MRVerse Episode 4

[MAR WK3 20XX]

Today was the day of the Artemis Cup...Jalen have signed up for the event a week before it and prepped Hilbert for it...running some drills on the days leading to it before letting him rest on the last day. They also have learned some new moves in Aero Uppercut and Thunder Smash..two very powerful moves in their own regards.

At the moment, they are currently driving to the arena, Rhiannon and Palutena have already went there to get some seats in the private quarters. Meanwhile for Jalen, he have finally arrived at Southtown, south of Ylisstol and parks his car at the parking lot where he and Hilbert get out. They walk over to the entrance for competitors where Jalen nods and wave at the people watching him and Hilbert....they walk into the lobby and check himself along with his Hare in.

He nods at her, thanking her as the 2 of them walk on to the waiting room for the competitors...Inside the rather large room where there are monitors showing the arena outside getting filled with spectators, the officials getting ready for the tourney...

He looks around at the 2 rivals in the tourney....seeing a Rock Eye(Suezo/Golem) standing next to its sitting trainer and then he look around the entrance to the arena and spots a huge monster called a Zilla looking at Hilbert with a look that screams. 'I'm gonna crush you!' Making both Jalen and Hilbert exchange looks of them smirking.

"That Zilla thinks he can beat you....Wanna prove him wrong, buddy?" Hilbert merely flexes his hands(Shapedslike mittens due to Hare's biology) followed by his arm muscles...making the Zilla and his trainer to second-guess themselves.

"Heh...that'll show them.."

Jalen chuckles before the doors behind him open up, a brown-haired man around his age walk in with a black jacket with a crest he don't know on the left breast of it, the jacket's opened up to reveal a purple shirt with a star on it with the letter 'B' in it. he have on  black and fancy jeans on with purple shoes on.  He have a confident smirk on as he strolls in with a monster that on looks alone look like a mask with a white cape..but there's always more than meets the eyes with Galis.

As opposed to Jalen wearing a red hoodie with blue jeans on with his hoodie up. Jalen watches as the lad approaches him..

"Ah, you must be Jalen Faraday, correct?" He and his Gali stand before Jalen and Hilbert...Jalen nodding "Yeah, I am..Who are you and how do you know of me?"

"Ah, I am Belkut Branch, heir of the Branch Enterprises within the capital of Nohr, Windmire...as for your 2nd question.. He chuckles as he crosses hs arms.  I've heard of your skills, and quite frankly..I'm not too impressed."

Jalen just look at him, waiting for him to continue as Hilbert doesn't look amused at all.

"My reason being that as good as you are...you never fought against that many Nohrians excluding Prince Alexander and well.." He shakes his head with a smirk "We all know how that went.."

"..." Jalen was starting to not like this guy..

"I will have you know that although you won't win this, I'm expecting a good fight from you unlike these low-class fools.." Belkut sneers at the other 2 who looks pissed about the comment.

"..You're something else..." Jalen speaks up after thinking on what he heard...Belkut seems to be the typical snobbish brat he and Rin grew up with in Ylisstol...

"I am a nobleof high-blood, I merely speak only facts.." The bell rings out as Belkut smirks and turn to his Gali "Come, Solomon, we must win this for my dear Rinea who watches in the stands..." _He turns towards Jalen. "Be seeing you, Faraday.."

He walk past Jalen and Hilbert with his Gali flowing behind him as he and the other rivals head to the dugout to prepare for the tourney..

"...Hilbert..."Jalen speaks up as his Hare look up at him confused... "We gonna make Belkut look like a fool."

Hilbert nods with a confident grin while Jalen walk on to the ring with the former following him as he thinks about what Belkut said about him hearing about him.

"Must had been that girl I met a month ago.."

The arena is a standard floor with some rocks here and there on a neutral terrain. The dugout for the trainers to relax is formed underneath the stands of the spectators. The stadium itself is a giant dome with a ceiling to protect them from the weather, although considering that it's a clear night at 8PM...No need for the audience and trainers to worry about any bad weather when they depart.

Jalen look around and spots his mother and sister looking down at him and Hilbert from the Private quarters where some nobles can sit at., waving at him as he wave back..Upon looking there, he can spot a light blue-haired girl dressed in a very fancy blue dress with about 5 body guards standing near her.

