  1. Dear Readers,
  2.
  3. =======================
  4. UPDATE May 23, 2016
  5.
  6. You may be asking yourself where the PDFs are. Long story short, or for those visiting again, here is gist of it:
  7. Visit https://sao-archive.maamue.de and enter the following credentials for username and password:
  8. sao
  9. Alicization
  10.
  11. The decryption key is
  12. w%`p^8E7|NPe1JAArx'=
  13.
  14. You need the application 7-zip to decrypt the files, other tools won't work!
  15. That's the breakdown. Now the detailed explanation:
  16. MediaFire recognizes documents with copyright status and deletes the files along with the account that shared them, hence I wasn't able to upload the published LN's there anymore. As long as Alicization wasn't touched, I thought I could bear with that.
  17. But at the end of this year, Volume 09: Alicization Beginning will be released. And to host only half of an arc isn't really my style.
  18. To avoid further issues, I moved from MediaFire to a selfhosting solution. The page is secured by state-of-the-art encryption, and only allows people with correct username and password access. Additionally, every volume itself is encrypted, too. Some may say that this approach is a bit over the top, I agree, but it's working and reduces my workload in the end.
  19. For those of you who want to grab all of the LN's, I created a batchfile with every LN, therefore you only need to download and decrypt only one file.
  20. The encryption only refers to the main Light Novel and Progressive series, everything else will be accessible as it was before.
  21.
  22. To avoid common issues:
  23.
  24. *Users accessing the archive via mobile may be able to download files. On most mobile browser's it's working, though not on all. A little excerpt: Opera as of Android 5, Chromium on Android 6, Safari on iOS are all working. Problems are making the following browsers: Dolphin, and sometimes Firefox.
  25.
  26. *All Internet Explorers on Windows XP and Internet Explorer <8 can't read the "SAN" (Subject Alternative Name) of a TLS certificate. See https://www.digicert.com/ssl-support/apache-secure-multiple-sites-sni.htm for addidtional information. I try to add sao-archive as the common name, but the certificate updating mechanism isn't able to make sure that sao-archive.maamue.de is the common name on the certificate.
  27. Other domains under my control are printed on this certificate, too. Therefore don't fret if you get a certificate warning, everything should be fine and you can proceed regardless. Check the error message / warning message you get! Try another browser and/or another up-to-date operating system to make sure everything is fine.
  28. If you still think something is wrong, please send me a mail AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I am serious about security issues and don't want any malfunctions happening here.
  29.
  30. *I redirect from http to https, hence unencrypted communication is not possible. However, to update my certificate, it may be possible that the website is accessible via http for few minutes.
  31.
  32. These were rather "IT-heavy" issues, but you should know regardless.
  33.
  34. If problems arise, you have few contact mechanisms to be found on http://swordartonline.wikia.com/wiki/User:Mamue. Naturally, my e-mail address mamue93@gmx.de is still valid, too.
