  1. Sorry O_T I missed your tweets/DMs whilst I was putting the Jack vs Sarah Twitpic timeline together!
  2.
  3. Apologies I hope I have dealt with your DMs with my DMs but this was the outstanding issue!
  4.
  5. https://need.crowdmap.com/main
  6.
  7. Synchronicity:) https://n30supplies.crowdmap.com/main
  8.
  9. Whilst I am not too sure that it is needed! The "free wi-fi" spot might be a good addition! Location of other Camp (s) eg Cabinet and HQs of the various 'factions' Otherwise any communication tool is a good (thing)
  10.
  11. Locations of Square Security (pat downs) also first aid stations Mosques where FH's set up!
  12. However with a bit of luck you will not need those (Insh'Allah ;) Instead you should be in for the long haul! So...
  13.
  14. Whilst on the topic some thoughts about Communications derived from what little I know about the OccupyLSX (St Paul's) Camp!
  15.
  16. +++PLEASE SHARE ON A TRUSTED NETWORK+++
  17.
  18. Whilst phone calls and tweets seem to cope... there needs to be dedicated Tweeps to various roles eg Tahrir supplies 24/7 which I note: has been taken up by LSX ! :)) and permanently monitored Phone A/c (s) with a handover between shifts!
  19. A trouble shooting team located 'elsewhere' would be a good.
  20.
  21. ** BUY some Walkie talkies if you have not already! These are a must!
  22. One set for camp security; a second set for the Friday security posts (patdowns) Govt thugs etc; a third set for comms between the two or more (!) camps. #OccupyThePyramid ;)))
  23.
  24. In the long term Twitter is not the best tool. As you have seen: #TwitterPanic!!! All it takes is for a rumour to surface; sudden panic sets in; the signal to noise ratio goes through the roof! And the lone voices saying "no NO everything is fine" ...get drowned out.
  25.
  26. ++Structural Communications Problems++
  27.
  28. From my perspective the current organisation is too Reactive. Should be more Proactive.
  29.
  30. Solutions 1/
  31. Support to Camps: Your occupation needs a formal communications structure between support i.e. various Youth Hqs: Tahrir Base Camp & #OccupyCabinet!
  32.
  33. Youth Parliament (I suggested this before. Sigh!) The Junta will set up a parliament according to its wishes to rubber stamp business as before. yes they are that stupid.
  34.
  35. Set up a Youth Parliament! Ideally in an new Occupation. Squat in an abandoned building like the UBS occupation in London! Use your Youth Parliament to thrash out issues between the various factions. Televise it *professionally* using U-Stream or LiveStream if you must!
  36. Mix and match your TV channel with documentaries- there are a few! Guest speakers & etc...
  37. At night a roundup of events in English for the American audience along with English programming.
  38.
  39. Solutions 2/
  40. Computer support: In Occupy London we have a set of servers in the Tech Tent. And elsewhere! Everyone that needs one has a laptop or mobile or both and we use Internet Relay chat with TeamSpeak. The latter is encrypted and on a peer to peer basis. Secure Communications!
  41. Our press and media people use the local Starbucks for free wifi! The plan is roughly for a stunt/ media opportunity every day with a big event every week. Keeps us in the news! Meanwhile we hammer out our message. Not revolutionary Left wing dogma and angel dancing on a pin arguments about revolutionary ideals... but the simple question:
  42.
  43. "How much longer must we bow our heads to our elites?"
  44.
  45. In your case the Junta, in ours: the City of London and the "Banksters" (Gangster bankers)
  46.
  47. Don't propose solutions!
  48. Don't make demands!
  49. That is the job' of your new dummy parliament and when it fails (and it will) use humour, pranks and satire to point out how it is failing the Egyptian people. Again.
  50. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yippies
  51. Also demands just make you look weak when they are ignored!
  52. Just keep shouting out "inequality!"
  53.
  54. The people will hear...eventually!
  55.
  56. All politicians desire power and power brings corruption and corruption: inequality!
  57.
  58. Solutions 3/ WebPresence
  59. This is how the St Paul's Camp works!

  64.
  65. and that is just the surface there is a lot more going on below!
  66. Add facebook (Yeuk), Forum, other IRC chat,... See computer support above!
  67. Trust your computer geeks! Darknet etc!
  68.
  69. ==Were you failed!==
  70.
  71. Again communications between all the various radical groups! Too many individuals with their own agendas. Not enough Consensus! Result your message incoherent failed to attract the vote.
  72. But it is a start!
  73.
  74. ==Where you will succeed!==
  75.
  76. The MB have a hierarchical structure that has been around for decades. Corrupt. They will probably get in bed with the Salafists ;) The mind shudders! Their policy and demands lurch to the right.
  77. To counter this you need to form a single block. The model I suggested last time (sigh) was a Broad Left - a convenience by which radical Marxists and Trotskyites can work together without burying the icepick!
  78.
  79. ***This is where the Consensus model will help***
  80.
  81. It is a revolution in group dynamics
  82. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consensus_decision-making
  83. It is a very powerful tool. Under Consensus the opinion of El Baradei == that of a street kid!
  84.
  85. Unfortunately my post election post concerning this was deleted by the person, on whose blog I posted it to. Fortunately: http://pastebin.com/uz9xLMY6
  86.
  87. Yours as always Brother B.O.F.
