  1. Introversion and Extroversion of Information Elements, Revised Again
  2.
  3. ---
  4.
  5. It doesn't really make much sense that Si and Fi are on the same side of the Z axis with Ne and Te. But T is the best reference point for introversion and extroversion because it is the most obvious. Ti is obviously introverted and Te is obviously extroverted. For the rest of the elements, all of this appears quite vague. However, one formal property of the socionics 3-space is quite obvious.
  6.
  7. If all sets of elements whose Z sign is the same are either introverted or extroverted, but not both, the result is a simpler model. So, just for the sake of experiment, can we reverse the signs of S and F?
  8.
  9. Model A -> Model M- -> Model M
  10.
  11. Ti Ti Ti
  12. Ne Ni Ni
  13. Se Se Si
  14. Fi Fe Fi
  15. Fe Fi Fe
  16. Si Si Se
  17. Ni Ne Ne
  18. Te Te Te
  19.
  20. If we upgraded Model A to current Model M instead of Model M- (ex-"Model M") like I previously suggested, we need to change the introversion and extroversion of N and S but not other elements. Rhetorically, this seems like a piece of cake. Se (ex-"Si") activity such as manual work can be noticed by others via the senses. Si (ex-"Se") things like power issues cannot be observed via the senses without also interpreting what the senses tell.
  21.
  22. So the sociotypes should be renamed again so that:
  23.
  24. ISFj -> FiSi
  25. ISFp -> SeFe
  26. ISTj -> TiSi
  27. ISTp -> SeTe
  28. INFj -> FiNi
  29. INFp -> NeFe
  30. INTj -> TiNi
  31. INTp -> NeTe
  32. ESFj -> FeSe
  33. ESFp -> SiFi
  34. ESTj -> TeSe
  35. ESTp -> SiTi
  36. ENFj -> FeNe
  37. ENFp -> NiFi
  38. ENTj -> TeNe
  39. ENTp -> NiTi
  40.
  41. Energy accumulation and depletion hypotheses of Model A appear to be founded on solid behaviouristic empirical evidence. We can determine whether an information element accumulates or depletes energy by determining whether sociotypes whose leading function an IE is are extroverted or introverted. Consequently, according to Model M (and in the language of Model M), these IEs deplete energy:
  42.
  43. Ne, Ti, Se, Fi
  44.
  45. These IEs accumulate energy:
  46.
  47. Ni, Te, Si, Fe
