- Description: Martha, a grandmother and mother of 3, was drinking with a roommate at a bar, when her roommate decided that she was too drunk to drive home. Howell didn’t know either of them, but volunteered to drive her car home while Martha’s roommate dropped her off at their mobile home. Howell dropped off the car, but later returned to the mobile home. Once there he raped Martha, before stabbing her to death, leaving her roommate to find her body when she got home that night.
