  1. ** So it all started with Elexia reaching out to say hi, and that she knew it'd been Lief who had faciliated visits between Gurashi and Duet. Unfortunately Lief hasn't been waking :C So Elexia stepped up to say she would do what Lief would do, and just be an overall excellent person, so Gurashi finally accepted the offer! Had to run and make **
  2.
  3. look me
  4. They are an ordinary human wyrden demigod. They stand a few inches shy of six feet tall with a slender build. Their arms and legs are lanky, soft hands nervously balled into fists at their side. A touch of gold dust has been streaked across the back of their right hand, glittering in any available light. Their sandy skin has been reddened from exposure to the sun, causing an array of tawny-colored freckles to appear upon their round cheeks and thin, upturned nose. A moderately-sized, crescent-shaped scar mars their right cheek. Perhaps the most noteworthy thing about them is their untamed mop of fiery red hair, complete with a few strands at their part that fail to obey the natural laws of gravity. A shock of bone-white hair has grown in along their temple. A pair of sleepy gray eyes gaze out from below red bangs, their color striking against all the surrounding warm hues. Shadows cling adoringly to them, reluctant to surrender their grasp on one with the highfavour of Nocht, the Silent.
  5. They are wearing:
  6. a circlet of crystal thorns pressed too-tightly to their head
  7. a Glomdoring friendship bracelet which dangles loosely from their wrist
  8. a bright red poppy tucked behind their ear
  9. a burgundy belt of leather tightened firmly around their midriff
  10. a comfortable pair of deep gray trousers which fit them snugly
  11. a hooded coat of striking vermillion hues which hangs loosely from their form
  12. minty citrus incense beads pulled taut against their wrist
  13. Refined Boots of the Paladin which stop at their knees
  14. the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree affixed to their left middle finger.
  15.
  16. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Oracular Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon, "** a ripple of embarrassment ... the cookies are done! as many as could in such a short time ... curiosity - am welcome to join? **."
  17.
  18. The bright, bell-like voice of Elexia rings in your ear, "I have announced your arrival! You should feel free to come by."
  19.
  20. You have emoted: Gurashi dusts themselves off, attempting to make themselves as presentable as they possibly can.
  21.
  22. Hidden glade market.
  23. There is a heavy snowfall. A number of briar rose bushes grow at the edges of the glade, enclosing it in a thick, thorny ring that is difficult to traverse without injury. Rising from the leaves is a subtle fragrance, sweet as apples, which permeates the meadow with its rustic stalls and shelves that house various items for sale. Tall birch trees rise from among the briars, their whorled eyes overlooking the area like silent guardians. Wings humming, Miaei Wildbriar hovers in midair. Hackles risen, a fierce timberwolf prowls about here. Her olive skin glowing with beauty, Duethielle Landrennbenn sings to herself. Binky Tailsnap stands here, his soft nose and whiskers lifted thoughtfully. Reaching up as high as the eye can see looms the awesome presence of a living totem. A mature oak tree stands proudly here. Oracular Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon stands here, flanked by an indistinct entourage of ancestral spirits.
  24. You see a single exit leading west.
  25.
  26. You have emoted: Gurashi staggers a bit upon their arrival, then stands up perfectly straight, offering an awkward, excited wave.
  27.
  28. Binky Tailsnap's ears perk up with a sudden interest.
  29.
  30. You hands fly to your mouth as you give a short gasp of elation.
  31.
  32. You think to yourself: ** ah! a jolt of excitement - it is Binky! **.
  33.
  34. look Binky
  35. A mouse-kin of average height and gentle spirit, Binky Tailsnap looks about himself with bright and curious eyes. His fur is soft and well brushed, with whiskers extending like a fan from his small, pink nose. He wears a supple leather jerkin, its colour slightly darker brown, and matching breeches ending in tiny feet enclosed in a pair of well-worked moccasins. His hands bear remarkably agile and slender fingers, which are often clasped together or twirling his whiskers in thought. Draping behind him, a flexible, ropy tail curls from side to side to accentuate Binky's movements.
  36. Binky Tailsnap looks to be crushingly strong.
  37.
  38. Elexia flashes you a bright, welcoming smile and a dip of her head in greeting. "Well met, my friend, and welcome back to the Serenwilde," she chimes.
  39.
  40. Tilting his head to one side, Binky Tailsnap says to you, "You look different! I think?"
  41.
  42. You have emoted: Gurashi looks at Elexia, smiling brightly as they step closer to the faeling, looking down at their notepad to write: 'many thank yous for inviting me!' They watch their breath cloud in the air before them, trying to wave it away as they hold out the notepad.
  43.
  44. You blink.
  45.
  46. You blush furiously.
  47.
  48. You have emoted: Gurashi puffs their cheeks, suddenly rising to stand on their tip-toes, holding their hand flat in the air to indicate where they usually stand. Then, they relax, tucking the notepad under their right arm and holding both hands up to the top of their head, mimicking antennae.
  49.
  50. You have emoted: Gurashi wriggles their fingers to complete the illusion.
  51.
  52. Elexia smiles softly, bouncing up on the tips of her toes and then falling back down to her heels. "Oh! Oh it's rather cold," she says with a slight frown as she looks at your attire. "I have a blanket, if you have need of it," she offers with a dip of her head. At your demonstration, she looks to Binky Tailsnap and nods her head.
  53.
  54. You have emoted: Gurashi looks towards Elexia, mock-antennae fingers bending. They blow another cloud in the air and smile lightly.
  55.
  56. Blinking a few times and placing his little hands togther, Binky Tailsnap says, "Did you lose your antennae?"
  57.
  58. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly looks at Binky Tailsnap with a huff, looking down at their notepad and hurriedly scribbling in it. 'am so sorry that couldn't visit sooner, hope are not upset with! brought gifts though - you-cookies!' They smile. At the question, they shake their head. Then, they pause, considering it... they bob their head side to side.
  59.
  60. Elexia removes a violet woollen blanket.
  61.
  62. Using her wings to hover to an appropriate height to offer it, Elexia gives a violet woollen blanket to you.
  63.
  64. You have emoted: Gurashi blinks, taking the blanket gingerly and wrapping it about their shoulders, flashing Elexia a toothy grin.
  65.
  66. Elexia flashes a thumbs up in return, then steps back to give you some space with Binky Tailsnap, Duethielle Ladrennbenn, and Miaei Wildbriar.
  67.
  68. Binky Tailsnap reads the notepad, then looks up at $gurashi once more. "Me cookies??" His whiskers perk up.
  69.
  70. You have emoted: Gurashi puffs their cheeks at Elexia, encouraging the faeling to not wander too far. At the comment their face lights up again, and they begin to nod excitedly. Suddenly they drop to the ground, settling on their knees in the snow and digging through their bag.
  71.
  72. Elexia winks a violet eye at you, nodding in reply. She cranes her neck in an attempt to spy the goodies within the bag, her nose wrinkling as if attempting to catch their scent.
  73.
