  21. Yes they are the same, that's just Yoasts term for it. The biggest article in the site basicaly, the article you push links too.
  22. It depends on what you want to do. If you want to rank all the pages, then give a link from the pillar article to other pages. Why? Cause most of the time you will give links to the pillar article so it will have more authority and it will bring benefits to other pages.

(Do not forget to put outbound links in the pillar article so it looks normal and giving value for search engine and not too optimised just to rank)
