fanboys who are stuck in their old ways. The same people who poo-poo on the Star Wars prequels. I will admit they weren’t well done but they still serve their purpose and for that I like them. ” Bliss pushed her glasses up her nose. “Granted, I am a fangirl so I shouldn’t speak… “ She grinned at him. “Well it’s working very much, thank you. And this copy of Age of Ultron is really good. You know how to deliver.” Bliss smiled as she pointed to the TV.
- Covet: It's probably the same people behind Gamer Gate. It's ridiculous. -He shrugged- But don't feel like you can't speak about it, I like your thoughts, and I admire your passion for such things. So speak on Fangirl! -he held up his arm cheering her on, then got a little smug as he leaned back, throwing his arm over the back of the couch, behind her- I appreciate the compliment, even if delivering makes me a pirate. That's just the inner dedicated, fanboy in me.
- Tsaaq: She shook her head as she tried to stop herself from smiling. “Yes, pirating can be bad and you could potentially make some already rich people pretty livid. But you’re marvelous so I won’t rat you out or anything.” Bliss giggled. “I hope you don’t let those people get you down. They’re mostly mean and unfulfilled with their ideals. Some men just want to watch the world burn.” She looked to him for a moment before she went back to watching the movie. “I’m just glad you’re actually interested in what I talk about to be honest, and that you have opinions and ideas. It’s like a breath of fresh air.”
- Covet: -He shrugged, then put his other hand on his chest- They can't be livid, because I'm impatient, I bought my movie ticket properly when I went to see this with my Dad, and I will buy the deluxe edition when it comes out on Blu Ray. -he shrugged- I just really wanted to share it with you too. -He waved his hand- Nah, it comes with the territory in comics. In the end I've got the official endorsement from Stan the Man himself. There is little to nothing that can kill the determination that gives. -He looked at her with a quizical look- Why wouldn't I be interested in what you talk about? You are a very interesting person, and you are very easy to talk to. It'd be rude to keep my thoughts to myself, especially when they are so alike your own.
- Tsaaq: “Well I’m glad you are. Plus how many people who complain about things on the internet can say they have a Stan Lee seal of approval?” She waved her finger at him. “I don’t know. I assume people find me boring for the majority of the time.” She shrugged her shoulders. “I think I’m used to people talking at me than to me. Perhaps that’s the dilemma. I’d hate to bring up Lucius again but our conversations were so empty. It was like he was saying what he thought I wanted to hear, if that makes sense? It was all so counterfeit.” Bliss stifled a giggle. “You know what I want? The suitcase of DVDs with of all the Avengers line up movies and it comes with the tesseract. I spend so much money on DVDs, I might have a problem.” She started to laugh.
- Covet: -Eli nodded and smiled at her.- You are the farthest thing from boring, Bliss. People are dumb for not acknowlelding how amazing you are. You deserve a person's full attention and genuine response. He's an idiot for treating you that way. -He told her putting his hand lightly on his shoulder, in a comforting manner, before he laughed with her- Actually that sounds really awesome, If you have a problem with DVD's then I have a problem with Comic books, and I'm not ready to admit that yet. -he told her with a chuckle.-
- Tsaaq: “You are definitely right, people do tend to be dumb. You’re not though, you’re amusing and by far one of the best people I know.” She bit down on her bottom lip. Her eyes went to his hand that was now on her shoulder and back to his face, she looked back and forth at his hand and face a few more times before letting out a laugh. “But one has to ask themself is it really a problem? Especially in the case of comics because they’re incredible.” She said casually. “Well maybe it’s a problem when you spend too much money on the two. That’s the mistake I always make.”
- Covet: -Eli noticed how she bit her lip then her glancing back and forth between his hand and face a few times and quickly moved his hand- I- I'm sorry I didn't mean to linger. I've washed recently, I promise. -He rubbed his hands on his pants almost neurotically, trying to slip back into conversation.- Who can put a price on sentimental value, though? How can you say what is too much money, for the things you love?