  74. You have emoted: After much sifting, Gurashi pulls out a small, still-steaming basket. As they open it up, they reveal four stacks of freshly baked cookies inside. Faces, all of them, though not all humanoid: a white-chocolate elfen, and a colorful faeling cookie, a cinnamon dusted kephera and finally, a white chocolate mousekin. They pull out the latter of the group and hold it out to Binky Tailsnap, grinning.
  75.
  76. Binky Tailsnap holds the cookie with both hands, bringing his nose close and inhaling deeply, his eyes closing with the motion.
  77.
  78. You think to yourself: ** suddenly, nervous - hope likes it? hope likes it! **.
  79.
  80. Elexia's eyebrows raise, and she smiles sweetly as she lays her hands upon her heart. "What gorgeous designs, so very thoughtful," she remarks with a little dip of her head. Her eyes glance from each of the cookies to their three real-life counterparts in the glade marketplace.
  81.
  82. You have emoted: Gurashi glances over their shoulders, sticking out the tip of their tongue as they grin sheepishly at the compliment. Their attention returns to Binky Tailsnap, and they furrow their brow hopefully.
  83.
  84. You have emoted: Gurashi writes: 'hope it is O-K? know that like chocolate!' They scribble, dusting off the page from fresh fallen snow as they offer it out again to the mousekin.
  85.
  86. Binky Tailsnap opens his eyes and looks at the cookie closely. "Why, it looks like me!" He beams at you and takes a large bite, removing the cookie's head. As he chews, he adds, "And I LOVE chocolate!" His voice rises to a squeak.
  87.
  88. You have emoted: Gurashi nods hurriedly, wringing their hands together. They pull out the other cookies as well, offering one of each of the others to the tinier being with a soft smile on their face.
  89.
  90. You beckon to Elexia.
  91.
  92. You have emoted: Gurashi offers up more cookies from the basket, waving the faeling over to partake.
  93.
  94. Elexia smiles brightly at Binky Tailsnap's reaction, nodding her head. "Gurashi never fails to bring plenty!" she says with a merry little laugh. She cants her head curiously at you, but steps forward. Her eyebrows raise and she smiles. "Oh! Thank you, you didn't have to!" she says with a grateful nod. Her steps leave little footprints in the fresh snow of the winter.
  95.
  96. You boggle at Elexia.
  97.
  98. With a rueful smile, Oracular Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon says, "I should have prepared something myself, in turn! I shall have to remember for next time."
  99. The strong breeze blows harder still, reaching gale force strength.
  100.
  101. You think to yourself: ** always bring plenty, yes! imagining faces, more more faces **.
  102.
  103. Handing them over one at a time, you give a mint chocolate elfen-inspired cookie to Oracular Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon.
  104.
  105. You beam broadly.
  106.
  107. Carefully, Binky Tailsnap pokes the kephera-shaped cinnamon cookie with his thumb. "You don't look like this anymore." He looks up at you, as if not entirely sure how to address $gurashi_him. "And is... is your voice okay?"
  108.
  109. Carefully, Binky Tailsnap pokes the kephera-shaped cinnamon cookie with his thumb. "You don't look like this anymore." He looks up at you, as if not entirely sure how to address you. "And is... is your voice okay?"
  110.
  111. Midnight shadows coalesce around a new day, and Mother Night embraces the land in utter darkness.
  112. It is now the 8th of Estar, 564 years after the Coming of Estarra.
  113. There are 9 days until the New Moon
  114.
  115. Elexia eagerly, perhaps a little too so, accepts the treats. "These truly are just immaculate..." she whispers in wonder. She takes a moment to look at each cookie, and then Binky Tailsnap, Miaei Wildbriar, and Duethielle Ladrennbenn in turn. She looks up at you, a question upon her face.
  116.
  117. The bright, bell-like voice of Elexia rings in your ear, "Let me know if you'd like any help explaining, but you seem very handy with your notepad, too!"
  118.
  119. You have emoted: Gurashi holds up a kephera-shaped cinnamon cookie to look at it thoughtfully. They tilt the kephera this way and that, then lower it back to their lap as they return Binky Tailsnap's gaze. They nod in agreement - no, they do not look like that anymore. Then, they look at Elexia, thoughtfully lifting the notepad to write...
  120.
  121. Elexia waits patiently, though she does a mint chocolate elfen-inspired cookie up to her mouth to sneak in a little nibble as she does so. A layer of snow has collected atop her butterfly wings, and she takes a moment to flutter them vigorously to dislodge it.
  122.
  123. Meanwhile, Binky Tailsnap lifts the miaei-shaped cookie upwards, and with a rustle, Miaei dashes out from her perch in the branches, grabs the cookie, and laughs, blowing a raspberry in your face before hiding herself among the the branches once more with her gift.
  124.
  125. You have emoted: 'Is just stuck,' Gurashi writes, brushing snow off of the page once again, puckering their lips in thought as they flip the notepad over to the very, very first page. Well-worn and smudged from being prodded at and referred to, they tap on the words: 'got sick lost voice, am O-K'. Their finger smudges the 'K' unintentionally, further ruining it as they nod.
  126.
  127. You glance askance.
  128.
  129. You blink.
  130.
  131. You give a horrified gasp.
  132.
  133. You have emoted: Gurashi leans back in surprise, looking up as the faeling appears and disappears again. They lean forward to look up at the tree, squinting, then offering a wave to the already-vanished faeling.
  134.
  135. A pixie-like grin comes to Elexia's face before she hides it once more beneath her hand. Her eyes dance in their attempt to watch the faeling's flight, but she is just a tad too slow to catch the speedy Miaei Wildbriar. She, too, offers a wave with her other hand.
  136.
  137. Still holding onto the other cookies, Binky Tailsnap gasps. "You are sick? You are stuck? Oh no!" His tail rises behind him. "Are you getting better??"
  138.
  139. Elexia's grin leaves quickly, and is replaced by a gentle frown. Her hands join in front of her, and she looks to you for confirmation.
  140.
  141. Binky Tailsnap reaches out to tug on Duethielle's arm. "Miss Duet, Gurashi's here to see you! And you have a cookie!" His voice rises to a high pitch again. She continues to hum aimlessly.
  142.
  143. LOOK DUET
  144. Duethielle Ladrennbenn is an elfen of radiant olive skin and snow white hair, which is kept out of the way in a long, drooping braid that reaches down to the back of her legs. She wears a light, airy tunic of pale rose and loose, billowing pants of midnight blue limned in silver. Her bare skin has been inscribed with emerald tattoos in spiralling shapes of plants, vines, birds and forest creatures, which run across her cheeks and down her neck, over the collarbone and onto her chest, her back, her lithe limbs, even to the very tips of her fingers and toes. She hums softly off and on, her clear blue eyes glittering with flashes of joy. A musical bracelet of blue and white violets hangs from one of her wrists.
  145. Duethielle Ladrennbenn looks to be crushingly strong.
  146.
  147. You have emoted: Gurashi jumps again, startled by Binky Tailsnap's exclamation. They flail a little, tapping on the word 'O-K' a dozen times, gritting their teeth. Then, they stop.
