  1. from /hhg/ Helluva Hotel general #710, #711
  2. ------------------------------------
  3. >d. Charlie but its mgr revengance bullshit
  4. >Four horsemen as the bosses
  5. >Pestilence - mistral
  6. >Famine - monsoon
  7. >War - sundowner for obvious reasons
  8. >Death - sam
  9. >Cyber anon for the exelsus fight and charlie in place of armstrong
  10. >Either solagne or moxxie in place of raiden
  11. -
  12. >>Cyber anon for the exelsus fight
  13.
  14. >He appears several times earlier in the game, getting progressively more cyborg-y as he receives continuous "upgrades" after being defeated each time
  15. >Final boss fight plays out like the stock-standard encounter, just dialed up one more notch in difficulty, like always
  16. >But once the player beats them, they don't get the usual victory tune and loot drop
  17. >They get a cut scene
  18. >Of a beaten and battered Cyber Anon jumping into a Large Ominous Pit™ and emerging a few moments later after some Threatening Machine Noises™ and a Frightening Musical Stinger™, now wired into a huge fuckoff war mech
  19. >Congratulations on beating the boss fight, Player
  20. >Your reward is another, even harder boss fight
  21. -
  22. >>Either solagne or moxxie in place of raiden
  23.
  24. Why not both?
  25. >Choose from one or the other at the start of each playthrough
  26.
  27. >Solagne is the hard hitting melee combat specialist, ranged weapons are used to supplement melee attacks at best and strictly situational at worst
  28. >Since enforcers are modeled after exterminators, she can salvage pieces from them to upgrade her own cybernetics
  29. >Can fly, but is more vulnerable while doing so
  30.
  31. >Moxxie is the ranged weapon specialist, his melee attacks are mostly for staggering enemies so he can retreat to a safe distance to break out the heavy ordnance
  32. >Small size and previous life as an assassin gives him much better stealth, can reach advantageous sniping positions easily and usually lets the player initiate combat on their own terms
  33. >Being a commander in the overwatch demons lets him hide in plain site for some levels and he can sabotage them from within
  34.
  35. >Whichever character the player picks, they encounter the other in certain events throughout the single player campaign, like in Resident Evil 2.
  36. -
  37. >>Since enforcers are modeled after exterminators, she can salvage pieces from them to upgrade her own cybernetics
  38. >Doing this too much can make some security systems believe that she is an enforcer herself
  39. >Unfortunately this doesn't work on enforcers and can make some non hostile NOCs attack her
  40. -
  41. >Moxxie, on the other hand, can use his rank of commander to manipulate overwatch troopers as long as he's in his old uniform
  42. >And as long as he's still following correct procedures
  43. >Overwatch troopers who haven't been deconditioned yet are real sticklers for protocol
  44. >Player has to choose the correct dialog options with them to get them to do what they want otherwise they'll report their superior for deviating from SOP and quickly blow their cover
  45. -
  46. >[Intimidate] Get back to your patrols, lieutenant.
  47. >[Convince]Go pick up that can
  48. --------------------------------------
  49. >Charlie taunts and harasses the player character over the radio throughout the game
  50.
  51. >For Moxxie, she starts off by just calling him a traitor and trying to get him back under control via override commands
  52. >Then, after she finds out more about who he is, she starts using his wife and former coworkers against him
  53. >Threatens to do terrible things to Millie, offers to let him kick Blitzo and Loona around for having been nasty to him with her royal blessing
  54.
  55. >For Solagne, she alternates between taking jabs at the former exterminator's past life and venting her own anger and sadness at her
  56. >Takes cheap shots at her about her mother's damnation and imprisonment in the bottom ring of hell
  57. >Tells her that she's still doing what she's always done: slaughtering demons, just for a different reason, and mocks her so-called change of heart
  58. >Reminds her that this whole affair is her own fault to begin with for killing Lilith, her voice cracking as she does so, the whole rant eventually just devolving into her sobbing angrily into the radio
  59. -
  60. >Cyber anons radio calls get more and more robotic after each boss fight
  61. >At his final fight he sounds completely mechanical
  62. -
  63. >Cyber Anon's dialog varies depending on which character the player chooses
  64. >With Solagne, he becomes more and more vitriolic toward her the with each defeat and subsequent upgrade
  65. >With Moxxie, as he becomes more robotic, Moxxie's replies to him gradually grow sadder and more resigned
  66. >For both characters, at a certain point the radio switches from identifying him as "Anon" and instead refers to him as "Enforcer Omega 1"
  67. ------
  68. >Anons boss music starts out as mostly instrumental with a bit of electronic thrown in
  69. >With each fight more and more electronic music replaces the instruments
  70. >During his final phase there is no music, just the sounds of raging steel