- Tsaaq: Bliss had slowly begun to nod her head in agreement. “That is true as well. Now you’re making me want to go to central and go into Barnes & Noble and just go crazy.” She tucked some of her blonde hair behind her ear and lowered her head a little. She remained quiet for a moment. “It was okay, you know?” Bliss said softly. “Usually when people touch me it upsets me but that time it didn’t… As much. That’s why I was distracted.” She said with a weak shrug.
- Covet: Let me know if you go, I'd love to join in on the Barnes and Noble frenzy.-He blushed a bit and scrunched up his face, trying to focus on killing the annoying reaction, while trying to play it cool- Oh, I just didn't want to make you uncomfortable, that's the last thing I want to make you feel. Uh, would it be alright if I did it again? You can tell me if it bothers you and I'll move immediately. -He told her, his own nervousness present in his voice.-
- Tsaaq: “Of course I’ll let you know. I have to have somebody help me in my splurging.” She said. “You’re very considerate. Thank you.” Bliss said as she put her hands in her lap. She nodded her head. “Yes, it would be lovely if you did.” She scooted a little closer to him with an awkward giggle escaping her lips. She covered her mouth and looked at Eli with a nervous smile.
- Covet: -Eli moved his arm back around her shoulders, letting his hand rest on her arm gently. He leaned back into the couch to get comfortable, His eyes watching the screen, giving a soft smirk.- You have the best laugh, it's so bubbly. So what section are we visiting first at B and N? -He asked her softly-
- Tsaaq: Her face brightened up. “Aww thank you.” She cooed gently. “You actually like my laugh? I’ve always been very self conscious about it.” She leaned her head on Eli’s arm and pouted her lips. “I love going to the science fiction and fantasy section for box sets. So perhaps there first? But I think we should go to the graphic novels section first because sometimes they have the entire arcs of some comics in hardcover form and they’re fun to collect.” She started to say with excitement. “I think Barnes & Noble is one of my favorite places.” Bliss smiled.
- Covet: You're very welcome. -he told her, as he smiled when she leaned her head on his arm.- And Yes, I do. It's perfect for you. Unique and inviting. - He watched her while she spoke, losing focus on the movie.- No no, First we're hitting the coffee shop to get something to drink, while we parouse the shelves, in a very classy way. Like it's no big deal that we're spending that much money on so many books. -he smiled at her.- If the comic book shop didn't exist, I would have to agree with you.
- Tsaaq: “Oh I see. I understand now. Perhaps we can get a bagel too?” She nodded her head. “We have to be very skillful about our shopping.” Her brows rose playfully while he spoke then she began to smile. “You still have to take me to the comic book shop so it can gradually join my list of favorite places.” Bliss said before she looked away to glance at the television screen.
- Covet: -Eli's hand went to his chest as he gasped sharply- Be still my heart, I know, she said the magic B word. -He gave her a charming smile.- I'd love to take you some time. It's a pretty great group of people there. You'd fit right in with them, provided they aren't stunned by your beauty, of course.
- Covet: [ehhhhhstupid enter...not done!]
- Covet: *-He told her, giving her a gentle squeeze.- They are all pretty hardcore nerds, and because of that they tend to be a bit awkward around girls, let alone pretty girls.
- Tsaaq: ((LMAO the b word xD))
- Covet: [Bagels are his life....XD]
- Tsaaq: She started to giggle again. “Yes bagels. They’re efficient when it comes to curbing your hunger.” She laughed and looked back to him. Bliss felt her cheeks flush pink. She brought her hands up from her lap to cover her face. “Stop!” She let out a nervous laugh. “Oh my goodness, you flatter me too much.” She said as she spread her fingers out to peek at him. "All I wanted was to be invited to your comic book shop and I got sweet compliments."