  148.
  149. You blink.
  150.
  151. You think to yourself: ... ** better? ** ...
  152.
  153. You have emoted: Gurashi follows Binky Tailsnap's gaze, looking at Duethielle Ladrennbenn, as if just now seeing her. Their expression goes strange, and they draw their lips into a tight, thin line, face flushing as they look down again at the notepad.
  154.
  155. You think to yourself: -- a sigh --.
  156.
  157. Elexia appears soothed by your confirmation that they are alright, but soon a hint of worry enters her eyes as she watches Duethielle Ladrennbenn's aimless humming. She looks to you, her lips pursing. She whispers, "Perhaps you might be able to reach her? If you go and talk to her..." She gives a small smile of encouragement as she flies up into the air to pat your arm.
  158.
  159. You glance askance at Elexia.
  160.
  161. You think to yourself: ... ** suddenly, intense guilt - should have gone and gotten voice back before tried to come, to tell - how can tell? will she read? growing worry - am teeny and not-like me and am not even the right me-me--.
  162.
  163. Binky Tailsnap places the kephera cookie into one of Duethielle's hands, and the elfen cookie into her other hand. Her fingers close over them both as she continues humming and swaying back and forth vaguely.
  164.
  165. Placing his hands on his hips, Binky Tailsnap exclaims, "She took them at least!!"
  166.
  167. Elexia gives your arm another gentle pat, then nods towards Duethielle Ladrennbenn. "...Ah, dear me, I shouldn't press, perhaps..." she says quietly, with a rueful smile as she flutters back - but, remaining near.
  168.
  169. Elexia smiles softly.
  170.
  171. You have emoted: Gurashi watches Binky Tailsnap, their hands still gripping the notepad tight. Then, they nod and smile, watching the elfen take the cookie in hand and hold it idly.
  172.
  173. You think to yourself: ... ** washes of gray, deeper guilt - regret so fiercely tangible it almost has its own voice: cannot even -sing- for her to show so am just any other persons to **.
  174.
  175. Binky Tailsnap turns back towards you, his whiskers perking and ears twitching. "Um... um you wrote about the Liar? Said that they had a new name?" His eyes glitter with eager curiosity.
  176.
  177. Llani arrives, following Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic.
  178.
  179. Jolanthe curtseys gracefully.
  180.
  181. You have emoted: Gurashi watches Duethielle Ladrennbenn again for a moment before returning their gaze to Binky Tailsnap, face lighting up. Hurriedly they begin to write: 'yes! they have their very own name! and a house!' They sway side to side excitedly, 'it has a kitchen! and they can do magics with letters to make them go from HERE to THERE like,' they snap their fingers to demonstrate.
  182.
  183. You see the following people here:
  184. Llani, Jolanthe, Elexia, Gurashi.
  185.
  186. You blink.
  187.
  188. You face lights up as you smile brightly at Jolanthe.
  189.
  190. You face lights up as you smile brightly at Llani.
  191.
  192. Llani curtseys gracefully before you.
  193.
  194. You have emoted: Gurashi timidly raises a hand to wave.
  195.
  196. Llani hugs Elexia compassionately.
  197.
  198. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to you, "Greetings. Don't mind us - just checking in."
  199.
  200. Jolanthe hugs Elexia compassionately.
  201.
  202. Elexia smiles brightly at Llani and Jolanthe arrive. She exchanges an embrace with each of them, saying, "Hello hello!"
  203.
  204. You think to yourself: ** sudden concern - did bring enough? **.
  205.
  206. You have emoted: Gurashi looks down into the basket, poking through the confections before pulling some out.
  207.
  208. You give a mint chocolate elfen-inspired cookie to Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic.
  209.
  210. Jolanthe puts her nose over a mint chocolate elfen-inspired cookie and inhales.
  211.
  212. Dark astral currents flow together and congeal into a mass of tentacles.
  213. Jolanthe turns a crank on the handle of a floral parasol of pink and lavender silks, and the ribs flare open as the umbrella spins rapidly.
  214. A floral parasol of pink and lavender silks coughs up bursts of steam and beams of holy light that shoot at a mass of tentacles.
  215. Jolanthe has scored a CRITICAL hit!
  216. The Medallion of Harmony worn by Jolanthe sends forth a tempest of pale light which renders a mass of tentacles inert and unmoving.
  217.
  218. Jolanthe nods solemnly.
  219.
  220. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says, "A charming little bit of patisserie."
  221.
  222. You stare at Jolanthe, eyes wide.
  223.
  224. You suddenly scoop up the corpse of a mass of tentacles.
  225.
  226. You stare at the corpse of a mass of tentacles, eyes wide.
  227.
  228. Binky Tailsnap gives a horrified gasp.
  229.
  230. You drop the corpse of a mass of tentacles.
  231.
  232. You flail about helplessly.
  233.
  234. You suddenly scoop up the corpse of a mass of tentacles.
  235.
  236. You give a horrified gasp.
  237.
  238. You begin to wield the corpse of a mass of tentacles in your right hand.
  239.
  240. You hurl the corpse of a mass of tentacles west.
  241.
  242. You have emoted: Gurashi stares at the corpse as they gather it up, then let out a silent noise of surprise, hurling the corpse away.
  243.
  244. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says, "Oh, and sorry about the thralls. I am afraid I am overly used to them now."
  245.
  246. Perhaps reminded of her own cookies from this additional generosity, Elexia takes a nibble more from her elfen cookie. At the appearance of the mass of tentacles, she flinches briefly, but then smiles uneasily at Jolanthe. "I don't know if I"ll ever grow used to those things..." she says with a shake of her head. "You truly are remarkable to put up with them with such ease. But yes, isn't this a wonderful bake?"
  247.
  248. You have emoted: Gurashi leaps to their feet as they hurl the corpse far, far away, then begin to brush their hands on their pants in distress.
  249.
  250. "What is that???" Binky Tailsnap squeaks.
  251.
  252. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to Binky Tailsnap, "A sign of the times. I will keep us safe - it's okay."
  253.
  254. Jolanthe quickly devours a mint chocolate elfen-inspired cookie.
  255.
  256. Jolanthe hums a happy tune.
  257.
  258. You have emoted: Gurashi puffs their cheeks, looking down and writing: 'are going to save the world!' They nod, pointing at the other fate-touched gathered. 'eventually.'
  259.
  260. Binky Tailsnap's whiskers twitch and tremble. He rubs his hands together, blinking towards the west. Finally, he breathes out and turns back to you. He asks, "What is their name? Do they ever think about visiting... you know... um, here? Again?"
  261.
  262. The constant stream of snow develops into a full snowstorm, obscuring the world in a blanket of white.
  263.
  264. You blink.
  265.
  266. Elexia's uneasy smile returns to her gentle one as she drifts through the air. As the wind and snow begin to pick up in intensity, she falls slowly to the snow-covered ground below before she is knocked down to it by way of the weather.
  267.
