Kaisou City is a proper metropolis, with a couple million in population in the metro area. There's multiple neighborhoods and districts scattered across the city. If you don't have a car to get around, there's a reliable bus and subway system available.

The notable locations in the city are:

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">University District</span>
Named after <b>Kaisou University</b>, the largest college in the metro area. Kaisou University is a fairly large university, offering all sorts of degree programs and a sizable reference library for anyone who wishes to study. For those looking for a 2 year degree, <b>Kaisou Community and Technical College</b> can also be found in this district. There's an ample amount of affordable student housing, whether you want to live in dorms or in places near the campus. A number of businesses are scattered around the district that cater to college students: bookstores, novelty shops, cheap restaurants and, of course, questionably cheap bars.

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">Central Square</span>
Found more or less near the center of the city, this is seen as the "downtown" area of the city. <b>City Hall</b> and the <b>Courthouse</b> can be found in this district, as well skyscrapers full of office buildings of varying types. During the week you'll see this place full of people in business suits walking around on important business. <b>Kaisou Central Hospital</b> can also be found in this district, though there are various doctor offices and clinics scattered across the town as well.

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">Shopping Street</span>
The largest commercial district of Kaisou. This is where you'll find a lot of the popular chains, such as an Ikea and Neiman Marcus. Plenty of mainstream and chain restaurants can be found here as well - basically the kind of food that's nicer than cheap fast food but safe enough to bring your unadventurous relatives. <b>Seven Star Mall</b> can also be found in this district, which is home to several specialty shops such as a tech-focused pawn shop, an imported food grocery store, and a rather popular anime and video game shop.

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">Cathedral Hill</span>
Named after the <b>Cathedral</b> that is the largest landmark in the neighborhood, Cathedral Hill actually has a number of religious temples and shrines scattered throughout. A synagogue, a mosque, a buddhist temple, a shinto shrine - with how many different immigrant groups Kaisou attracts, it's only natural the places of worship would reflect that. There's housing to be found in this neighborhood too if you're looking for a quiet neighborhood where not a lot happens. In fact it's been noted that out of all the districts in the city, this neighborhood seems to experience the least amount of Spirit Realm-related incidents.

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">Blue Fish Park</span>
While there are many parks across Kaisou, Blue Fish Park is the most well known. <b>Blue Fish Lake</b> is a large enough lake to be a popular fishing spot, and you can rent out boats for any romantic dates. There's an outdoor cafe that sells seasonal drinks and snacks and a few food stalls around the park during the warmer months. The park also includes a skatepark, a basketball court, a playground, baseball fields, a Japanese-style garden, and a very normal duck pond. Near the park is the <b>Blue Fish Zoo</b>, which has loads of different animal exhibits. Apartments and houses near this park tend to be on the pricey side, with some of the luxury condos being more expensive than a whole house in other neighborhoods.

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">Brick Alley</span>
Brick Alley earned its name from it's brick streets and buildings that make up its look. This area is considered the trendy part of town, where you'll find a lot of specialty shops and cultural places such as art galleries and antique bookstores. There's half a dozen coffee shops in this area, all of them independently owned. Restaurants and bars in this area tend to go for trendy and experimental foods. In other words, it's a hipster's paradise here. This is a popular place to live for young adults out of college, and while it's more affordable than Blue Fish Park, some of the prices here can be pretty steep.

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">Midtown</span>
A large residential area comprised of several different smaller neighborhoods, offering a wide array of housing for low to middle class families. <b>Kaisou Public High School</b> can be found here, as well as a few private school scattered throughout the district. Many neighborhood shops and restaurants can be found here, making this the place to go for any beloved hole-in-the-wall locations as well as foods that play it less safe than Shopping Street, but less experimental than Brick Alley. The most notable location is the <b>Midtown Market</b>, which is a large indoor marketplace with a large array of small vendors you won't typically find in a normal mall.

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">Entertainment District</span>
The main hub for Kaisou's nightlife. This district is full of nightclubs, bars, maid cafes, and concert venues. For younger folks, there's also an arcade and a movie theater, though students are usually discouraged from wandering this area at night as it can be a pretty rough place. Rumors have it that there is organized crime situated in this district, though that could be simply rumors. There is housing here that's dirt cheap, but just know-- you <a href="https://worstroom.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/worst-apartment-loft.jpeg">get</a> what you pay for. The entrance to <b>Undertown</b> can be found in this district.

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">Undertown</span>
Found through the Entertainment District. To normal people, this appears nothing more as a closed-off subway station. If you ask around, people will say it was a subway station that was halfway through construction before it got caught up in legal redtape and was ultimately halted. But for those connected with the paranormal, they will find the station is perfectly accessible. Inside they will find a subway station that's been converted into an expansive hidden marketplace devoted to items connected to the paranormal. Spell ingredient shops, book vendors with a focus on supernatural readings (though it's hard to gauge what's accurate and what's fictional), restaurants that serve meals using ingredients harvested from the spirit realm, magical weapon smiths, fortune tellers - you can find just about anything here. There's no singular group running the Undertown market. Some shops are affiliated with Zodiac, while others have emblems showing allegiances to other groups, and some are just independent merchants. Depending on the rarity of some items, the prices can get pretty steep. You may have to save up money or do some favors if you wanna get access to the best items sold here.

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">Kaisou Beach</span>
The Kaisou Beach sits on the ocean on the edge of town. Which ocean is it? Is it even an ocean? Who can say! This is a popular tourist destination during the summer, with the beautiful sandy beaches and clear blue water. There's a pier with different tourist shops and food stalls, as well as a small amusement park.

<span style="font-size: 125%; font-weight: bold; color: #6032b0;">Kami State Park</span>
A large state park that sits on the border of the city. This is a park for folks who are looking for something wilder than the carefully cultivated Blue Fish Park. This state park has a wide array of hiking trails and campsites for people to spend time. Wild animals roam this park freely, so be careful with any food you pack.
