Hell of Rust

Silent Man,
Desiccated and alone,
Forever alone save one,
Silent man’s noisy footfalls
Fall upon the endless rust
The red blowing rust
Endless dry desert of rust
Pillars of rust whose construction he does not know or care
Alone save for that, the silent watcher in the distance
Is it real, he does not know
Wherever he walks, however far he goes
In the distance to his side the pillar stands,
A robe shaped pillar in the distance
