  1. She had made a great point, and her logic made perfect sense to the young Wvelven. He didn't wish to have his allegiances advertised, and more often than not, he avoided having anything tying him to one place. Having allegiances to a specific area would automatically create an issue with another, a conundrum that continually escaped Jhin's thoughts. To side with one was to immediately become an enemy with another, and this issue left him thoroughly miffed.
  2.
  3. "You make a great point! It's best to get it out of your system before you wind up settling down somewhere. With the situation in Dawn, you're literally enemies with virtually every city that isn't Crafthold. Huangzhou isn't a horrible place, despite what many people say about it. The people in it could use a good kick in the rear, but I'm sure they mean well." He states quietly, gazing at his counter-part with a thoughtful expression.
  4.
  5. She was a bit younger than he was, but she had a sound head on her shoulders. While her smile is tarnished, a rare one of his own forms as he looks back into the field. He didn't get to have discussions such at these, most of the time. "What sort of goals do you have, if you don't mind sharing any with me?"

  89. (Renshu Anxiang)
  90.
  91. Nakiri Reiha has emerged victorious!
  92.
  93. Crimson hues peered at Jhin blankly, "Why do you think the people in Huangazhou need a good kick in the rear if you believe they are truly doing what's right or that they mean well?"
  94.
  95. Was he really that upset about the denial of official aid to Gehenna?
  96.
  97. Then the subject of goals came up to which she answered swiftly, "Simple, I want to be like those I idolize in either diplomacy, power, or ability... I don't wish for peace but instead Huangzhou's prosperity even at the cost of other settlements."
  98. (Daiyu Bavmor)
  99.
  100.
  101. Daiyu Bavmor says, "Making friends and learning more is good too."
  102.
  103.
  104.
  105. Huangzhou [SETTLEMENT]
  106.
  107. The last remaining settlement of the people of the land of Sheng. Traditional style homes are abundant with a core of decendants of the original settlers of these lands.
  108.
  109. The people tend to be the hardiest specimens of that race, only the fittest and cunning were able to survive this long in these war torn lands.
  110.
  111.
  112. Yikes.
  113.
  114. "Some of these very same people are too blinded by arrogance to see what's in front of them. Others are just in the mind-set that they can do no wrong, just because they're older than some of us. It's an unfortunate reality, but I don't aspire to be like any of those people. To cause such a disconnect between those within your city is a bit of a messy situation. Whom you idolize is your decision, but learning from their mistakes is something you ought to do. Otherwise history just repeats itself, despite everyone trying to avoid that."
  115.
  116. He was stubborn in his opinion of those within Huangzhou, and it wasn't going to change easily. The majority of those in charge have proven that they were not individuals for him to place his trust into. While Daiyu's mother was not among those, the resentment garnered from people purposely turning their backs upon those in help bothered him. It isn't until she speaks of wishing for nothing but Huangzhou's prosperity that she receives a stern side-eye.
  117.
  118. "What you speak of is a horrible thing to wish for. To cast away everyone else on this continent for the singular gain of this city is a sinful thought. It's greedy, and you'd be forsaking the untold amount of folks out there. That is why we're at ends with other cities, and why war is occurring so often. If you refuse to be conscious of your neighbors, is it going to be a surprise when they all gather together to strike Huangzhou down?"
  119.
  120. The youth folds his arms along his chest, peering toward the horizon with a gentle frown. That sort of selfish thinking was how people wound up in this sort of situation to begin with. A blatant disregard for the well-being of others was how all this bloodshed had spread, after all.
  121. (Jhin Wvelven)

  133. Zen Kumo picks up Whitefur Cape.
  134.
  135.
  136. Zen Kumo says, "."
  137. "I know where you're coming from Jhin, and I think that's actually universal in all honesty. It's not a Huangzhou exclusive thing. Everyone believes they're righteous and relative to their own perspective they would be right. Those that conflict with your beliefs you'll percieve as wrong naturally. History will always repeat itself regardless of your own intention or action because people are people and always will be.", the girl replied grimly, "Things have looped again and again since the beginning, and they will always continue to despite everyone trying to avoid it. Do you think yourself the first to want to stop this cycle of violence and hate?... Do you even think you'll be the last?"
  138.
  139. The Bavmor too was stubborn of her own conviction, but she would more than respect the boy's view and opinions and hear him out if he was willing to hear her in turn. It was an equivalent exchange of ideals and wishes.
  140.
  141. Daiyu's expression remained blank and hard to read as her Crimson hues never once left Jhin for a moment, but a small smile came to her lips the moment he described her wish as horrible, "I also think you misunderstand. I don't wish to be blinded by arrogance, nor always find myself righteous. I simply want to be powerful, versatile, and able to articulate my thoughts properly to a public audience. All of which are admirable traits in my opinion."
  142.
  143. There was a small pause before the girl would add, "It might be a horrible wish, but it's not uncommon I'm sure. Every faction wants to protect and nurture their best interests, their friends, and family. I will not cast them aside for another. Not now, and not ever. If Gehenna was as much of a neighbor as you claim them to be then they would return the favor. They would cast out the demon like they promised to, but they didn't. They didn't respect our terms, so we won't help them. If they don't respect our terms then they don't respect us. We /won't/ be pushed around by them or help when we made everything perfectly clear. When our enemies gather together to strike us down, we'll fight back."
  144. (Daiyu Bavmor)
  145.
  146. Perhaps it was her age, but the idea of them simply fighting back when waiting for their enemies to amass even more strength left him exasperated. The enemy laid before them as it was, a clear-cut opportunity to put a stop to this ever-growing tidal wave of carnage that would only increase in both force and size. Every passing day was another opportunity for Obsidia to garner more folks with likened minds, for more corpses to be raised in the process. As thins currently stood, it was a free-for-all, and Huangzhou had strayed well away from the battle itself.
  147.
  148. "I've had this conversation for literal hours with those in charge of Huangzhou. Their reasoning is to simply allow Gehenna to potentially fall, and then await to act after more lives have been lost. To knowingly overlook a growing evil, all because of stubbornness is tantamount to allowing that evil to fester. To hide behind policies and make excuses as to why we shouldn'thelp our fellow man is a problem."
  149.
  150. A gentle ringing in his head could be heard, whispers of incoherency bouncing about. He felt a sense of confidence in what he was saying, despite his inexperience. Zeriel perhaps looks at things from a cold, calculative perspective. But the issue with such was that it still didn't make much sense, in the end. Gehenna would likely come to join Obsidia if it failed to hold them back, and Huangzhou would certainly be forced to fight an even stronger army that could've been cut to size.
  151.
  152. "You're free to stick with your own thoughts on how things should be ran, but there's a reason the majority of folks are against this route. One way or another, some sort of change will occur within this city. For better or worse, I'm not sure, just yet." His tone is solemn, and the harsh squint he bestows upon the horizon made it abundantly clear that this was a subject in which he was extremely passionate about.
  153.
  154. It was a subject that he didn't wish to continually encroach upon, and have to deliberate on. His shoulders gently sag as he comes to look about, only to realize that the field had been all but cleared. Rather than dwelling on their conflicting thoughts on a topic, he'd turn to face Daiyu properly. "You're free to speak your piece, but once you do, I'd prefer to just talk about something else. Did you want to head back?"
  155. (Jhin Wvelven)
