  1. >”Wait, you have a plan already?” Comet Trail yelled from the other side of the room
  2. >”Of course he has!” Melodica cheerfully intervened “He’s THE prince, I’m super-duper sure that he has like, a secret training in coming up with cool things on the fly or something that only royalty does! There’s no way that he didn’t have a plan, so tell us everything Anon! How are we gonna save the school?”
  3. >Seems like Melodica has a little too much faith in you. It is true that you came up with something, but you just did it on the fly and by using common sense.
  4. >You let out a chuckle as you shook your head
  5. “Secret training? I’m afraid there’s no such thing unless you call dealing with Discord and Eris a “training” Nah, this is more of a… thing that comes with experience. As for saving the school? I’m sorry Melodica, but I can’t think on how to solve this situation yet. We need more info and my plan is about how to get that info”
  6. > Gale Breeze dropped her head and let out a sigh in disappointment ”Awww! And here I was getting all excited that we were going to see you kicking those jerks’ flanks…”
  7. >Oh, come on! Why everyone always thinks that you will resort to violence?! That kind of schlock only works in very specific situations and usually against major threats. You just wished that someone could see that being effective and optimal is the best way to go, even if it’s not flashy or spectacular!
  8. >You slowly shook your head and gave Gale Breeze a stoic look.
  9. “You know that could get me expelled, right? My mom may be the principal of the school, but I still must follow the rules.”
  10. >”I know, I know” Gale Breeze sighed one more time and then shrugged “It’s just that… you know… eehh” She rubbed the back of her before rolling her eyes “Ehatever, you’re right. So, getting back to Melodica’s question. What are you going to do?”
  11.
  12. “Believe it or not, I’m gonna need everyone’s cooperation with this one. Melodica, I need you to go to the other fifth grade classroom and ask them if they know more about this “emergency” meeting. Comet Trail, you and the rest of the group will go to the library and look up the school’s guidelines. I’m sure that what the sixth graders are doing is totally illegal, and we want to cover our bases there. Gale Breeze… eh, you’ll be in charge on finding out where Ruffle Truffle is”
  13. >”What?!” Gale Breeze made a scowl and yelled at you, she clearly didn’t like her role “Why do I have to do that?!”
  14. >W-Where did that come from? Why was Gale Breeze so angry? Is your plan THAT bad? Wait… no, that can’t be. She got angry when she heard her role in it. But why?
  15. >Whatever the case may be, you have to calm her down with a very well thought out response.
  16. >You rubbed the back of your neck as you offered the filly a nervous smile
  17. “Because, well… y’know”
  18. >Okay, maybe it wasn’t THAT well thought out
  19. >”Oh!” Gale Breeze looked away from you, offended by your words “So just because I kind of liked him and he was my special somepony for like twenty minutes I have to look up where that idiot is?!”
  20. >Oh, that’s right! You totally forgot that Ruffle and Gale Breeze were totally a thing… dang… she must have been either desperate or blind and deaf to settle for that guy.
  21. >You quickly shook your head, now that you knew the reason of her anger. You more or less knew how to explain yourself.
  22. “What? No! You’ve got it all wrong! I-I didn’t even think about that until you mentioned it! Promise!”
  23. >”Then what, Anon?! Tell me and you better be dang sure that it’s a good excuse!” Gale Breeze angrily poked your chest making you to take a step back.
  24.
  25. >Gale Breeze continued her advance making you retrocede until she cornered you against a wall. “Well, Anon?” she said with a murderous glare.
  26. >Despite having the best intentions, you were sweating bullets. You looked left and right, hoping that someone would help you but… every filly in the classroom was glaring at you
  27. >O-Okay, you have to defuse this situation. Calm down, Anon, you didn’t do anything wrong, you just worded yourself poorly and acted super shady.
  28. >You gulped and offered Gale Breeze your best smile. You only have one shot at this, so better make it count.
  29. “I-I suggested that you would be the best to investigate Ruffle Truffle’s whereabouts because, y’know, your dad is the editor in chief of the biggest newspaper in Canterlot, right? A-And your special talent is similar to his, s-so, y’know, I-I thought that you would like to do some journalistic work and investigate where that idiot is”
  30. >”Oh…” Gale Breeze backed down from her accusations after hearing that and looked away from you “W-Well, you should have said that earlier! A-Anyways my daddy has taught me all what is to know about journalism so consider the job done”
  31. >Your heart went back to normal once you saw Gale Breeze calming down
  32. >”Uh… Gale Breeze?” Comet Trail gave her friend a little smirk “Why are you blushing?”
  33. >”Shut up, Comet! It’s not like you don’t get super red every time you talk about Anon!” Gale Breeze shook her head, sighed and then turned to you “So, tell me Anon, what are you going to do while we get you all the info? Oh! And what are we going to do once we do all that stuff?”
  34. >You walked past Gale Breeze and went to the door
  35.
  36. “I want to do a little investigation on my own, namely about why the sixth graders are doing what they’re doing, and… well, be a bit more proactive than just standing around. As I said, solving this mess is my responsibility as a prince, so if they’re being jerks to someone who didn’t deserve it, I’ll stop it. As for what we’re going to do with all of this info, I’ll have to ask you to compile it so we can send it to my mom as quickly as possibly”
  37. >”Mmmm…” Comet Trail got up from her seat and walked to you, stopping you right before you opened the door “That sounds nice, but how do you plan to get in touch with Princess Celestia without leaving the school? And… well, even if we stop the sixth graders from whatever they’re trying to do… what will you do if they try to get back at you after school? Because I’m sure they’ll want a payback”
  38. >They wouldn’t be that big of an idiots, right? The sixth graders…. Oh, who you are kidding? They totally were, and you were an even bigger idiot for not considering that.
