- A hand goes towards the fire, the boy testing it's heat for future purposes. Safely coated in the flesh of the earth, he lets it remain there for some few seconds -- his other hand holding what appeared to be a length of the ebony wood received from Nefertari.
- Maxing out a few inches only, he had cut from the main source in order to test it's potency in regards to the flames, and how well would it bend to his wishes despite his obvious limitations in the fields of nature magic. As the heat increases, felt even through the mold cast over his hand for protection now, he pulls it back swiftly.
- This time instead placing the wood into it -- as it sits there, with him constantly rotating within the palm of his hand so that it received an even tempering on all sides. With this just being a test to see how it would take to flames, albeit this one not being the raging fire he assumed needed to the main task of warping that six foot block of wood lying upstairs on the table waiting for him -- it would suffice for this.
- "Hammer, Atticus." Free hand extended back toward the Servant; the only actual tool he brought with him in this case, one made by him actually. The hammer was not too big- fitting the Este's small body, as his fingers laced around it's handle, gripped tightly, The head solid, a flat face, with a point curved downward at the back-end of the tool.
- Pulling out the piece of wood after a few minutes, the Este gives little time for it to settle, instead wanting to test first hand how it would move in accordance to applied pressure after being heated -- thus comes the hammer blow, a loud PANG filling the whole of the manor, and echoing out until it fades away.
- (Hendrix Este)
- Met with shock after his initial blow, the Este finds himself being tested shortly into his test shaping session! Not only does the wood not bend- meant to be literal as well as figurative- to his well, the rebounded force of his blow off sets his balance. The wood falling to the floor as he loses his hold on it, and his arm shoots up into the air with the hammer gripped tight -- awkward positioning now, with one hand angled up, and outward, while a leg is half suspended in a mocking of the letter "k"
- Ebony wood; an occultic piece of material that seemed to hold with it properties that would not just let the boy do as he wanted with normal means of a hammer, and one's physical strength. He found that out a bit too late -- redoubling his efforts, he recovers and reaching for the wood once again- coming to find surprise in the make up the wood as he mistakenly gras for it's heated portions in his rush to continue.
- (Hendrix Este)
- There was no heat accumulated! Through some still unknown means the flames of the fire that that had the wood had been bathed in had no effect whatsoever. Not even a phantom effect of the fires are present on the piece of magic-imbued wood. Thus leading to the idea that there were properties attained through the act of saturating natural materials with mana, and magicks.
- This was the first time seeing this -- his work with basic metals, and giant rocks hadn't prepared him for this. It was pretty much the end of this first testing session, time needed to reflect, and soak in the words Nefertari had left him with the previous night. What was taken away from this test was that pure physical force was both uneccesary, and without effect, and that any means of normal heat would leave him at step one with no way to proceed.
- Frustrations raising over this, the boy was not without methods to fix this. Thinking to Saeran, the Harukean pyromancer, and his friend -- if dealing with an object possessed of magical abilities, he thought of no other way to deal with it than the use of magical means! There was work to be done, and people to be called, placing the wood on ontop of the counter he replaces his hammer in the hands of Atticus before leaving the kitchen.

- The boy goes out looking for Saeran; the Haruke needed to further his endeavors with the Ebony wood. All over the city he looks, even going as far as to instruct those Viridian Legionnaires following him to expand their horizons and seek the straw hat wearing boy out.
- Even with the extra help though -- it came down to him in the end to find him. Finding him beneath foliage near the end of the town of Nostvale, he sits at the edge of a riverbed with a bridge overlooking. Perplexed by the solidarity of it all, Hendrix's brow arches as he stands there for a minute just taking it all in.
- "Saeran!" Hailing down to him. He was no longer quite as ruined physically as he once was, still requiring the use of his sword as a cane though, he walks across the bridge nearly unimpeded. "I need your help with something."

- [14:28:03] Packed, ready..
- With a couple sandwitches made, the young Harukean would be about ready to leave Nostvale for his trip back to Byson when he heard a farmilar voice. The storm grey eyes glanced around, noticng the form of the youth's friend. Saeran would wave to Hendrix, a grin on his face. "Yo! What do you need help with? I'll see if I can help you out."
- The boy then remembered that he was leaving soon, and now would be a good time to tell Hendrix instead of leaving the note. "But I gotta leave soon after. Going to go to Byson and see my parents and stuff like that. Only going to be gone half a year though so it's ok. But what do you need?" The six year old asked with the same motor mouth as always.
- (Saeran Haruke)
- It had been a little over a year since he had met Saeran... Time had flown by- he shared good moments with him, and some bad; proving his friendship still through it all. He wasn't happy to see him go, but he had been told of this upcoming change before.