  268. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a little gasp, then begins to write: 'aschwar! friend aschwar!! and am hoping can bring on visit soon yes!' They smile. 'it is hard to be a priest of Someone important! keeps super busy, think! even -I- do not get to see them so often.' They glance aside, pursing their lips and writing again. 'but think seeing you would make them so happy! if ever want to visit let me know i can take you to them!' The smile.
  269.
  270. You think to yourself: ** continued embarrassment - sudden longing for antennae, four arms, easier cooking times - Tiso, please **.
  271.
  272. Duethielle Ladrennbenn hums softly to herself. Abstractedly, she lifts a hand and brings the elfen cookie to her mouth. She bites down, chewing distractedly on the nose portion of the treat.
  273.
  274. Elexia's violet eyes are drawn to Duethielle Ladrennbenn as the elfen takes a bite of her cookie. Her gaze lingers, but then returns to Binky Tailsnap and you. She takes another bite of her own cookie, only the lower-half remaining of the little elfen treat.
  275.
  276. Binky Tailsnap claps his little hands together and brushes the snow off the shelves. "Oh I'm so glad! I still have some of their stuff here." You see mouldy lumps of what might've been cookies sitting enshrine on one of the newly snow-cleared shelves.
  277.
  278. Jolanthe hides a grin behind her hand.
  279.
  280. Elexia's eyes scan over the shelf of expired cookies, and she looks down at her own treat briefly, as if to compare. She smiles gently.
  281.
  282. You have emoted: Gurashi's gaze unintentionally drifts to the elfen as she begins to eat, then returns to Binky Tailsnap, eyes widening as they spot the now-possibly-alive clumps on the snow-covered shelves. They smile and nod, tilting their head. They look down at the notepad and flip the final page, leaving just one fresh sheet to fill. They write over the bumpy page, their words slightly crooked: 'will see that can come visit soon? super soon! promise 100%!'
  283.
  284. You think to yourself: ** remembering own promise - to see soon - won't stop visiting ... but, days become weeks, then months, then years ... stupid time **.
  285.
  286. Binky Tailsnap claps his hands together merrily.
  287.
  288. Elexia beams brightly, at both the message, but also Binky Tailsnap's response.
  289.
  290. Binky Tailsnap squats down and writes with his finger in the snow in front of the mouldy cookie shelf. He spells out 'a-s-c-h-w-a-r', decorated with little curlicues. His eyes are bright with excitement.
  291.
  292. The corners of your mouth turn up as you grin mischievously.
  293.
  294. You nod your head emphatically.
  295.
  296. Having finished the cookie of her own face, Duethielle Ladrennbenn moves on to the other cookie, nibbling at the antennae of the kephera.
  297.
  298. You think to yourself: ** continues washes of gray, a heavy, sinking feeling - why do feel so bad, do not want to feel so bad - am finally -here- but **.
  299.
  300. You think to yourself: -- a firm squeeze --.
  301.
  302. Elexia finishes her own little elfen cookie in turn. She takes a moment to brush away additional crumbs from her person. She shuffles her feet lightly, shaking away a bit of the snow.
  303.
  304. Dark astral currents flow together and congeal into a mass of tentacles.
  305. Dark astral currents flow together and congeal into a giant dismembered tongue.
  306. Jolanthe turns a crank on the handle of a floral parasol of pink and lavender silks, and the ribs flare open as the umbrella spins rapidly.
  307. A floral parasol of pink and lavender silks coughs up bursts of steam and beams of holy light that shoot at a mass of tentacles.
  308. Jolanthe has scored a CRITICAL hit!
  309. The Medallion of Harmony worn by Jolanthe sends forth a tempest of pale light which renders a mass of tentacles inert and unmoving.
  310. Jolanthe picks up the corpse of a mass of tentacles.
  311. Jolanthe picks up the corpse of a giant dismembered tongue.
  312.
  313. Binky Tailsnap finishes his exuberant homage in the snow and stands up straight, brushing icy flakes from his hands. He beams "I will---Ahhhhhhhh!!!"
  314.
  315. Binky Tailsnap hides his face in his little hands.
  316.
  317. Jolanthe sways back and forth.
  318.
  319. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says, "Might be better for me to depart - don't want to get too disruptive."
  320.
  321. You have emoted: Gurashi kicks at one of the corpses after it has been struck down, their eyes wide in disbelief.
  322.
  323. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to you, "Thank you for the cookie, though - and continue to have a lovely visit."
  324.
  325. Binky Tailsnap peeks out from between his fingers, blinking. "No no. I'm just a scaredy-kin! I'm sorry!"
  326.
  327. You have emoted: Gurashi flashes Jolanthe a grateful, disbelieving smile and a wave.
  328.
  329. You flail about helplessly.
  330.
  331. Elexia winces slightly at the appearance of the tentacles, but smiles reassuringly at Jolanthe. "Oh, sister, I wouldn't want you to feel isolated because you have come to bear a Seal. Although the manifestations are... startling... You should be proud of what you have accomplished," she says softly.
  332.
  333. You nod your head at Jolanthe.
  334.
  335. You ponder the situation.
  336.
  337. Jolanthe pauses as she rises to leave, tugging at her hair thoughtfully.
  338.
  339. From somewhere in the trees, the voice of Miaei Wildbriar calls out, "Yeah! A big, tiny, scaredy-kin! Hah!"
  340.
  341. With a shake of her head, Oracular Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon says to Binky Tailsnap, "Oh, not at all, Binky. They *are* rather frightening, aren't they? Oh..."
  342.
  343. You stare blankly into space.
  344.
  345. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  346.
  347. Elexia looks up into the trees, searching for the source of the teasing faeling voice.
  348.
  349. You have emoted: Gurashi slowly writes: 'are piece of a Soulless God - if were not afraid of them would be braver than fate-touched peoples that know.' They offer the notepad to Binky Tailsnap reassuringly.
  350.
  351. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to Binky Tailsnap, "We all have our own obstacles to overcome - thank you for being willing to bear with me."
  352.
  353. Elexia smiles softly at Jolanthe.
  354.
  355. "I would kick them, and then punch them, like ha! And hah!" Miaei's voice echoes from above, though the only hints of her physical presence are the rustling of leaves every time she cried, "Hah!"
  356.
  357. You have emoted: Gurashi stares up into the trees, blinking slowly as bits of snow and dried foliage come raining down.
  358.
  359. The corners of Jolanthe's mouth turn up as she grins mischeviously.
  360.
  361. Binky Tailsnap removes his little hands from his face, whiskers twitching. "Don't mind Miaei." He shakes his head. "She doesn't do well with people."
  362.
  363. You blink.
  364.
  365. You think to yourself: ** a recollection of a similar comment - refusing to go to the SOlstice Festival, because is naughty **.
  366.
  367. You think to yourself: -- another gentler squeeze --.
  368.
  369. You shake your head.
  370.
  371. Seeing that Binky Tailsnap's disposition has not soured from Miaei Wildbriar's teasing, Elexia allows a bit of amusement to creep into her smile. "She is... energetic, certainly. Rather reminds me of a pixie. She has the speed of some of my own faeling kin!" she chuckles lightly. Then, she grows sober once more. "But, the Ascension will be done with soon, and those nasty creatures will be gone as well..."