"The hell?" He asked himself as he look back down at his foes and then spots Belkut looking up at the woman with a confident smile before he look away and back at the jumbotron where the seeds for the monsters will be displayed..

"That must be his fiancee, Rinea..." Jalen correctly deducts as soon the seeding for the monsters are shown...1st is Hilbert naturally....2nd is Solomon..3rd is Hugo the Rock Eye..and last is Peppo the Zilla. This makes Hilbert vs Peppo the 1st match followed by Solomon vs Hugo.

"Allrighty then, time to show that Zilla and his trainer what we're capable of..." Jalen nods as Hilbert punch his fists together, gearing himself for battle.

Rhiannon yawned into her hands, bored at the moment as the matches will be starting soon. With her is her mom, Palutena, who is currently chowing down on a muffin with raisins in it. Rhiannon didn't entered the Artemis Cup solely on the fact that she had trained Hilda a bit too much and tired her out.But at the same time, she get to watch her brother compete...and against a notable Nohrian Trainer in the son of the CEO of the enterprises that make the training gadgets for Nohr...

"The very same that currently harms the planet..." She scowls, she hopes her brother will beat him, but it will be a tough matter...

She look over to their guest and see the fiancee of the heir surrounded by her bodyguards...seems Berkut loves to spoil her. Rinea for her part look happy and confident for her love...

"I hope he does well, Berkut has been training a lot as of lately...ever since he lost to Camilla AND Xander at the Macarath University Cup, he's been quite bitter."

"(That must leads to poor performances in bed..)" Rin hides her smirk as Rinea continue speaking out loud to her bodyguards, unaware that both she and Palutena were listening. "Really it's been quite awful for us...his performance in the ring have lead to..unsavory rumors about his skill and whether he will inherit his father's company."

"But then as I was talking to one of my friends last month, she have mentioned this cup to me as Belkut walked in from training Solomon...hearing this, he got a bit excited and wanted to compete here...so we made plans to come here a week early so we can go sightseeing!"

She smiles in a cheerful manner  as she look down at the ring.. "I just know he will win this..."

"(Don't get your hopes too high...)" Rin turn her attention to the ring as the 1st 2 monsters step into the ring as the audience erupts in cheers as the Artemis Cup gets underway with Hilbert vs Peppo

Peppo's footsteps into the ring make the stadium shake, highlighting his size and power. Despite this, Hilbert doesn't feel a trace of fear running through his veins. As a matter of fact, he grins as he get into his stance. Raising his fists before him like a boxer would...he awaits for both Jalen's orders and the bell to ring.

Jalen was busy calculating a very high-IQ plan that will surely lead him to victory in this battle...It's truly a risky one that will set the flow of battle.. As the bell rings, he unveils his plan for Hilbert...

"HILBERT, USE ROLLING BLOW!"

Of course, that was to use overwhelming force.

Hilbert shouts as he crouches low and jump towards the unsuspecting Zilla and spin very fast..kicking up some air to form a small tornado before he throws his right back fist towards Peppo's belly.

Peppo counters back with a Belly Attack to absorb some of the attack with Hilbert lodging his fist deep in all of that belly fat. Even so, as Hilbert bounce off of him and get ready for an another attack...Peppo is holding his belly with a pained expression.

"Allright, we have it on it's disadvantage...go for a Head Crush!"

As per Jalen's orders, Hilbert gets into a football 3-point stance and jump up high where his head shines brightly red as he reach the peak of his jump way above Peppo...before dropping his head low and coming down like a bowling ball towards the Zilla's head.

An loud echoing noise is heard as Hilbert makes contact with the whale monster...the latter roaring in pain as Hilbert recoils and slide off the head before landing on his feet....only to have to jump away as Peppo comes falling down fainted from just 2 attacks..

The audience roars excitedly at the conclusion of the fan favorite and safe bet on winning the whole tourney as the Hare walk back to his trainer and gets a head pat of approval while the medics take care of the Zilla with M-Tomatoes and more..Up in the noble box, Palutena and Rhiannon share looks of pride while Rinea looks rather passive about it.

