Two years out of high school, currently working a temporary job for some monies while I look for something permanent.
What are your best and worst qualities? What do you feel makes you stand out as an applicant?
I'm a fast learner, I can usually adapt to boss mechanics very quickly and I generally ask for a more in-depth explanation if I'm unable to do so.

When I'm uncomfortable or make a (huge) mistake I'll generally almost..clam up and go really quiet, but I try harder while I do so.

On your character, what do you excel at? What do you need to work on?
I'm pretty good at keeping dots rolling on boss targets (horridon, tortos) while cleaving down adds and what not via the use of focus macros and such.

I'm not the most amazing at managing my fury as Demo, I do sometimes fury cap when I'm saving up for Dark Soul but it's generally only for a few seconds.
History

Never raided before 5.2, got my lock to 90 about a week after the 5.2 patch and decided I'd give raiding a go, ended up getting into Aftermath and going 3/13 with them, then left due to a number of reasons, joined Divinity and got to 10/13H with them before Brav decided to end our group because he didn't want to progress two groups at once in 5.4 with 5 people in both groups (burnouts etc), joined Midnight Company about a month and a half ago with the intention of helping them kill Lei Shen, but this still hasn't happened because people keep dying in phase 1, transition 1, on the pull, etc.

Aftermath - Joined for my first experience as a raider and got to 3/13H in Throne of Thunder
Divinity - 10/13H
Midnight Company - 200 pulls on Heroic Lei Shen, most of which ended in the first transition

etc etc. Lei Shen for the entirety of the last month, have yet to kill a single boss with my 608 cloak since I got it the week Brav disbanded the group in Divinity.

What are you looking for in a guild? Why did you choose to apply to Demise instead of hundreds of other guilds?
I want a good, stable raiding environment that pushes hard modes at a fast pace. I'm applying to several top guilds but as far as I can tell none of them need a warlock.
What can Demise expect from you? Do you regularly contribute to strategy development in your current guild? Do you stand in fires? Do you take criticism well?
I'm pretty good at problem solving, sometimes I come up with ways to deal with something that other people might not. I didn't have a whole hell of a lot to contribute in Divinity's group since 5 of the 10 people were 13/13H and they already knew what was up. I don't stand in fire, although I may occasionally cross one in the mess of spell effects.

I would say I take criticism a lot better than I did the last time I applied here. I got chewed out by a lock from the top 50 group and ended up going with what Cyner was telling me anyway even though I didn't like it.

I think the biggest thing I could say is that I don't have the same mentality as I did the last time I applied, I see things a lot differently and am much more open to criticism after having my play torn apart in Divinity.

You say your play was torn apart in Divinity, how did they go about criticizing you? Was there enough improvement to pass your trial, or did you not really get to that point because of the 2nd group disbanding?

Have you done any PTR testing on SoO?

I think Affliction is going to be extremely good at multidotting council-type fights because of the base dot damage increase, although it could go either way because of the nightfall proc rework, Aff might perhaps lacking in single target because of the 40% MG/DS nerfs but the same nightfall rework could end up with Haunt having extremely high uptime, I'm not 100% sure yet.

I'm extremely apprehensive about demo playstyle with the removal of the Everlasting Affliction glyph and the RPPM haste reworks (especially in reference to the UVLS trinket,) when I first did PTR testing and I had the new tier bonuses on I felt like I had exactly zero fury all the time compared to the way I play on Live now, but I guess I'll just have to get better at weaving in and out of Meta (I've never played Demo without the T15 set bonuses, so it'll be pretty awkward at first.)

Haven't really toyed around with Destro but I might give it a shot because they're taking Rain of Fire out of the single target rotation.

I did some testing early in the process with Divinity on Sha of Pride and something else, but that was right before my group broke and I didn't really go on the ptr after that until just very recently.

Last week(?) I did some heroic 25 man testing with Duality on Spoils and I did one or two pulls on Thok before I got punted for a guild member.

I did quite a bit of testing on the training dummies in the shrine early on in the PTR...session, I guess. I'm not a terribly huge fan of the cleave trinkets because unless it procs on a Chaos Bolt or a Meta Soul Fire it's just going to tickle something else nearby. I've currently got my eyes on the Purified trinket from Immerseus and Black Blood of Y'saarj from Garrosh for Affliction, and I have no idea what Demo could use if UVLS is unusable, which might be the case because mine is only 530 and I think the 549 version barely procs often enough to keep a crit doom rolling without the EA glyph, but I haven't been able to properly test that since I don't have a HTF UVLS.

Somehow managed to skip over the play tearing because I was going back and forth. One of the other locks basically got nitty-gritty with my stats (haste vs. mastery) and showed me exactly how to make one work better than the other, what sort of fights promote usage of which stat. He taught me some useful things in terms of shadowflame clipping and made sure I knew how to use Grimoire of Service properly, and then I got yelled at for not playing Destro on Primordius, so I started having to go back to SW twice each raid and ended up permanently leaving my stats geared towards mastery since I was playing all three specs.

I'm not exactly sure if my trial was already over or if it was still in progress when the group ended, I think the group was at 3 or 4/13 when I joined it and I was in the first kill of everything except Durumu, I think if the group had continued I would have been kept in it.