  372.
  373. You have emoted: Gurashi looks down at their notepad, the back of the last page already a third of the way filled. They smile slightly, turning their attention from the trees again to Binky Tailsnap, finally to Elexia, head bobbing side to side.
  374.
  375. Binky Tailsnap smiles at Elexia, and then he turns to Jolanthe. With an excited squeak, he cries, "Steward Jolanthe will become a True Ascendant and show the Soulless their place!" He grabs his tail, which he has wound about himself, nodding.
  376.
  377. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly moves in their spot, taking the blanket and shaking it free of the snow that had begun to accumulate. They swing their mandolin forward to make sure it too is free of the snow, plucking a string idly as they finish.
  378.
  379. You face lights up as you smile brightly at Binky Tailsnap.
  380.
  381. Elexia nods her head to Binky Tailsnap in vigorous agreement. "I am rooting for her!" she says as she raises a fist in the air in jubilee. She flashes a grin at Jolanthe, winking a violet eye.
  382.
  383. Jolanthe slowly blinks, her mouth quirking into a quiet smile as she muses, "At the least, I'll be there to keep the way clear and defend my fellow Sealbearers in kind."
  384.
  385. You have emoted: Gurashi continues to hold their smile, attention drifting from person to person as each voice speaks out in turn. They take the blanket and once again drape it over the top of their head, shifting where they sit. The snow beneath them has mostly melted, leaving them to sit on soggy earth.
  386.
  387. Duethielle Ladrennbenn's gaze turns to you with the plucking of the mandolin string. Her eyes are blue, reflective. She stares at you for a long time as the others speak, unmoving.
  388.
  389. Dark astral currents flow together and congeal into a mound of gibbering eyeballs.
  390. A floral parasol of pink and lavender silks coughs up bursts of steam and beams of holy light that shoot at a mound of gibbering eyeballs.
  391. The Medallion of Harmony worn by Jolanthe sends forth a tempest of pale light which renders a mound of gibbering eyeballs inert and unmoving.
  392. Jolanthe picks up the corpse of a mound of gibbering eyeballs.
  393.
  394. Binky Tailsnap squeaks but does not scream or hide his face this time. He breathes rapidly, clutching his tail.
  395.
  396. Elexia flashes Binky Tailsnap an encouraging smile, then her pointed ears twitch as she listens to your song. She sways gently in tune with the music. As a cold wind blows by, she pulls a fur-lined mantle of frost closer about her person.
  397.
  398. A final few flashes light up the Astral Plane before relative peace descends again, leaving the Free Collective of Serenwilde victorious in the Wild Nodes event.
  399.
  400. (Glomdoring): Viravain says, "Yay Seren!"
  401.
  402. (clan): Esei says, "."
  403. (clan): You say, "."
  404. (clan): Esei says, "LOL."
  405. (clan): You say, "Or she did."
  406. (clan): Xenthos says, "Gurashi."
  407. (clan): Esei says, "*covers eyes*."
  408. (clan): Xenthos says, "What are you doing."
  409.
  410. (Glomdoring): Snald (from the Aetherways) says, "I regret that it wasn't the Glomdoring, Mistress."
  411.
  412. (Glomdoring): Viravain says, "Perhaps now, they'll bear the fruits of their own labours, rather than crawling across this land brimming with fetid hope and wasted energies."
  413.
  414. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a strangled noise of surprise as the eyeballs appear from nowhere, quickly shuffling to their feet to get out of the way. They cast a quick glance at Binky Tailsnap, then at Duethielle Ladrennbenn, catching the elfen's gaze. Just as quickly, the color leaves their face, and suddenly they find themselves holding the mandolin stiffly, as if listening to something unseen.
  415.
  416. Jolanthe smiles to herself as she more furtively hides the mound of eyeballs within her grasp, ensuring they won't be the eyes claiming further attention.
  417.
  418. You think to yourself: ** at first, a jolt of white-hot fear. then, gray - solid flat washes of gray, trying to blot out growing panic **.
  419.
  420. (Glomdoring): Xenthos says, "Mm. And, one must not forget, welcoming Magnagora with open arms."
  421.
  422. Duethielle Ladrennbenn continues to stare at you fixedly with her blue eyes. A vague smile plays upon her lips. She lifts the rest of the kephera cookie and eats it in one bite.
  423.
  424. (Glomdoring): Viravain says, "Mm. The Summer of Serenwilde wafts with the reek of taint. Fitting, I suppose."
  425.
  426. Dark astral currents flow together and congeal into a mound of gibbering eyeballs.
  427. A floral parasol of pink and lavender silks coughs up bursts of steam and beams of holy light that shoot at a mound of gibbering eyeballs.
  428. Jolanthe picks up the corpse of a mound of gibbering eyeballs.
  429.
  430. Binky Tailsnap edges away from Jolanthe slightly.
  431.
  432. You have emoted: Gurashi inhales, then exhales, taking the mandolin and raising it to hold it close to their chest, as if preparing to play. They rest one hand around the neck, the other cradling the body, testing another string, the note surprisingly loud and clear thanks to the dampening of the snow.
  433.
  434. Suddenly, Duethielle Ladrennbenn says, "Hi."
  435.
  436. You have emoted: Gurashi opens their mouth as if to speak, but no words come out. Instead, they puff their cheeks and pluck another string, smiling sadly.
  437.
  438. Elexia's pointed ears twitch, and she glances over to Duethielle Ladrennbenn. Then, her eyes return to you. The faeling lightly steps from one foot, to the other, perhaps in an attempt to warm herself.
  439.
  440. You think to yourself: ** red fishes - red fishes, be calm, be still **.
  441.
  442. You think to yourself: -- growing apprehension --.
  443.
  444. You think to yourself: -- un...safe? --.
  445.
  446. Binky Tailsnap exclaims to Duethielle Ladrennbenn, "Duet, did you like the cookies? Gurashi made them just for us! I gave you the two of them because-" He blinks, whiskers twitching. "Because I thought you might like them!"
  447.
  448. Duethielle Ladrennbenn stares fixedly at you, a small smile on her lips.
  449.
  450. You have emoted: Gurashi doesn't look to Binky Tailsnap, even as they speak, still bearing the same sad smile. They look down at the instrument, holding it awkwardly, as if it were their first time. Their expression twists in concentration, resting their fingers against the frets to test a chord, which plays sour and flat. They huff and adjust their hold, trying again, producing a not-unpleasant sounding chord. Their relief is palpable, and suddenly they flash a toothy grin at Duethielle Ladrennbenn, bobbing their head side to side.
  451.
  452. Dark astral currents flow together and congeal into a giant dismembered tongue.
  453. Dark astral currents flow together and congeal into a giant dismembered tongue.
  454. Jolanthe turns a crank on the handle of a floral parasol of pink and lavender silks, and the ribs flare open as the umbrella spins rapidly.
  455. A floral parasol of pink and lavender silks coughs up bursts of steam and beams of holy light that shoot at a giant dismembered tongue.
