- The basic server security includes SSH,/tmp hardening, firewall installation. Ensure that the server should be always running in one of the latest stable kernel versions. Enabling CloudLinux, also offers better security, which helps in avoiding potential kernel vulnerabilities. Installing custom firewalls like CSF,immunify360 and configuring it is a good practice, which limits the access and temporarily block potential intruders. Enabling cPHulkd feature protects the server from brute force attacks.
- For enhancing the security features towards individual websites, hence to prevent from DDOS attacks, CloudFlare DDOS protection service is a better solution. Even if cPanel offers better security toward PHP by default, however make sure that the dangerous PHP functions like exec, system should be disabled for websites in PHP configuration settings. Also make sure that that 777 permission is not given for any web files, which gives read-write permissions to nobody users and which is a potentials risk. Always use complex passwords and it should be a regular practice to reset Root password and other admin passwords once in a while.

- I've used the service of Steven @ Rack911's service in the past and can highly recommend them, and I'm sure that many users in this forum will agree with this recommendation.
