  1. World End Economica Review
  2. ----
  3.
  4. Chapter one is slow and the main character is annoying. It picks up about halfway when the stock contest really starts and is a fun ride til the end.
  5.
  6. Chapter two moves much quicker and the plotline is a lot more interesting. It gets a lot of mystery elements and is more of an investigation of a shady company than stockbroking, but it works.
  7.
  8. My review of the first two chapters is pretty short here because I read them like 2 years ago, but overall they're pretty solid.
  9.
  10. Chapter three is awesome. It starts an interesting type of mystery plotline, revolving around a new type of fund that a bank has come out with. But it's not really a traditional mystery, like there's nothing really shady going on...the MC just has a hunch that there's a problem with the fund and the mystery is "what's the problem?" and "how can I exploit it to turn a huge profit?". It's really creative and interesting and awesome.
  11.
  12. The second half of chapter 3 manages to kick things up even more, as the fallout from the fund causes all sorts of issues, and the problems really start to pile up. Some great character moments, some creative problem solving, and lots and lots of economics discussions. Really fun stuff.
  13.
  14. Ultimately, chapter 3 really exceeded my expectations coming from 1 and 2. I thought it would just be a decent little read, but it was actually really interesting and exciting. It's really the culmination of lots of things from chapters 1 and 2, so it'd be a disservice to just read chapter 3 as a standalone title.
  15.
  16. The VNs are about the right price for their length, ~7-9 hours of reading per chapter, ~11.5 bux each (when you buy the 3 chapter bundle). I'm sure it'll be even better on sale.
  17.
  18. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who seems even a little interested in the premise of a stock trading / economics focused VN.
  19. They're written by the writer of Spice and Wolf, so it's gotta be good, right?
