  1. Hey guys. This has been on my mind for a while now, but I think it's about time to announce this publicly. After 1.7, I will no longer be leading Mega Man Maker's development. I may stick around for occasional support, but I will not make any more major contributions to the project.

  3. This does not mean that 1.7 will be the last update. After my retirement, Luigi (one of our game programmers) and Goldstorm (one of our server programmers) will carry the torch forward as the new project leaders. We cannot yet say exactly what the future has in store, but this will certainly not be the end of the journey.

  5. Throughout its 4+ years of development, we have added an insane amount of features and content. The project has greatly exceeded my expectations, and as of version 1.6, my original vision is complete: creating an intuitive level editor featuring content from all main-line Mega Man titles. Version 1.7 serves as a good way of tying up loose ends, but after that, it is time for me to move on to other projects.

  7. Working on the game has been a joy, and it's in no small part thanks to the community. While we cannot always make it obvious, we truly appreciate the feedback you guys have given us to make the game as good as it can be. Game changers like weapon capsules and multiple bosses may have never been implemented if it wasn't for your suggestions, and it is great to see so many creative design ideas explored in your levels. As of today, we have close to 190,000 users and 170,000 levels, which are insane numbers for a fan game. Thank you guys for making all of this worthwhile!

  9. As for me, I will primarily focus on 30XX. I have ideas for new projects that I want to explore, but I am unsure when I'll be able to get to them. If you want to stay updated, I will share updates on my projects on Twitter: https://twitter.com/WreckingProg

  11. I realize that this probably came out of nowhere and may be a lot to take in, so if you have any questions, don't be afraid to send me a DM. Thank you guys again!
