  1. As they enter the library, Hatsu would take it upon himself to gather various books. His eyes drift along the shelves in question, his hands gently running over the bindings of the more ancient texts. What he was looking for happened to be related to the origins of necromancy, attempting to date the art back to the earliest recorded portions of history. He has long awaited for Malentine to escort him to the Grand Library, but perhaps that would have to wait just a bit longer while he made final preparations. His weapon was in the midst of being made, and thus he would further his knowledge on Necromancy while speaking with Cordelia.
  2.
  3. As he sets aside a small stack of books upon the table, he would glance over at Cordelia with a hint of scrutiny. "Tell me, Cordelia. Are you happy here?"
  4.
  5. An odd question, but one that he felt necessary to ask all the same.
  6. (Hatsu Wvelven)
  7.
  8. She followed along behind him patiently, every so often looking over the lines of books they passed by, taking them in. Perhaps if she actually survived long enough to be reborn, maybe she should end up visiting the library more. What else does one do with immortality after all? Eventually, as he set the books down she tilted her head,
  9.
  10. "What do you mean? In Dawn? Or as I am?" she asked.
  11. (Cordelia)
  12.
  13. His eyes scour the texts with great scrutiny, allowing his hands to palm the expanse of the tables. His head tilts downward to take in all of the information that the text provided, though it only held some obscure mentioning of bodies being able to rise under special conditions. He had been toiling away with various bodies to ensure they would rise again, but it would be in his best interest to keep his knowledge expanding. Perhaps that was why he had acquired the body of dead animals on occasion, though he certainly did not have any upon him. Animals were far easier than people, after all, and they came in much greater supply he found.
  14.
  15. "Both. I wish to know your thoughts, and try to understand you better. It's come to my attention that you've had an altercation or two, and I apologize for you having to put up with it." He states quietly, setting aside a book or two in order to make preparations for his next set of experimentations. These specific books had small portions of text that alluded to the previous experiments of the past.
  16.
  17. What better way to accelerate his learning process by reading upon the failures and observations of those in the past? While the context was surely boring, it would refine the process in which he's learned to reanimate the dead, and perhaps come to learn how to expand upon his horizons to a craft that went beyond such for future endeavors.
  18.
  19. For now, however, the basics were necessary.

  21.
  22. She seemed interested in his question before she eventually chuckled, shaking her head,
  23.
  24. "Aspen knew it was a joke, so it was less an altercation and just a prank she played on me," she said, crossing her arms, "I dislike being stuck in one relative place, but Nautia makes me happy. Plus I ended up going to Huangzhou anyway to deliver a letter from Alastor, to the Shogun... Nothing was there. Apparently Ethan isn't even there, so my paranoia was probably unfounded."
  25. (Cordelia)
  26.
  27. A pause is given as his organizing of his books were placed upon hold. He wished very much to have them properly placed in consecutive order to ensure the process of beginning his next experiment had gone well enough. Idle chatter with a bit of boring researching never hurt anyone, though it appeared Cordelia had allowed herself to slip-up in her recollection. His eyes gently lid as the books are carefully aligned with one another, and then placed into a small knapsack that he had been carrying on his person. It's set off to the side once he felt satisfied with the progress he's made in the preliminary stages.
  28.
  29. Cordelia, however, was not so fortunate as she had evidently broken the promise she had made. He sits beside her once everything was properly taken care of, only for his eyes to drift over toward the woman with a neutral gaze. "You went where, now?" He inquires, his voice bordering upon sweet as his hand idly tapped the wooden portion of his chair.
  30.
  31. Surely, she wasn't serious!
  32. (Hatsu Wvelven)