  39. >You placed your hoof on your chin and looked at the ceiling before coming up with an answer
  40. “Huh… I actually never thought of that possibility… well…”
  41. >”Pffft! C’mon Traily!” Melodica waved her hoof dismissively, and spoke before you could say anything else “You’re talking as if our Anon can’t kick their ugly flanks all by himself!”
  42. >”I’m sure Anon could win if it was just a couple idiots but against a whole grade?!” Comet Trail yelled “I know that Anon is good with magic, but I don’t think he’s that good to hold his ground against the entire hoofball team”
  43. >So… a bunch of jocks? Puh-lease! You can cast shields and fire lasers out of your horn. You can totally deal with them… if you wanted to murder them… dang! Things would be harder in a more “leveled” fight.
  44.
  45. >But you still have your brain… and Moonlight’s training. You knew a little how to use your hooves in a fight. So no worries.
  46. >You raised your hoof to reply
  47. “You see…”
  48. > Gale Breeze scratched her chin and interrupted you ”I’m sure he can, but I’m also sure that is something that Anon would want to avoid, right? I mean, my daddy told me that the Canterlot Times has a whole team dedicated to report what he does, he’s still big news, I don’t think that he would want the frontlines to be “The Prince beats a bunch of dumb colts in a street fight!””
  49. >To be honest, they all made valid points, and you were also thankful that your classmates were worried about you, so even if you weren’t entirely sure about your chances of success with this mission. You did owe them an answer.
  50. >Of course, you weren’t going to mention anything about Moonlight’s training nor tell them that you now know how to shoot frickin’ deadly lasers that explode on contact.
  51. “It doesn’t really matter if I face the entirety of the sixth grade or just Ruffle Truffle. The reality is that they can’t beat me in a straight fight. Gale Breeze is right though, I want to avoid that type of confrontation as much as possible. Not because of my public image but because I like to believe that I’m above that. That’s why we will contact my mom and let the school system to deal with these sixth graders imbeciles, as for how we’re gonna let her know what’s happening? Well… we’ll figure that out later”
  52. >You looked back and using your magic, you opened the classroom door. Then you turned to your classroom and gave them a princely look in order to make this final speech a little more… impactful. That’s something that your moms taught you.
  53.
  54. “Now, I know that all of you are nervous about this, and that’s absolutely fine, I’m feeling the same way. But considering we’re the class with the highest performance, I do believe it is our duty to show the school that we can deliver in more ways than just excellent grades. We need to be serious and effective, I’m counting on you, my beautiful friends, let’s show those sixth graders what we’re made of.”
  55. >As your class cheered you quietly left the classroom and ventured into the still heavy patrolled hallways. Alright, Anon, you should prioritize grades, in this case, maybe the fourth graders would be the best option.
  56. >If you remembered it right, they all were into spy stuff, and for some bizarre reason, all of them were children of royal guards. Under that logic, they can help you out the most.
  57. >Alright Anon! that sounds like a good plan. First stop: The Fourth grade classroom!
  58. >But wait… before you do anything brash, you need to consider that last thing you want to do is to be spotted by some hallway monitor and start a big fight.
  59. >That not only would ruin your plan but it would also make everything harder for your classmates... and you don’t want to go detention either. This needed a stealthier approach, secret service style!
  60. >You started walking down the hallway, taking care of not making any noise… just use the tip of your hooves, Anon. It may be slow and it may make you look stupid, but you weren’t making any noise and that’s all what matters.
  61. >Before venturing too far into the depths of your school, you realized that there was another problem, an actual flaw in your otherwise perfect plan: you didn’t know where the fourth grade classroom actually is…
  62.
  63. >Dang! You need to go back to your own classroom so you can ask one of your friends for directions. Okay, that shouldn’t take too long, and maybe if you hurry, you can still catch-
  64. >”Think there are any idiots over here?”
  65. >Double dang! Someone is coming! Your idea for getting info just went down the drain.
  66. >”Who cares, dude? We’re not having classes, let’s just roll for a while”
  67. >Triple dang! Whoever is coming is accompanied!
  68. >Judging by what they were saying, you could safely deduce that the voice belonged to a couple of sixth graders. Not only that, but you could hear their hoofsteps, and they were getting closer.
  69. >You need to hide! But where! The only things in this hallway were a bunch of magical infused lamps, doors and…aha! Lockers!
  70. >You charged your horn and using your not-so-trusty magic, you teleported to the inside of a random locker.
  71. > You held your breath when you saw that they decided to stop for a moment and chat right in front of where you were hiding.
  72. >Man, they really were jocks through and through. Hmmm… Eris hates jocks, maybe you could…
  73. >No, no, nonononono! Get that thought out of your head! Eris would go overboard with these idiots and as much as you disliked them, throwing a draconequus against them is just overkill.
  74. >More importantly, did they stop in this position because they knew that you were hiding in this locker?
  75. >”Isn’t that what we’re doing right now? I mean, we could look up for any idiot who’s out of his classroom. Sending them to detention is actually fun”
  76. >”Maybe for you, I’m all for taking away their lunches, that’s a classic and my big bro tells me that there’s nothing like the classics!”
  77. >Wooo! These idiots didn’t notice that you used a fairly advanced spell! That was awesome! Or… it would be awesome if you teleported to a better locker. When you teleported, maybe you knocked someone’s lunch since you could feel a slimy substance running down your precious mane.
  78. >You really hoped that it was soup, or some kind of cheap jelly because and not a chemistry project or something, far, far worse… please, don’t let this thing to be what you think it is.
