Qwillinallthefish Pokemon Gym Leader Try-Out Tournament on 7/30 at 5:30pm EST

Format:
VGC-Style: Doubles, Bring 6 Pick 4 (Use National Dex AG to build your team)
Double Elim Bracket, Best of 1 from start to top 4, Best of 3 from top 4 to finish! (For time's sake)
You must be following to enter, message me if you want to be in bracket. Sign-ups close 7/30
All matches will be streamed by either myself (Qwillinallthefish) or DreamsWGH, don't play until you're told to
Teamsheets are NOT available to opponent

Standard Clauses/Clarifications:
Item Clause (cannot use the same item more than once)
Species Clause (cannot use the same Pokemon more than once)
No switching teams between matches, you only get the one
Dreams Clause: If you're holding up a match, I'll DQ you this time

Rules:
1. Every team must have a theme
	- Themes/Teams will go through me (Qwillinallthefish) to be approved
	- I will not be competing in this event to make it fair for me to judge your Theme/Team
	- I will also be available to help with team testing, I've made several teams for help you all test
2. National Dex
3. Restricteds and Mythicals are banned (Ash-Greninja is being counted as a mythical here)
4. Z-Moves and Dynamax are banned (for the tournament lore). Megas are ALLOWED

Some Example Themes
Fossils Only - Aurorus/Arctozolt/Aerodactyl/Bastidon/Tyrantrum/Cradily
Mono-Pink - Audino/Miltank/Slowbro/Hatterene/Tapu Lele/Clefairy
Cereal Mascots - Toucannon (Fruit Loops)/Beedrill (Cheerios)/Raikou (Frosted Flakes)/Diggersby (Trix)/Flapple (Apple Jacks)/Mightyena (Cookie Crisp)

Not Themes
These are not allowed be themes:
1. Mono-Type*
2. Strategies/gimmicks (i.e. Rain + Swift Swimmers is not a theme)
3. Mono-Legendaries
4. Everything shares a generic move (i.e. Protect)

*Teams are not allowed to be mono-type even if they fit another theme (i.e. If you had all fossil Pokemon but also they were mono-rock, that would not be allowed). This is for lore reasons. The other 3 categories that are Not Themes can still exist if you have an alternative theme around them (i.e. The example fossil team can use Snow Warning Aurorus + Slush Rush Arctozolt because the them is fossil pokemon not weather abuse. Another example could be all the Pokemon on the mono-pink team have Protect and that's fine because the theme is mono-pink

Showdown Setup
1. Build your team in "National Dex AG" format
2. When you're set to play someone, paste this code into the challenge box. If you have any questions about what any of these codes do, let me know and I'll explain why they're there

3. Select your team in the glitchy-looking Showdown box
4. Make sure "Don't allow spectators" is unchecked (on Tournament day, I don't care if we're practicing)
5. Click Challenge

Most Creative Theme/Team: Custom designed craft project based on your theme (no gym badges)

Creativity Rubric
Teams will be judged on 4 categories. The exact format of the judging is TBD, but I'll try to make it as fair as possible while still keeping it timely.
1. Theme Idea – How interesting and creative the theme is
2. Theme Execution – How well the Pokemon picked fit the chosen theme
3. Team Viability – How well the team can do competitively (not how well it did necessarily)
4. Team Name/Nicknames – How interesting and fun the name of the team and nicknames of the Pokemon are (Team name will be taken from the pokepaste that you send me)

The Committee
These people along with me will be responsible for grading the teams on the creativity rubric. Each category will be rated from 1-5 for a max possible score of 100 points. I would also like to credit them for the work they'll be doing for the tournament outside of this.
