  4. //Second meeting
  5. Something still bothers you about the hole in your memory. You can remember starting to explore the bog, but after a certain point, it's all a blur. Determined to get the bottom of this, you once again head off into the swamp.
  6.
  7. Nothing eventful happens on your way to the thicker parts of the bog, but going into that unnerving gloom once again does send a shiver down your spine. You plod through the muck for some time, but just like you remember from your first journey, there aren't any signs of life here. Just as you're thinking about giving up, you feel four delicate arms wrap around you from behind.
  8.
  9. [if affection>0] "<i>Good to see you again</i>"
  10. [else] "<i>You came back! I didn't know if I'd see you again...</i>"
  11.
  12. You stumble forward and turn to face your assailant. Before you hovers a moth-girl with a {[if affection>0] sultry [else] desperate} look in her eyes. Seeing her once again, the memories from the other night come rushing back to you. Given how aggressive she was the first time, you aren't sure whether you'll need your [weapon], but it doesn't seem like she's attacking you just yet. In an attempt to defuse the situation, you tell the moth your name and ask for hers.
  13.
  14. "<i>[Name], hmm?</i>" she responds in a whisper. "<i>So lovely to be able to put a name to such a wonderful face. Mine is Sylvia.</i>"
  15.
  16. She seems content with conversation for the moment, so you press on, asking her about your last encounter and why you couldn't remember it. She explains that she releases a pheromone which can damage memory in addition to its arousing effect. While this is worrying to you, she doesn't seem too sinister. Wanting to confirm her intentions, you ask her why she attacked you the first time you met.
  17.
  18. "<i>I'm so sorry,</i>" she replies softly, "<i>but you're just too bright. Looking at you is like looking at the sun. I couldn't keep my hands away...</i>"
  19.
  20. She further explains that her kind are attracted to strong life essence, and that you seem to be positively overflowing with it. Frowning, you inform her that you don't appreciate being attacked. Sylvia apologizes again, but asks if she can still see you. You consider your response.
  21.
  22. > [Accept warily (-Dom)] [Accept meekly (+Dom)] [Reject]
  23.
  24. //Accept
  25. {[If Dom<50]
  26. Still not completely convinced that the moth-girl is safe to be around, but somewhat intrigued, you say that you wouldn't mind seeing more of her. Sylvia immediately brightens up and rushes towards you, arms outstretched. You take a step back, worried about her intoxicating effect.
  27.
  28. "<i>Oh! It shouldn't be so bad now that I've calmed down," she explains. The moth looks at the ground and timidly asks you, "<i>Can I still hug you?</i>"
  29.
  30. Overwhelmed by how adorable she looks, you step forward and wrap your arms around her. Sylvia nuzzles into you, clearly infatuated. You do still catch a hint of her pheromones, but it seems that what she said about its reduced effect is true. You squeeze her even tighter, her shallow breaths tickling your neck. After a long, pleasant hug, you pull away from the moth-girl. You explain to her that you need to go for the moment, but that you'd love to see her again.
  31.
  32. "<i>Okay, darling. I'll be waiting for you!</i>"
  33.
  34. You head back through the bog with a content smile on your face, happy to have met the strange moth.
  35.
  36. [Else]
  37. The moth-girl rushes forward and sweeps you into a hug, giddy with glee. She presses you into the patch of fur springing from her neck, and you inhale a deep breath of her aroma. Afraid of losing your memory again, you stumble backwards, much to Sylvia's confusion. Realization dawns on her face when she sees you coughing and hacking. She pulls you into a thankfully-looser embrace and pats your head soothingly.
  38.
  39. "<i>There, there. My pheromones shouldn't be too strong now that I've calmed down. I would never do anything to hurt you, darling.</i>"
  40.
  41. What she said seems to be true, as your head is much clearer than last time. Given how comforting her arms are, you see no harm in letting the moth embrace you. Sylvia seems quite content to just hold you and stroke your hair. Turning your head, your gaze sweeps across hers, and you are briefly entranced. You can't seem to look away from the inky abyss of her eyes. Her smile widens, and she starts licking her lips as her roaming hands start to get bolder. You shake your head and pull away from the moth. You explain that you need to get going and give Sylvia a nervous farewell.
  42.
  43. "<i>I guess that's enough for now. Be sure to come back soon, darling!</i>"
  44.
  45. You head back through the bog, but all the while it feels like somebody is watching you from just out of sight.
  46.
  47. //Reject
  48. The moth-girl looks like you stabbed her through the heart. She can't seem to string together a sentence in her disbelief, but you're firm in your rejection. You try to explain to her that you just aren't safe around her, but she can't hear you anymore. With a hollow look in her eyes, she gets up off the ground and silently retreats into the trees. You don't think you'll see Sylvia again.