  456. Jolanthe has scored a CRITICAL hit!
  457.
  458. You think to yourself: ** as soon as the instrument is held - forceful static, buzzing negation --.
  459.
  460. Elexia closes her eyes, swaying gently to the tune of the music as she does so. Her crimson and purple wings fan open and closed rhythmically.
  461.
  462. Jolanthe quickly snatches up the new eldritch abominations almost as quickly as they appear, more intent and curious to listen and appearing vaguely annoyed.
  463.
  464. Duethielle Ladrennbenn squats down, and then she sits bodily in the snow. Taking the single chord from you, she hums. It's an early morning kind of tune. She simply sits in the snow, her long braid blending in with the ground, hands on her knees, humming, her eyes still on you.
  465.
  466. You think to yourself: ** a bit of discourse - desperate, pulling against something unseen **.
  467.
  468. Whispering, whiskers twitching, Binky Tailsnap says to Jolanthe, "What do you DO with them?"
  469.
  470. You have emoted: Gurashi's smile falters a little, and they look at Duethielle Ladrennbenn as she drops down to sit. They play another chord, though it is clear that there is great effort for them in doing so, beads of sweat appearing on their forehead. They strum another chord, pluck another string. An attempt to follow along with the elfen's humming.
  471.
  472. In a low whisper that almost fades to the settling of the snow, Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to Binky Tailsnap, "I tend to bring them to Lady Maylea, to be unravelled and reflowered into fruits."
  473.
  474. You think to yourself: -- louder static and forceful negation - chittering and chattering, protest --.
  475.
  476. Elexia smiles softly at Jolanthe's answer, her hand reaching up near a translucent crystal bindi upon her forehead. She stops just short of touching it, instead allowing the prismatic colours to dance through her fingers before she lowers her hand again.
  477.
  478. Ears perking, Binky Tailsnap says to Jolanthe, "I like fruit too! Though... fruit from those things..." He shudders. "Ugh..."
  479.
  480. Duethielle Ladrennbenn closes her eyes and hums some more, swaying back and forth. As the snow covers her body, she appears like an olive tree in winter. Here and there, her tattoos stand out, half obscured in white.
  481.
  482. You think to yourself: ** no, no - just a little bit, just one song yes -please-- **.
  483.
  484. Remaining at the lowest of whispers, Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to Binky Tailsnap, "I understand, but there is great craft in making use of all which we may claim - to bring the brightest life back from such is a true labour, and certainly worth the ethic of the Wilde's directives."
  485.
  486. With a bow of her head, her own voice hushed, Oracular Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon says, "A wonderful sentiment, sister-mine."
  487.
  488. You have emoted: Gurashi looks away from Duethielle Ladrennbenn just long enough to play another awkward chord. A sour note is quickly corrected, and they bounce a little where they stand, bobbing their head side to side in embarrassment.
  489.
  490. You think to yourself: -- sharp negation - it is unsafe no no --.
  491.
  492. You think to yourself: ** but isn't **.
  493.
  494. You think to yourself: -- is --.
  495.
  496. You have emoted: Gurashi pauses, the song falling silent as they curl a finger around the lowest string, plucking it once, twice, trying to keep the silence from settling in too deeply.
  497.
  498. Duethielle Ladrennbenn stands up and points a finger directly at your chest. Her song cuts off as the snow slides down her body. "I can see you in there." Her voice is vague, dreamy.
  499.
  500. You have emoted: Gurashi freezes, blinking.
  501.
  502. Jolanthe tilts her head curiously.
  503.
  504. Elexia looks over to Duethielle Ladrennbenn and you, her pointed ears twitching. She gives a quiet, satisfied nod, a smile playing upon her lips.
  505. You see a deer wander through a clearing in the distance.
  506.
  507. Llani is enveloped in translucent fire for a moment and is gone, her soul safe until she returns to Lusternia.
  508.
  509. You have emoted: Gurashi lifts their gaze back to Duethielle Ladrennbenn, surprised... They tentatively lift the hand gripping the neck of the instrument to point at themselves, furrowing their brow.
  510.
  511. The body of Forestwalker Llani Myeras appears in a flash and her soul descends to fill it, causing the previously expressionless face to fill with emotion.
  512.
  513. "I'm sorry!" Llani says with a blush.
  514.
  515. Elexia smiles brightly at Llani, dipping her head.
  516.
  517. Duethielle Ladrennbenn continues pointing at you, the bracelet gleaming on her wrist. "I like your music." She hums the tune she had hummed before. "And bumblebees." She breaks into a bright smile.
  518.
  519. Elexia's eyes look to the bracelet on Duethielle Ladrennbenn's wrist, then at you. A grin spreads from her ear-to-pointed-ear. She reclines in the glade, casting her eyes away from the pair.
  520.
  521. You have emoted: Gurashi's gray eyes widen, then become shiny as they continues to stare at Duethielle Ladrennbenn. Their mouth pulls into a thin line again, and they unintentionally bunch their shoulders, pulling their hand away from their chest to look at their gloved hand in thought. Their hand clenches into a fist shortly after, and they exhale, suddenly looking at Duethielle Ladrennbenn with a wide, toothy grin, nodding.
  522.
  523. The perception of time momentarily slows to a fraction as Lachesis studies the Tapestry of Fate, carefully measuring each strand before making notations in a great tome. Time rushes forward as the memory fades, yet the feeling remains that your history in Lusternia is recorded in the great annals of fate, for better or for worse.
  524.
  525. Duethielle Ladrennbenn lowers her arm. Apparently having spoken what she intended, she clasps her hands again, humming and staring at you happily.
  526.
  527. You have emoted: Gurashi exhales loudly, looking... relieved. Suddenly, they grip the mandolin with renewed vigor, and start to -try- to play again. A terrible sounding note causes them to jump in place, laughing in silence, before they manage to fumble out a tune familiar to those gathered: the Lusternian 'happy birthday' song.
  528.
  529. You have emoted: As they finish Gurashi flashes another cheesy grin, giving the neck of the instrument a squeeze.
  530.
  531. You think to yourself: -- a deafening, buzzing static carries on the entirety of the melody and lingers long after - discontent--.
  532.
  533. You think to yourself: ** ripples of ... relief - a small victory - a Gurashi victory **.
  534.
  535. Duethielle Ladrennbenn claps merrily despite the initial jarring note. She laughs, before she says, "I must tell my wife..." She laughs and laugh, clapping. "That you are back again!"
  536.
  537. Binky Tailsnap looks to Duethielle, his eyes concerned. "Did you find her, Duet?" His whiskers twitch uncertainly, "Is that why you were gone... so long?"
  538.
  539. You have emoted: Gurashi's head tilts to the side, and they smile brightly, though their eyes register concern at the very mention. They nod several times, glancing at Binky Tailsnap for clarification.
  540.
  541. You tilt your head and listen intently to Binky Tailsnap.
  542.
  543. You have emoted: Gurashi's attention returns to Duethielle Ladrennbenn, head tilting to the side.
  544.