- "I need your help burning some wood." Completely out of context, he doesn't go into in-depth explanation here. He probably wouldn't ever to be honest -- better to show, than to tell he thought. "How long will you be gone? I don't want to rush this process. I'll be creating my first real weapon with your help after all!" A hand extends to clasp the other boy's shoulder.
- Hendrix stands there smiling, a bit of his good mood having returned with the fading of injuries. "It's for Nefertari, but that doesn't matter much. What matters is she's going to pay me for it." They hadn't decided on that, but it could be a surprise for her upon the spear's completion.
- "So will you help me, or are you soon set to leave, Friend?"
- (Hendrix Este)
- Indeed, it had been a while since Saeran had met Hendrix and the two boys had bonded, becoming quite close. As such leaving soon also took its toll on the Harukean, however the youth had to return and visist home once in a while. He didn't want his parents to be histaric over him, or mad, and he had to visist the guy who had taught him fire magic in the first place.
- "I can help you burn some wood." The Harukean finally said with a grin. "I was going to be gone half a year but I can stay until its made and everything if you want. Don't have to be home by a specific day just want to check up on my folks and stuff. And if its Nefe and she's gonna pay you then I gotta help." The grey haired child said as his face lit up with glee. A real chance to practice his magic and use it for once? Yes please.
- "When can we start?"
- (Saeran Haruke)
- "Soon. There's one more puzzle piece I need to collect.." It was true he was creating something only a smith could, probably. Yet the fundamental difference was that this was wood -- an object pertaining to greenery, and horticulture; it was a bit out of his field, and from his last attempt he had learned that a hammer would not do for what he intended. He needed a magi capable of shaping Nature as they saw fit.
- "I need to find Clemenmine." The name stuck despite the time having gone by in which he had actually seen the Fawnling girl. "She'll be the one doing the hard work..." While he would solidfy form through technique, he would require someone to help him shape it; bending, and shaping the wood as he envisioned, her task considered the most important for what he had in mind.
- "You can stay at the Manor until then. So you're always close by- I'll have Atticus prepare a space for you, and your stuff." He was excited about it all, the chance to actually create something that was useful. Not just some trinket that he would give as a gift, but a weapon that any would recognize as his work in the future.
- (Hendrix Este)
- [15:06:27] One more piece? The Harukean would begin to think perhaps he could help look for it before he heard that the piece would actually be finding another person. That would make things more difficult. After all, Saeran was really bad at find people, as evidenced by all the times that the six year old had attempted to find Nefe's friend for her.
- "What does Clem look like? I could help you find her and stuff." The Grey haired child said, a hopeful tone in his voice before hearing that he could have a place to stay in the manor. The boy's mouth opened suprized, but then again up until now he had been sleeping on the various benches around Nostvale.. Curing colds with the fire magic that he knew whenever it rained. Sometimes it would rain a lot.
- The youth jumped up and down and would go over to hug the other boy. "Ok! You're the best Hendrix!" He said with a great big smile.
- (Saeran Haruke)
- "She has horns. They're cute, and match her really well." His description of her was a bit... off. His eyes do not waver though, and his expression remains as stone-cold as it had been otherwise whenever he was explaining something. "If you see her, tell her the same thing I told you- she can stay there until we're done making it."
- While things were slowly coming together, he began mapping out the finer points. Length, width, engravings, and all those other cosmetic details that he put into the spear while still making sure it was a practical instrument. "I appreciate this, Saeran. Thank you." Putting his hand on his shoulder again he gives a nod to him before turning away in the end.
- "I'm going to go talk to my Mom about you both staying there though now. Come over whenever you want- Atticus will make sandwhiches for you." and with that the Este leaves, to go discuss permissions, and sleep-overs. The sound of his sword hitting the wood of the bridge echoing as he goes, into the distance the sound fades.
- (Hendrix Este)
- [15:28:38] Right! So the task was clear! Saeran was going to go look around for the Clem girl and look for horned girl- wait wasn't Hendrix's sister horned? Was clem another name for his sister? That made sense in the boy's mind though why would he have to ask about it if she was already staying in the house? No, no must be someone differnt.
- "Alright! If I find her and stuff I'll tell her. Gotta be good and look for her though first! But its ok! Saeran's on the look and I won't stop till she's good and found!" The boy would say, doing a salute with his wide and toothy grin as ussual. "And I'll see about coming around later then! Maybe after you've talked to your mom and made sure everything was ok with her." The young scrap wearing boy would say before watching as his best friend left.
- It appeared that he would have to visist Byson some other time. For now he could stay in Nostvale.