"Well, that was expected..wouldn't you agree, Rin?" Palutena bites into a muffin after asking her daughter who rubs her chin and nods with a thoughtful look. "I would had count this as a perfect win, but Head Crush does have recoil damage so..."

"Umm..E-excuse me..." Both Faradays turn their heads to Rinea who looks somewhat nervous speaking to them. "Um..Do-do you know that trainer?"

Both of them look at each other before Palutena(Being closer to the woman despite sitting in a different chair and having Rinea's bodyguards surrounding her) smiles and nod

"Yes, that's my oldest child, Jalen Faraday." Hearing that makes Rinea's eyes widen a bit before she turn back to the ring below them as Belkut and Solomon enters the ring, the former looking up and nodding with an assuring smile.

"...So that's who she was telling me about.."Rin raise an eyebrow hearing this...who was talking about her brother?"

The match below started as Belkut, similar to Jalen, had Solomon wasted no time on the Rock Eye before him and open up with a Lightning. Solomon raised an astral hand to the sky and conjured bolts to shoot Hugo and fry it...Hugo hops out of the way and widen his eye to unleash a bluish-green light called Telepathy to thwart Solomon from attacking him again.

"Child's play...Solomon, dodge and use Red Wisp!"

Belkut thrust his hand out as Solomon hovers over the telepathic attack and float back down as he creates a red sphere that hovers slowly towards Hugo. The Rock Eye look at it a for a moment before ignoring it and keeping his eye on the Gali..

"(Fool will fall for my trap...)" Belkut smirks as he issued another order.. "Solomon, get closer and use Whirlwind!"


Solomon makes an eerie roar as he hovers in close with his mask enlarging a bit before it spins fast enough to create a mini horizontal tornado on Hugo's face...Hugo get sent flying back a bit before he hit a rock that stops his momentum...however, the Rock Eye soon shouts as his trainer issue a Suezo Beam...Hugo's eye glows very brightly red as he shoot a stream towards the Gali.

Solomon barely dodges the attack after turning his attack off swoop very low to the ground to avoid the attack..However, this cost Solomon the neutral as he soon back off from Hugo who got off the rock and is slowly chasing him down while firing his laser...
Despite this, Belkut is still smirking, for he knows one thing that no one who don't have any Gali experience knows...

..That Red Wisp is a landmine that zooms in on the nearest living object that's not the Gali that used it...and as Hugo continues to come after Solomon who's dodging the attack...The red sphere suddenly flies into Hugo,, and while it does almost no damage...it takes a lot of Guts away from the foe as evidenced by Hugo looking very tired and drained now...

"And like any other Ylissian  pup, you fell for such a simple trick..Solomon! Finish it off with Thwack!"

Solomon raise a hand again, but unlike where it stayed a normal size...it enlarges and flatten the Rock Eye on the ground...KOing it for the win.

"Hmph..." Belkut smirks as Solomon flies towards him silently as Hugo is helped by medics.. "If this is a sign of things to come..then I have this in the bag...Not even Faraday will beat me! No Ylissian can!!"

"He's rather cocky, isn't he?" Palutena have a forced smile on her face to hide her annoyance...while Rin doesn't bother and scoffs.. "He's lucky I'm not down there to knock him down a peg and two, Mother.."

"He's just confident in himself.." Even tho she said that, Rinea's tone sound like someone who's in denial as Rin look over with a frown."It's one thing to be confident, but to insult the region you are guests of, leaves much to be desired.."And to prove Rin's point, the majority of the crowd is booing Belkut who doesn't care, rather he relish it as he look up at them with his condescending smirk before smiling at Rinea who smile back..

"...You are his fiancee and the fact that you do nothing, but enable this behavior speaks of how weak willed you are..."

Rinea gasps a bit from this somewhat-rude but truthful answer..one of her bodyguards stare at Rin, but the brunette merely glares back harder before Palutena glare at the guard as well, making the man back down before Palutena sighs and look at Rin with a disapproval look, however much she agree...she won't speak on it now tho, she don't wanna make her daughter feel as if she was wrong...cause she's not.

Back on the arena floor, Jalen merely shrugs Belkut's ego off as the tourney continues.....soon after both of them win their next match...the last match to decide who wins the cup will be between Hilbert and Solomon...Next time on MRVerse!!!