- Tsaaq: ((Pfft bagels are my life too Eli I understand))
- Covet: [I want bagels now...and I have none...D:]
- Tsaaq: ((NOOOO))
- Covet: They are also efficient at being delicious, and my life blood. -He added, moving his hands up to to take them from her face- I'm sorry, but it's true, and then when you speak, and speak their language. I'll have to clean up puddles of blood off the floor and probably call an ambulance. -He laughed- But I'd happily mop it up and make sure it's sanitary for you to stay and enjoy. Once you are regular, they'll be cool, So this will only happen a couple of times. -He told her, giving her a playful smile.-
- Tsaaq: She gazed at him for a moment with a shy smile. “Or I could fashion myself a mask made of beanie babies and whenever I come to the shop I’ll wear it and nobody will have any nosebleeds?” She suggested jokingly with a smirk. “Or even better. I could wear my mask and one day I don’t and reveal that I’m the girl with the beanie baby mask and record everyone’s reaction and sell it to FOX as a reality TV show.” Bliss raised her eyebrows. “I’m kidding of course. I enjoy my beanie babies way too much to make them into a mask.” She laughed softly. “You can tell them I’m really a man?” She started to crack up.
- Covet: [...I can't with you right now...XD]
- Tsaaq: ((ALL OF THE SUGGESTIONS LMAO))
- Covet: -Eli grinned as she spoke of ways to hide herself, before he shook his head at her- Nonsense. We will not harm your beanie babies, nor will I be saying you are a man. They will just have to get over it, I could probably give them a bit of forewarning too. That could definintely help. -He smiled at her- Regardless of how adorable you'd look with a beanie baby mask.
- Tsaaq: Bliss threw her hands up a little and stifled a boatload of giggles. “It’s not supposed to be adorable it’s supposed to be terrifying!” She tried to say with a serious expression but failed horribly. "Oh fine, we'll do it your way. It is the more sensible option anyway." Bliss laughed a little louder and pushed her glasses up her nose. “I don’t think I’ve laughed this much in… In a while.” She stammered a bit and leaned more on his arm.
- Covet: -He smiled at her, shaking his head while laughing along with her.- I've enjoyed this tonight. It was exactly what I was hoping for it to be. -He looked over at the screen and saw the credits for the movie starting to roll up the screen.- And now it looks like the movie is over. -He moved a little to face her more.- We'll definitely be doing this again, Yes? -he asked her with a hopeful smile on his face.-
- Tsaaq: “I did too. Thank you so much for inviting me.” Her eyes went to the screen then to him. She nodded her head. “Of course we will, it’s so much fun.” Bliss bit into her lip with a hint of nervousness. “I should probably head back before it’s too late.” She whispered as she shifted on her spot on the couch.
- Covet: Yeah, I'll escort you to the door. -He stood up, moving his arm from around her, so he could offer his hand out to her, pulling her to her feet. In one swift flawless motion he attempted give her a quick peck on her pouty lips.- Thank you for coming over. Drive safe and sweet dreams, Bliss.
- Tsaaq: ((Ah okay cassnova lmao))
- Covet: [XD HE TRIED...that doesn't mean he succeded. He could have missed and kissed her nose instead.]
- Tsaaq: Bliss took his hand and got up from the couch and walked with him to the door, caught off guard by the attempted kiss. Her eyes widened a bit afterward. She stared at him for a moment then got on her tippy toes to steal a proper kiss. Bliss smiled and waved at him as she went to open the door. “No thank you, Eli.” She giggled. “And next time you want to kiss me? Just ask.” She suggested lightheartedly as she stepped down the porch to her prius and drove off.
- Tsaaq: ((OKay well successful nerd kiss was successful.))
- Covet: -Eli's face grew bright red, while she walked away, giving a wave and an awkward smile as she drove away. Once she was out of sight he used the waving hand to facepalm- Idiot. you asked to put your arm back around her, why didn't you ask to kiss her. This is what you get for trying to be smooth, this is real life not the movies. -he sighed- But she kissed you back...so perhaps all hope is not lost! -he held up his fingers crossing them before he cleaned up and turned off the lights, heading to his room, to flop into bed with a smile on his face as he passed out.-
- Covet: [This fucking nerd. XD]
- Tsaaq: ((LMAO Eli I cant with you.))
