  1. Day 5: Da Vinci
  2. After being dragged away from the underwater serenade, another flash of light blinded me. However, it was more than just the same white circle I've seen before; in addition to that, the pure white clouds reflecting the sunlight pierced my retinas.

  4. I was in the sky, looking at the endless expanse of the heavens. I tried to look around and wonder what was going on, but there wasn't much at all.

  6. That is, except for a large wooden contraption that I found myself on. Its design was very unusual. At the top of it was a windmill, but the rest was so complex that making out each specific part gave me a headache.
  7. It was almost like looking at an early interpretation of humanity's attempts at flight; a mechanic so complex, yet so fascinating that any thoughts about how to do it were immediately drawn and built. I couldn't understand it, but I could at least admire its craftsmanship.

  9. For a little bit, I saw other machines that looked exactly like the one I was on, all quietly gliding through the air as the wind blows quietly. Time passed, however, and eventually, at dusk, I found myself alone, with no other windmills to keep me company; so, what I did was just sit there, thinking about the wonders and inevitability of progress.

  11. I don't know how long my pondering was, but I know that it got abruptly interrupted by a drastic change in speed. The windmill shot forward, and I was hanging on to any rigid part of it that I could to avoid falling to my death. It cut through the thick clouds, passing by other windmills I didn't see, before shooting forward even faster, to the point where my vision got warped...