  545. Although is looking away, Elexia watches from the corner of her eye. A troubled expression washes over her features, though she doesn't make a sound. She idly traces the outline of a vine tattoo on the back of her right hand with her left hand's finger. Then, the troubled look turns to confusion.
  546.
  547. Duethielle Ladrennbenn hums to herself, twirling and hugging herself before planting a small kiss on your cheek, her lips lingering. Then she repeats only, "I must find her and tell her..." Already, you can see her eyes clouding, as if she were seeing something not entirely here. She hums, swaying, turning away.
  548.
  549. Binky Tailsnap tugs urgently on Duethielle Ladrennbenn's sleeve.
  550.
  551. Binky Tailsnap exclaims, "Duet!!"
  552.
  553. Elexia's head snaps towards Duethielle Ladrennbenn and Binky Tailsnap, alarm flaring in her eyes at Binky Tailsnap's urgency.
  554.
  555. Jolanthe slowly blinks, visibly confused by the proceedings but still intent to remain sentry.
  556.
  557. You have emoted: Gurashi starts to laugh again, then is promptly kissed, turning bright shades of pink, their hand clapping to their face as they nearly drop their instrument. They blink, looking at Duethielle Ladrennbenn in concern as the elfen's eyes start to glaze over. They look down at Binky Tailsnap, then back up at Duet, exhaling noisily and gently plucking the lowest string again.
  558.
  559. You think to yourself: ** waves of concern **.
  560.
  561. Elexia's brow furrows as her pointed ear twitches at the note that sails through the air. She watches Duethielle Ladrennbenn with concern.
  562.
  563. Binky Tailsnap plants his little hands on his hips, frowning. "She's gone, Duet." He huffs, causing his whiskers to bend. "Remember that! Don't you be gone too!" He runs up to her and... jabs a finger into Duethielle's side. But she simply hums and sways.
  564.
  565. You stare blankly at Binky Tailsnap.
  566.
  567. You think to yourself: ** gone? **.
  568.
  569. Sorrow covers Elexia's visage as she rises suddenly to her feet, disturbing some of the snow which has collected upon her person. "Duethielle..." she whispers quietly as she joins her hands in front of her. She looks to you, frowning.
  570.
  571. You have emoted: Gurashi's expression settles into one of worry, and they find themselves staring at Duethielle Ladrennbenn once more, gripping their instrument tight as they watch, no longer playing. They cautiously step forward towards Binky Tailsnap and the elfen, leaning forward to timidly wave a hand before her face before looking at the mousekin, worried.
  572.
  573. Jolanthe cants her head to the side as her expression becomes unreadable, eyes dimming briefly and distant before focus returns to them.
  574.
  575. You think to yourself: -- the noise begins to die down... down - gone? gone, left - partner ... gone ... alone, alone alone so alone --.
  576.
  577. You think to yourself: ... ** muted gray washes of sympathy ** ...
  578.
  579. Binky Tailsnap frowns. "Duet'll be back," he promises. "She's just..." He looks up at you. "She'll be back later. And then I'll get her something to eat!" He nods, looking encouraging. "Really! And she recognised you!"
  580.
  581. Elexia's alarmed expression fades, replaced by a small smile. "I told you that she would," she says, a bit of playfulness in her tone. "Whether a shard of Keph, or bearing the form of a human, you are unmistakable, Gurashi." Her eyes twinkle with merriment.
  582.
  583. You have emoted: Gurashi shakes their head slowly, as if to try and offer Binky Tailsnap some reassurance. They lower themselves to crouch beside the mousekin and frown, writing hurriedly: 'where does she go? and' They start to write more, but pause, frowning.
  584.
  585. You blush at Elexia furiously.
  586.
  587. Jolanthe purses her lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as she carefully gathers her thoughts.
  588.
  589. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic asks Binky Tailsnap, "Binky, I might try to explain, if you'd like? And you might correct me where and when I am wrong, to your understanding?"
  590.
  591. Binky Tailsnap shakes his head. "I don't really know." He pauses, clasping his little hands together. "I don't really understand."
  592.
  593. Jolanthe tugs her chin thoughtfully.
  594.
  595. Elexia frowns lightly, slowly nodding in understanding. "I see..." she murmurs with a light shake of her head.
  596.
  597. You have emoted: Gurashi watches Binky Tailsnap as the little mousekin struggles to find words to explain what's happened. Their attention rises to Jolanthe after she speaks, surprised.
  598.
  599. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to Binky Tailsnap, "Well, the forests always have a thinner veil between the ethereal and the prime - the physical and the spirit. Some that are born here and live thusly in the wood become better attuned to one or the other. I believe our Duethielle is very closely attuned to the spirits."
  600.
  601. You stare at Jolanthe, eyes wide.
  602.
  603. You think to yourself: ** gone **.
  604.
  605. You think to yourself: -- softer, sadder - gone --.
  606.
  607. You think to yourself: -- ... gone... gone ... all alone now ... --
  608.
  609. Elexia considers Jolanthe's words, resting her chin atop her hand. Her wings flex in and out repeatedly with her musing.
  610.
  611. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to Binky Tailsnap, "So she is inclined to visit upon her former wife as best she can - as seems her prerogative, and commune thus as she does here with us. I think her ability to see Gurashi's very spirit supports this."
  612.
  613. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic asks you, "That is what it felt like, wouldn't you say?"
  614.
  615. You have emoted: Gurashi's gaze drops from Jolanthe to the ground... then drifts back to Binky Tailsnap. They frown, not immediately answering her question.
  616.
  617. Binky Tailsnap thinks carefully. "Duet tells me her wife isn't dead." His whiskers twitch. "But she is most definitely gone. So... Maybe Duet does commune with the spirits? But?" He shakes his head, voice squeaking. "I don't want to tell her story wrong!!"
  618.
  619. Jolanthe nods solemnly.
  620.
  621. You have emoted: Gurashi looks at Binky Tailsnap suddenly at this.
  622.
  623. You think to yourself: ** remembering Khep's voice: 'If you hear the story from anywhere else it might not...' **.
  624.
  625. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to Binky Tailsnap, "I can't profess to knowing concretely either - but it appears this way to me. I just express it confidently, because that has become my habit."
  626.
  627. You think to yourself: -- sad, soft, longing --.
  628.
  629. Elexia slowly nods her understanding. "Of course, only she can tell us, if and when she is one day ready," she says softly. She turns to you, her voice rising to a normal volume as she chimes, "But, I think it would be good for you to visit more often! She seems to very much enjoy your presence, Gurashi." She smiles brightly.
  630.
  631. You have emoted: Gurashi looks down at the notepad again, then at Binky Tailsnap, frowning: 'did ever meet her? has name?' They scribble this in neat and small, the page now little more than half filled with words.
  632.
  633. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says, "I also think if she tends to come back soon enough, she can manage her path among the spirits pretty well - though there is always some element of danger there. I would be unsure of how to help her myself, outside of watching her corporeal form."
  634.
  635. You glance askance at Jolanthe.
  636.
