"Just lay down on the floor, this is going to be kind of experimental, and I might need to get my teacher involved if I can't manage it by myself." Shirou obliges you and lays down. "Gray, I'm going to need you to transfer some of your magical energy to Shirou, so please place your hand on his back and start doing that." You place one of your hands on Shirou's back and insert some of your own magical energy into his body, the goal here is to find Avalon while it resonates with Gray's energy. Extracting it might be a little more difficult, but with your practice manifesting Truth, you feel that drawing Avalon out of Shirou won't be that difficult.

After a few minutes of searching, you find what it is you're looking for. A soft golden glow within Shirou that is clearly representative of the activated Avalon! Gray's energy has worked! You focus on the glowing particles within Shirou and start using your own magical energy to gather them together, Shirou squirms uncomfortably as you do so, but you don't let that distract you as you draw all of Avalon together into one large clump of glowing energy. You pull your hand away from Shirou and have the glowing energy within him follow you.

The golden energy emerges from Shirou not as energy, but as the beautiful sheathe of Excalibur. Avalon. The sheathe having been activated by what it considers to be King Arthur thrums with power. At this moment you realize that healing Kiritsugu truly will be possible.