  637. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to Binky Tailsnap, "Nonetheless, as her friend, I hope such a perspective can perhaps make this circumstance feel a little more relatable. She might not fully understand what she experiences either."
  638.
  639. You glance askance at Elexia.
  640.
  641. Jolanthe tilts her head curiously at you, offering only a soft "Hmm?" in your direction.
  642.
  643. You have emoted: Gurashi's attention drifts all around the clearing, looking from face to face, to Duethielle Ladrennbenn, to Elexia, squeezing their notepad tight.
  644.
  645. Elexia looks to you, then shakes her head lightly. "I didn't have the opportunity to meet her wife myself," she says as she rubs one of her arms with the opposite hand. Her eyes look down to the snow-covered ground for a moment. "But... I think she will come back. She will," she affirms, nodding as she gives you a hopeful smile.
  646.
  647. Binky Tailsnap looks extremely uncomfortable. "Ummm." He shakes his head. "I feel like I've already said too much." He turns to you, "But she really does like you lots! She comes back when you play your tunes, Gurashi! She wrote you a letter, remember? That was neat, even though I had to finish it for her!"
  648.
  649. You blush furiously.
  650.
  651. You fret over everything that might go wrong.
  652.
  653. You think to yourself: ** oh - asked too much oh no **.
  654.
  655. Elexia nods her head in vigorous agreement with Binky Tailsnap.
  656.
  657. Jolanthe nods solemnly.
  658.
  659. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says, "So it sounds."
  660.
  661. You have emoted: Gurashi quickly writes: 'sorry did not mean to make say more than wanted or could'. They frown and dust off the page, the ink smearing from the snowflakes that continuously patter the page. They nod at the mention of the letter, flashing another weak smile and adding: 'was a great letter -thank you for sending'.
  662.
  663. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to Binky Tailsnap, "If all else fails, you can blame me for being presumptuous."
  664.
  665. Holding his tail with both hands again, Binky Tailsnap says to you, "Please bring Aschwar soon, would you?"
  666.
  667. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a soft little gasp, then nods several times over, frowning and writing: 'promise will! promise!'
  668.
  669. You nod your head emphatically.
  670.
  671. You nod your head at Binky Tailsnap.
  672.
  673. Elexia dips her head lightly as she says, "You are worried, Gurashi, that is all... And Jolanthe, dear sister, you are trying to help." She gives each a smile of encouragement. She takes a moment to examine a white chocolate mousekin-shaped cookie, her smile playful. "You will come again soon, won't you? And with Aschwar, if you can?" she says, eyes flicking up from the confection to you.
  674.
  675. From through the snow covered branches, Miaei yells, "Yeah, so Binky can stare at them and not say anything and worship their cookies!"
  676.
  677. Binky Tailsnap covers his face with his little hands.
  678.
  679. You have emoted: Gurashi looks up into the branches, smiling lightly.
  680.
  681. Dark astral currents flow together and congeal into a giant dismembered tongue.
  682. Jolanthe turns a crank on the handle of a floral parasol of pink and lavender silks, and the ribs flare open as the umbrella spins rapidly.
  683. A floral parasol of pink and lavender silks coughs up bursts of steam and beams of holy light that shoot at a giant dismembered tongue.
  684. The Medallion of Harmony worn by Jolanthe sends forth a tempest of pale light which renders a giant dismembered tongue inert and unmoving.
  685. You suddenly scoop up the corpse of a giant dismembered tongue.
  686.
  687. Jolanthe raises her hand to her mouth as she snickers, a flash of brilliant violet washing over her eyes as she does so.
  688.
  689. Elexia smiles softly.
  690.
  691. You think to yourself: ** washes of gray, ripples of understanding ... **.
  692.
  693. You have emoted: Gurashi glances towards Duethielle Ladrennbenn again, still wearing the same sad smile as before as they rise from the ground, no longer crouched beside Binky Tailsnap. They sniffle, lowering their makeshift blanket hood and write: 'thank you for letting me come.' They pause, adding: 'sorry took so long. please do not let me wait so long next time.'
  694.
  695. You have emoted: Gurashi glances askance at Duethielle Ladrennbenn, giving the notepad a squeeze.
  696.
  697. Binky Tailsnap hugs you compassionately.
  698.
  699. You blink.
  700.
  701. Binky Tailsnap flashes you a joyous smile.
  702.
  703. Elexia winks a violet eye at you, saying, "I will most certainly remind you by letter, friend, if too much time passes."
  704.
  705. You have emoted: Gurashi blinks again, then stoops down low to return the embrace, albeit one-armed.
  706.
  707. You nod your head sagely at Elexia.
  708.
  709. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a little gasp, suddenly setting the basket containing the remaining cookies on the nearby snow-covered stall. They gesture at it and write: 'please help selves! leftovers!' They look on with a smile that doesn't quite reach their eyes, politely bowing.
  710.
  711. You drop 10 kephera-shaped cinnamon cookies.
  712.
  713. You hug Elexia compassionately.
  714.
  715. You hug Jolanthe compassionately.
  716.
  717. You hug Llani compassionately.
  718.
  719. Reaching out with your mind, you grasp the harmonic song of the domothean energies as you seek the Aetherplex Chamber.
  720.
  721. Jolanthe Myeras, of Harmonious Aesthetic says to you, "Thank you most kindly."
  722.
  723. Jolanthe hugs you compassionately.
  724.
  725. Binky Tailsnap waves goodbye.
  726.
  727. Elexia beams broadly.
  728.
  729. The lingering notes of harmonic purity swell to impossible heights as you step confidently through the song of reality itself.
  730. The Aetherplex Chamber.
  731. The spherical chamber is formed from a hollow geode comprised of dozens of precious gemstones. Large jagged formations of rubies, sapphires, diamonds and emeralds line the walls and ceiling. The floor has been cut and polished to a brilliant shine, revealing concentric circles of brilliant colours. Upon close examination of the glassy floor, shimmering reflections briefly glide across its smooth surface of wondrous mansions and abodes. A current of electricity continuously runs throughout this mineral wonder, causing tiny sparks to erratically blossom up and down the crystalline formations. Hidden deep within the environment lies a mystic pathway. Shimmering with aetheric energy, a bright glowing portal floats here in midair. Hackles risen, a fierce timberwolf prowls about here. A screech owl is here, surveying the surroundings. There are 2 great brindle mastiffs here. A giant bat hangs here, wings folded about its body and one beady eye open. You see a sign here instructing you to use the PORTAL command to enter the aetherplex system. There is an aetherways portal here.
  732. You see exits leading north (open door), south, out, and through a bright, glowing portal.
  733.
  734. You close your eyes and inhale deeply, absorbing the scent of your surroundings.
  735.
  736. You think to yourself: ** gray washes of sympathy, caught up in an unrelenting grasp of foreign-familiar pain **.
  737.
  738. You have emoted: Gurashi opens their eyes as they land, stumbling a single step. They stare off into space, then look down at a vibrant mandolin of songbirds and stars, frowning.
  739.
  740. You think to yourself: -- ...soft, sad thrumming... --.
